How would you return to the ship in Chioggia if not on the Viking shuttle? Possibly a group could arrange for a private shuttle?

If I wanted to see Venice on my own, I’d probably want to stay beyond 4:00 and have dinner in Venice. Do the Viking water taxi’s run later than what is scheduled for the excursion?

Our August 15 cruise will dock in Stornoway for about 6 hours. Is anyone familiar with Stornoway?

Any suggestions for the 2 day pre cruise in Bergen, besides those shown on the Viking website?

MVJ only asks for seat preferences. Would it do any good to call VA+ and give them our preferences (stops, duration, airline) for flights that haven’t been booked yet? We are 9 months out.

For ORD to BGO, the shortest duration flights seem to be through Amsterdam or Frankfort, per KAYAK.

What are the likely routes to Bergen from U.S? LHR?

My father was interned there during the war.

When the ship is docked overnight in Bergen or London, can you always get back on the ship if you are on a private evening tour?

The excursions for BIE show a flightseeing tour of the fjords near Bergen. I thought I read somewhere there were also private boat tours (Viator?) of the fjords.
