Is anyone familiar with the Marble House in Athens? Friend recommended. Thoughts?

Wow, Athens Gate is already booked for our May 2024 Athens to Venice cruise. Does anyone know the Marble House?

I suppose there will be others staying in London after disembarking in Greenwich. Is there any way to share transportation to hotels, other than asking everyone on the ship?

What time does Viking typically transfer you to the ship from the pre cruise hotel? How long to check in and disembark if you want to spend more time in the port? I asked Viking if we could just send our bags to the ship, but it could cause a problem with identifying bags.

Viking booked the Athens Hilton for our 2 day pre extension May 2024. Thoughts on location?

In the event there are only a few meet&mingle participants, where in the ship would be a good venue for an informal meet up?

Also saw some negative comments on a fb group. Viking has booked us into the Splendid Hotel at Lake Maggiore for our May 2024 post cruise extension. Guess I will have to watch for changes and reviews.

Looking for excursion recommendations for our Bergen extension in August. We have 1 free day before embarking on the Viking Mars. Hiking, food, and tour boats are okay, but no small planes. Booked Fjell Fortress with our cruise.

Just to follow up, the shipboard credits are not available until embarkation, so we can’t use them for excursion booking. Probably won’t matter since the $500 credit will go to prepaid tips.

Upon further review, here is what Viking sent me when they gave us shipboard credits due to a change in the itinerary. ”We hope you will find this change acceptable, and as a token of our appreciation for your understanding, we are providing you with a shipboard credit of $250 per guest—which can be applied toward optional shore excursions, spa services, Silver Spirits Beverage Package or any other onboard purchases.” I will have to call to make sure I can use the shipboard credits for excursions as they are not showing up in MVJ payments.

Are Shipboard credits supposed to show up on MVJ? Can they be used for shore excursion booking on MVJ when excursion booking first opens?

Thank you. So, if wife and I each have a glass of “house” wine before dinner and then another glass or 2 of house wine with dinner, our cost would be about $16 (2x$8) vs. $50 per day for the SSBP, with the dinner house wine “free”. Am I figuring this correctly?

Thanks KBs mum. The menus posted earlier in this thread show several wines at $6 per glass. Is this the typical price with or without the SS package? Thanks !!!

If you want to purchase a bottle and want a pre-dinner glass of wine as well as with dinner, where do you purchase the bottle?

For our Greenwich disembarkation, it seems that we should be okay with booking a 9:30-10:00am car.

If you want to book a car hire to meet at the dock, about when will Viking assign you a disembarkation time?

Apparently, the only excursion for the August 15th BIE in Scrabster is the Historic Market Town of John O’Groats. Has anyone been there?

Very little activity on the August 15 BIE roll call as well. Are the private tours more economical or just better tours than the Viking tours?

Has anyone taken the Dublin excursions recently? What was offered?
