Customs may not need any photo ids due to facial recognition. they use your boarding photo as the picture it uses to find you. Earlier this week i got off the oasis that also docks at Bayonne and it uses the facial recognition system

i never book with a travel agent. during the covid era, i never received a gift card refund and the issue for me was my address not on file in one of the many systems carnival uses. once they added the address i got the gift card within a few days i also noticed that once they updated the address in that system, my emails with my booking confirmation now has my address on it whereas before it had a unknow address

i book all of my cruises with my first and last name. when i get onboard the ship i noticed they automatically add my middle name to my onboard account since that's the name that is on my passport. Will i have a problem on my next NCL cruise because they will want a credit card that has my middle name on it? my credit card only has first and last name.

the actual reason for the late departure is because the prima had to leave the terminal first and then the joy pulled in to begin boarding for that cruise the ship repositioning had no real effect, it was a berth availability issue

you need to pack and bring your own snacks or buy in port. ship does not provide you can go to the buffet onboard the ship to refill the water bottle, use a clean glass for the refill

carnival handled the ship switch horrible. cabins were unassigned for many weeks and at the same time taking new bookings. they should of never taken new booking until after the cabins were assigned. for me, i had to wait about a month to get my cabin assignment

this seems like a cast change is taking place that week and they need more time to practice the shows onboard the ship. it can be different doing the show rehearsals in the studio on land vs onboard the ship

not unique to the Joy, in October the Norwegian Escape will be doing the Bermuda cruises out of NYC with a 6pm departure time.. the departure time changed when they removed Norfolk, VA from the itinerary

I am on the 6/15 inaugural sailing. i was originally booked on the magic in a 1A porthole cabin that had a small view of the ocean. When the ship switch happen, i was downgraded to a basic interior cabin with no windows at all. Carnival says this is an upgrade since i went from 1A to like 4B category To me going to a room with no window or view is a massive downgrade

I got off the Oasis of the seas which docks in New Jersey. Friday night and all day Saturday there is was lots of fog and the ship blasting the fog horn. Most likely the Joy had the same issue with the fog and had to reduce speed making the ship late

goood news, Florida DOT is in the process of replacing that bridge with a new taller bridge that does not need to open. still a long way for it to happen but it is in planning stage
