  1. The app falls a little short when you're trying to find all the open/close times of some places. For example, tomorrow Java Blue shows as being open from (early) to something like 11... beyond that there's no mention of any time that they reopen the rest of the day/evening. In the Fun Times, it shows where they reopen at 3 (or 3:30). Tom
  2. Yesterday - delivered to our cabana. The fries were only so-so, but that was mainly because they were almost cold by the time they made it to us. Today, I went and got it myself, and they were good fries (and hot!). As good as way-back-when? perhaps not, but they were still very tasty. I was told that this sailing was the FIRST sailing of the Celebration where all the cabanas were booked. It showed, as the service was rather slow - it took 45+ minutes to get the order of fried mozzarella we ordered today. For food orders, if you're hungry - and want it fresh/hot - go get it yourself ! Tom
  3. It pretty much has everything you need, without a lot of the inserts and ads that used to be in the regular fun times
  4. Gotcha. On the Mardi Gras (end of Feb to early March) they had yet to bring them back. Tom
  5. I was surprised to see them left in our mail slot the last two evenings on the Celebration. At any rate, happy to see them again! Tom
  6. 13 of us. This is our annual office cruise - I treated them and a few spouses to dinner. (Thanks Carnival!) Tom
  7. It has the added benefit of having no sugar, unlike ketchup. I mean, you're getting enough carbs in the fries to begin with (and the cucumber sunrise, and the Rudi's key lime pie, and the chocolate martinis....lol). I'm going to drop by Guy's sometime today or tomorrow (Celebration) and check out their fries. I will say, I really enjoyed mine from Big Chicken yesterday ! Tom
  8. One day (night) into this. Yep, I don't think this will be a "problem"! 🙂 Tom
  9. Still, nothing to sneeze at! At our 50% point, we used ours on different sailings, and barely hit $1K Tom
  10. How do we really know that someone didn't get sick as a result of this? We really have no idea. Let's just say, if the staff kept everything to the standards which they should, at least foodborne illness would be far less likely. Tom
  11. On the Epic, you can always go for one of the 2-br suites and enjoy a really nice bathroom 🙂 Blinds in the shower, just in case you're in port ! Tom
  12. Heading out on the Carnival Celebration tomorrow, and their room service wings are not bad at all (a far cry from when they introduced them initially several years ago). They're a few bucks but, because of the cabin we're in, we get everything on room service at NC. You can bet there's an afternoon coming with a few wing orders and a couple of beers. 🙂 Tom
  13. I keep an eye out for them as well - and the only place I saw them was at the Sports Bar (extra cost - can't recall how much though). Tom
  14. Any idea if the Seaside has opened up food options again in the Sports Bar? On our 4/27 sailing, we went there for wings, but they were not serving any food (bartender said they were too short on staff). Tom
  15. It's "regular" OBC. I've had a couple other casino bookings where I got promo chips. I prefer the OBC! Tom
  16. Funny - I'm like 3-4 behind Cheryl (girls cruises, and not a chance in hell for a "boys" cruise). She put off claiming hers so we could both get it on this one. Tom
  17. I'm not sure - but that's an interesting question. I think it only pertains to the cruise fare itself. Tom
  18. I think it's a use-it-or-loose-it OBC. Since it only appears right before the sailing, that would be a no (as to if it could go towards paying for the cruise). Not to worry, I'll whittle it down to ZERO (or below!) before they kick us off 🙂 Tom
  19. Is this some type of boil/bite mouthguard, or a flex partial which needs hot water (usually only necessary at the delivery appointment)? Tom
  20. That's because you never sail.. LOL 😉 I think I've been on two roll calls with you that you've had to cancel. Perhaps third time will be the charm! Tom
  21. Carnival marches to the beat of (their own) drummer. Kettles and coffee makers are provided on some other lines. Heck, a couple times on NCL they even brought me a clothes iron and a full size ironing board for use in our cabin. Tom
