Hi all. First time in club class shortly. I understand there is not a separate entrance to club class dining on the royal. Is there a separate line to reach it? Do you just walk past everyone else waiting in the main line to be seated? I could see this causing a few comments or alterations. What is the protocol? Thank you.

I am not a TA. I just went to princess site without logging in and did a pretend booking for our cruise to see how many suites were open. Then I did the same after I won the bid to see how many were still open. I just did a search for your cruise and it says suites are sold out. But still bid when you get the offer, you never know!

I bid the minimum amount plus 25 dollars. There were and are a ton of suites open on our cruise and after the bidding it looks like there were only two bids -- the rest of the suites are still showing open. Ours is not a popular cruise. Which is good.

There were about seven aft penthouses and six midship ones open prior to bidding start.

We were in a regular mini suite and the minimum bid was around 1000 each. Special trip for us, so worth the added expense.

Just got notice our bid for a. Aft penthouse on nov 6 royal was accepted. Even got assigned the suite we would have selected ourselves.

We will swap out for a bottle of wine, as long as they let us choose the type and pay any difference in cost. Sometimes they do, sometimes they do not. Hate the cheap Chardonnay they have.

The bids are by location for club class. You bid on club class forward facing or on club class, which are the midship rooms. Totally agree on bidding on the balconies, not sure where you would be.

@ceilidh Thank you for the great updates. If possible, would love one or two pics of the cardio equipment mainly the steppers, arm motion machines, etc. Hubby is in Cardiac Rehab after a double bypass, and we will be doing his first post-surgery cruise on the Royal in early November. Would like to be able to show the cardia rehab people the equipment on board to have them develop a plan for him for the week. No worries if you can't. I totally get it!

Hi all, we are scheduled on the Royal princess arriving into port at 7 am on a Sunday. We have a 1:15 pm flight out of Oakland instead of sfo. Princess will not let us book oak airport except for the next day. So, any concerns about making our flight. Looks like it’s only a few miles longer than sfo. We are planning to do walk off, grab an Uber and go straight to oak airport. So is that reasonable?

Okay never mind, all the open suites are back showing today.

Okay. So I bid on a few suite categories and the club class mini for Nov 6 California coastal. I have been watching the open cabins, a ton of them in all bid categories as of yesterday. Today, nothing open, all showing sold out. So they must be processing the bids. I guess my minimum’s for all the categories did not work as I did not get any type of notice😀. That is fine, happy with our current mini!

We bid the minimums as well. We shall see. Lots of club class and suites open so maybe we will get lucky!

Just got offer for Nov 6, 2022 7 day California coastal on royal from San Francisco. Our original cabin is a mini suite MA. Forward Facing Club Mini = $85 pp Club Class Mini = 110 pp Premium Suite = $550 pp Penthouse Suite = $700 pp Penthouse Suite Aft Facing = $1030 pp

Just booked a cruise out of San Fran for November 6, 22. So, have the excessive boarding lines and waits settled down or should we plan on bringing our own chairs, bladder buddies, and blankies on boarding day?

Where are the arrival boarding groups now on the medallion app? They have disappeared off my three bookings. One cruise leaves in 51 days so I am watching to see when they open for selection, but the category no longer shows on the travel checklist

Thank you. I was able to send the request thru the website, not thru medallion. I got a message that said request sent. DH is lamenting about not getting his fettuccine Alfredo or new York cheesecake, so we have negotiated a one meal exception. He does not do the soups nor care a lot for the sauces, so I think he will do good.

Thank you both, I did go to the dietary restrictions, low sodium is NOT one of the options to select. Only gluten, allergies on the medallion! However, I found it through the clicking on bed requests! So thank you! .
