  1. You should go to the main dining room when you first board to set up dining arrangements. You will likely need to schedule a set time all week and secure a specific table. They can hardly accommodate a walk up for a family of 4 with MTD, let alone 10!
  2. I always put non-fat or 1% in my tea and coffee. I didn’t realize so many people actually use half and half or cream!
  3. Stop off at cafe promenade if you want espresso. The staff make a great espresso drink. The windjammer stuff doesn’t make the best espresso drinks on Adventure, IMHO
  4. I’ll be sailing her two years from now! Long wait…
  5. I’m almost to the point where I don’t get off the ship at Labadee anymore. Depends on my mood. I prefer Cococay but getting a bit annoyed at the Perfect Day song blaring all day (even on the ship now!) Im perfectly okay if the ship doesn’t stop at either port. Much better beach days to be had Eastern or Southern Caribbean routes.
  6. Book before your cruise if you know what you want. That way you have your treatment and time set. Lesson learned for me. The treatment I wanted was completely sold on my last cruise.
  7. I’ve sailed on her three times and I’ll be sailing her again over Christmas. We love the ship size. The rooms are outdated but clean. The balcony’s are a bit rusty and solid so you don’t get to see out when sitting. The staff have always been wonderful, especially the dining room staff. We like the helipad for sail always. It’s a quiet ship and doesn’t have the new flashy and kid driven activities, which we prefer. I just wish the cruise line would seriously consider revamping the staterooms. I think it would make all the difference. Editing to add I booked our 8 night Christmas sailing March 22 and I paid $749 pp. Originally booked on Vision but the sailing was changed to Adventure. I booked two connecting balcony cabins. This cruise is a steal and I’ll deal with the outdated rooms!
  8. There is at lease one European voltage plug near the dressing mirror/table. I’ve used my (US) Dyson airwrap with a European adapter on ovation.
  9. I actually thought the Blue Lagoon was fun. It wasn’t an hour boat ride, so that a bit of an exaggeration. I’m sorry you got the Flu, but that’s no the cruise lines’s fault. I recall a very bad experience on Liberty several years ago. Everything was just awful. Folks were lined up at guest services for hours with complaints. Many reasons, and each person had their own breaking point, but collectively the guests were not satisfied. Cruising isn’t for everyone, but you’ll be hard pressed to find someone who agrees with you on this board.
  10. I canceled the packages I booked and received my reimbursements last week. We had 4 reservations I booked it on and each one has a $50 credit. $200 for my time is not bad! Plus I printed off my set sail pass showing the KEY icon. I’m using it next Sunday!
  11. That is horrible news. We sail on her in 2 weeks. I would be in jail if my kids acted that way. I don’t tolerate it. I had a healthy dose of fear what my parents would do to me if I misbehaved growing up. I like to think my kids are just afraid of me! I think we need more of that now a days. These kids are off the chain.
  12. Kids 13 and over do not qualify for the promo. It’s full adult rate even on shore excursions.
  13. Looks like Premier Pass is available in the China market. The page doesn’t load when you click it but it exists somewhere. Google has it cached.
  14. I wonder if they will transition us to the KEY instead. My boarding pass still has the icon. I printed it out and fully intend to use it for priority boarding.
  15. YMMV. Overall rule is 18 plus. Children can walk through with parents. Have I seen children with their parents at the slots? Yes. We’re they eventually asked to leave? Yes.
  16. My two cents: It's a clever marketing ploy. One of my clients tested word of mouth social media advertising in lieu of paid advertising and it was extremely successful. It draws attention in a quick manner and brings in more sales. The value proposition it high for the customer but low for Royal. With NCL's top beverage package, you can have a bottle of Veuve per person at dinner each night. Their basic package allows you to have unlimited glasses of Veuve whenever you want. Wholesale, they spend between $22-$30 USD per bottle. Throw in a cheap bottle of wine with dinner, the actual cost to Royal is probably between $55-$65 total for this package. This "flash" sale is likely testing the waters, getting people excited about something shiny and new, and seeing what the take rate is by word of mouth (free) adverting. They are still making money even for two people at this price. Do I think this price will last? Heck no. It's likely going to be a per day price for 2 people once it rolls out. They likely won't roll it out at the higher price until some influencers get the package for "free" and record their experience on YouTube. Heck, they are hoping people jump on this to spread the word how awesome this package is to see more of them at the higher costs. They KEY already sells well. The feedback from folks who have tried the KEY and didn't like it (me), it's because I didn't find the package valuable. I don't care about the activities, I don't carry on anything to drop off, nor do I care about slimed down Chops lunch. I am in my 40's, I like wine, I like traditional cruise stuff, I love priority boarding, and I *need* internet. This package is for my demographic.
  17. Showing sold out on April 2 Odyssey and Dec 22 Adventure The Key was sold out on Odyssey but now available again 🙂
  18. Yes, I booked it on our 8 night Adventure Christmas 2023 cruise.
  19. My Odyssey and Adventure Christmas cruise has it. DH and I in two rooms with a kid each. Holy smokes what a deal.
  20. Odessy April 2. Hibachi is available for lunch on both sea days. I'm seriously considering UDP for my family. The kids love hibachi, but we're not a fan, so thinking lunch may be the compromise. Does anyone know if hibachi lunch includes an up charge with UDP? "What's Included" doesn't distinguish between lunch/dinner. So, I am curious about real experiences. For ships with these venues, Teppanyaki/Izumi Hibachi is included, with a $15 surcharge, and Chef's Table is included, with a $49.99 surcharge. These will be charged once onboard.
  21. I appreciate your comment. I travel a lot for work and make cross country flights often. Sometimes I don’t have cash at all 🫣. I’m either very lucky or my banker doesn’t want to get fired if my card gets declined. I also carry my Amex as a backup. I’ve had my wallet stolen before and lost my cards. I made a call and I had a new card overnighted to me when I was in central Mexico once. Actually pretty impressive because nothing moves fast there and my mouth hit the floor when a driver delivered my card at 10 am the next morning. I was lucky but not disabled because I didn’t have cash. Worst case my banker would wire me some cash and I would pick it up locally (with passport). I wanted to avoid that because it was central Mexico and people get killed for picking up cash there. I learned over the last few years not many places I frequent or services I use want to take cash. All prefer digital banking and I’m happy to accommodate. Mr gram was born at the turn of the century and when we cleaned out her house after she died we found thousands of dollars under the floor boards. She never said a word and we’re actually not sure if she knew about it. Her husband had died 20 years earlier and he may have been the one to hide it. To this day we’re not sure if we got it all, but the house sold and we didn’t have much time to look everywhere. I had a kick giving my kids $100 bills from the 60’s and 70’s and they were so confused why they looked different!
  22. To avoid any further concerns @Ashland I will tag and not quote. I meant no harm, but so you can understand my perspective, I quote so the person knows I am responding to their post. Enjoy your day.
  23. My bank reimburses me for all ATM fees worldwide (and doesn’t charge me foreign transactions fees). I have a travel checking account just for this purpose because I hate carrying cash. I might have $40 on me when I travel.
