  1. Yes, if they’re not willing to pay for a suite you might have to remind them that you have, so you’re going to be taking advantage of everything you’ve paid for. Separation will start quickly, as you’ll be heading off to Luminae for lunch on embarkation day.
  2. I actually think I drink less when there’s an included beverage package. Paying for a package out of pocket presents a challenge to “get my money’s worth” based on whatever price I’ve paid. When it’s rolled into the price I don’t really think about it. It’s freeing.
  3. I just went to check on a reservation of mine that has been showing an incorrect amount of OBC. In my case it was showing $1300 when it should have only been $900. Unfortunately they did deduct $600, so I’ll have to get my TA on it to try to set things right. I will probably wait a while longer to see if it gets fixed. The sailing is over a year out.
  4. Your beverage package carries over to the shore. There’s a buffet offered, or you could return to the ship to eat. When we were there we booked one of the cabanas. It was quite nice, and had a ladder directly down into the water.
  5. I think you’ll love your accessible AquaClass cabin. My husband and I did a B2B in one in 2017. The Blu staff was delightful and accommodating. The first night we were seated at a table that was easy for us to maneuver his power chair to. Every day when we entered the staff would quickly whisk one of the chairs away and seat us. It was a wonderful last cruise experience for him.
  6. I think zitsky was referring to AI (Always Included) and not the A1 AquaClass cabin category.
  7. Oops, that one got away from me. I meant to add that if you would like to insure that you receive in-room fitness amenities and haven’t received an email, call Celebrity or your TA and ask to have the email sent to you. As you can see, there’s a limited supply of each item.
  8. I am sailing AquaClass with my niece next month on Equinox. She received an email from Celebrity asking her to select up to 3 in-room amenities from their list of fitness accessories. It was received about 4-5 weeks out. Here are the choices we were offered. We checked three choices and saw this.
  9. Aquaclass cabins are a bit larger only on the 4 M-Class ships.
  10. You have to remember to make sure you’re comparing apples to apples. Aquaclass quoted prices include gratuities, classic beverage package, and WiFi whereas other categories do not.
  11. That would be a very good review of Aqua class from a health angle. I’d love to read that. I’ve enjoyed Aqua class, and choose it most often. The only times I haven’t sailed Aqua or above were my very first cruise on the Millenium in 2010 (Aquaclass hadn’t rolled out on M class ships yet, but we chose Concierge class for the larger room) and the time we downgraded to a corner aft family veranda on the Infinity when we had an overnight in San Francisco. I have sailed in suites occasionally, but it’s not my first choice. My reasons: Dinners in Blu feel very relaxed. I enjoy the shower experience, the fog-free mirror, and the upgraded amenities in Aqua cabins. Bottle of sparkling wine and little gifties that are in the cabin when we arrive. Lip balm, slippers, spa bag. To be clear, I’m not sure exactly what remains as far as amenities. I believe that the fruit and flowers have been eliminated. As a solo now, I will choose the same category as those I’m traveling with. I can see myself enjoying any cabin on the ship.
  12. At one point yesterday after several login attempts, I got a message that @we recognize you, but your account information is unavailable right now”. It worked for me today.
  13. This was also my experience. I was able to choose the arrival time for everyone in my party because our reservations were linked, then everyone completed the other portions on their own by scanning their own passports etc.
  14. Thank you for this flashback report! I’ll be on Equinox next month - my first Celebrity cruise since 2017. I can’t wait!
  15. This is what Celebrity has to say on the subject.
  16. I’m a fan of the Hawaiian shirt and enjoy seeing them any night in any venue. One person’s opinion, yours may differ. Evening chic can be expressed in a lot of ways. Why is it ok for women to choose a colorful print silk top to wear but men can’t?
  17. it was under Onboard Activities.
  18. The app shows a few more choices that I don’t see on the paper menu.
  19. I wish it would migrate to other ships. I don’t have any current bookings on Silhouettes.
  20. Would this be the special Taj dinner I’ve heard mentioned?
  21. Thanks for posting this. I hadn’t previously noticed a CC discount for Hollywood Hot Glass. I’ll have to spend more time checking out the newer benefits.
  22. As unbelievable as this is going to sound: He called the number he found on the website (“Call to upgrade your package”) a little after 5pm EST on Saturday. After he listened to the phone menu choices and chose Dining and Beverage packages the phone rang twice and an agent answered! Honestly, we were both frozen in shock!
  23. It may have been a mistake, but my son just called to upgrade his drink package and was only charged $9.50 per day (5% Classic CC member discount) plus gratuities. Did they lower the upgrade cost differential back to $10 per day, or did his customer service agent get confused and upgrade based on outdated information?
  24. Every experience is unique. I have only sailed on the Eclipse once. It was in 2013 and our first experience with both an S-class ship and Aqua class. During that cruise I was served the best and worst meals I’ve ever had on a ship. Best: one night we were offered a special dish that the chef had prepared - the best Moussaka ever! Worst: the lobster dish served on formal night. The sauce tasted like nothing but peppercorns. Something had gone terribly wrong. I still prefer sailing Aqua class.
