  1. Okay, here's a  problem with the "lift and shift" program. The Symphony of the Seas itinerary(ports) has changed from this year to 2021.  It's still a 7 day Caribbbean itinerary, RC has changed the ports:( So does this mean we can't use lift and shift for Sept. 2021?

Thank you so much for helping us and answering our questions:)

  2. I just looked at the RC site and did not see this update. Please give me the link so I can share it with my cruisemates for our Sept., 2020 cruise.

To clarify,  can we "lift and switch" our Sept. 12 cruise to Sept. 2011, and get the same cabin category at the same price as long as it is a 7 day Caribbean cruise? Since we aren't at final payment date, wouldn't it be better for us to make our decision before final payment date?

Will new requirements over physical distancing, air quality, wearing masks, etc., will this finally be the end of interior smoking on RCI ships in the casino?  Celebrity does not allow it, Azamara does not have casinos on most ships.  Can't figure out how people would smoke through a mask.

This would be sooo wonderful if they banned smoking from the casino on the ship. My hair and clothes will no longer smell from walking through or playing in the casino:)

  4. We are in the "table for two please" group. When we go on a cruise, my DH and I love spending as much time as we can together. It's fun meeting and talking to people at different venues, but we've had some really bad experiences with table mates that we enjoy "just us" at dinner so much more. As with most things, to each his own.....whatever floats your boat (excuse the pun).🛳️

Probably an unpopular opinion but I hated the entire experience.

I don't think your opinion is unpopular at all.  We did not like Wonderland either....and MANY others agree with us. The ambiance is very pretty and the chocolate dessert is very good, but not worth the price. When you have to go to another place to eat after you leave there, that should tell you something. And the price is soooo not worth your hard earned money.

Cancelled a July 10 cruise under the cruise w/ confidence. Total cost including a $200 non refundable deposit was $2250. Refund was $2,050 back to my CC and a $200 FCC for the deposit amount, as they are waiving the $100pp penalty fee. Unless they change their process, you should get the entire $500 NRD as a FCC.

RC cancelled our May 10 cruise this past Friday, and since I rec'd two different explanations from my TA, we decided to take the full refund. I realize that RC is overwhelmed with all of the cancellations so we may not see a credit on our cc for a while, but when will we receive a confirmation email and our May 10 cruise removed from our cruise planner when we log on to RC? Hopefully someone can answer these two questions:) Thank you and hope everyone stays healthy during this very difficult time in our world.

My brother probably got it from a younger person that passed it to him while he was working.

He just died at the age of 67.   He is the 56th person to die in Washington State.

I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your brother. Your family must be devastated. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Not a chance, the virus is here to stay. Having said that there should be a big decline in the next couple weeks. If the cdc recommendations extended months out our entire economy would collapse. 401k retirements would disolve. It would be a disaster. It seems bad right now but these cdc recommendations in place now will turn this around quickly. Dont fall into the internet forum, media hype. The sky is not falling. Things will improve shortly.

I agree with you totally! We all just need to listen to the CDC guidelines and this will pass!

    Can we please...STOP!
Stop the Blame game. Stop the political snark. Let’s put our energy into pulling together and getting through this crisis by doing whatever WE can, wherever we can....and we all can do SOMETHING even hunkered down in our homes.

What was it President Kennedy said...”Ask not what your country can do for YOU...ask what YOU can do for your country!” Time to dust that attitude off again. Get over ourselves...

Totally agree with you! It's ridiculous! If Trump cured the Covid virus tomorrow, he would be criticized for not curing it earlier.

Please listen to all the government's suggestions right now and this will end sooner rather than later....and then we will all be cruising again:)

Thanks for the explanation of the male blood donor request.  Years ago we were on a cruise and they asked for certified donors, male only.  Not having any medical training, I wondered why male.   I even tried googling it and didn’t find an answer.  Now, after all those years, I understand.  Thanks!

We were also on a cruise when they requested a male blood donor at midnight. I thought it was for religious or cultural reasons. It all makes sense now. Although I did wonder how many people have their blood type card with them. My DH and I are both A negative, so hopefully they would let us give each other blood if needed.
