Wow. You must have either gone on a really long cruise to get $950 OBC or spent a good amount for a cabin. I had to laugh when you said to wait for an expensive fare. That IS my expensive fare. LOL. Normally on Carnival I don’t spend more than $1200 pp cruise rate and that’s pushing it. I think I am just going to get the $228 and be done. Since my cabin is $914 pp, waiting until I spend $1200 pp won’t net me much more than a few more dollars. I don’t think. I have math dislexia (yes, I think it’s a thing) and so I can barely add numbers. Thanks for your post. 🙂

DH and I have booked a 7-day on MG in December. It is a casino deal with $500 OBC. We paid rate of $914 pp before fees. My milestone 25 cruise was a few months ago. Therefore, I can request my Milestone 25 % OBC to be added to my $500 OBC but how much would it be? Is it only based on my fare? Also, how do I go about getting this additional OBC? Lastly, if we don’t spend it all, can I get refunded $$ through guest services or do I need to do the slot machine thing to get $$ back? Thanks for any help.

Water bottles are fine. Prepackaged food like granola bars, etc are fine. Meat and fruit are a no-no. Be kind to these host countries.

I agree with your comment about the announcements of the boarding groups. Why they don’t put them on the TV screens instead of running ads for a ship you’ve already signed up for is ludicrous and it’s frustrating to guests. I’m still mystified why, with this new building, it’s such a cluster. In January, we also had a 10:00 time and when we walked in the doors, we had to sit in the very back row. Couldn’t hear anything. Finally people started shouting the group numbers immediately after the carnival employee did. Does anyone know when or if Plats will be let in that separate room with the nice furniture where the suite guests go? Maybe that’s gone forever?

I still say that they need to have available at late night hours some crunchy spicy Chex mix type little bowls that they pass out at bars when ordering drinks. Or some kind of cereal dispenser. I hate pizza and it’s too heavy at night. I posed this idea to JH on FB and his response was something about it not being a good idea because of germs. Really?! You’d think I was suggesting we all share the same bowl. 🙄
