  1. Doesn’t matter. I’m sticking with my opinion. It is more difficult to hold your temper than to attack someone physically in retaliation to mere words. That’s what separates the men from the boys. 😉
  2. I guess I’m in the minority. IMO, there is no excuse to physically assault another person if that person is just using WORDS. The dealer should have told the drunk to move along and then call security when the drunk started harassing people at the table. Violence is never the answer.
  3. Thanks. This makes more sense. The reason I’m saying that is because even though we are platinum, normally our tags don’t indicate “priority” and we have a suite this time and that’s what they indicate. To be certain we’re not breaking any rules, I will inquire during check in.
  4. I was curious if Suites would be ready prior to 1:30. Can you stay there if the room is ready? If you’re P or D then you can drop off luggage in your cabin, but NOT stay there.
  5. I’ve never heard of this. It has always said “while playing” as far as I know. It’s strange that she received a casino offer and doesn’t gamble.
  6. Thanks but my DH isn’t a fan of cruising. At all. The longest I can shove him in a suitcase is 7-8 days.
  7. All this chatter about MSC made me curious so I jumped over to the MSC website. Not very user-friendly. I was looking for a Caribbean cruise not going to Mexico. But it must sail from a US port. I see nothing. Am I missing something?
  8. I am kinda ticked about the ice cream reduction. Opening the ice cream at 11 a.m. is ridiculous. I literally haul French vanilla Coffeemate cups from home and STILL have to use ice cream to “doctor up” the swill they call “coffee” in the buffet. And I wake up at 5-6 a.m. so it’s not like I show up late and expect fresh coffee. If kids are going to mess with the machines, I doubt it would happen first thing in the morning.
  9. After reading your post, I just checked my luggage tags for our upcoming cruise. Usually our tags say Platinum but since we have a suite this time, they say Priority. Since our bags rarely arrive until close to sail away, I’m curious if our bags will actually show up early this time.
  10. Me too. I usually get luggage after sail away. In fact, I have sailed 6 times this year and my cabin was ready at 1:30 only about 50% of the time. This was incredibly annoying because this meant we didn’t get our S&S cards until around 2-2:30. Which meant we couldn’t get on the Hub because I didn’t know my folio number. One of those times I had GS reissue new cards. Too many cabins and not enough stewards I guess. Hopefully things will return to normal soon.
  11. Is this correct? I thought Suites have always gone BEFORE Diamond and Plat.
  12. At the end of the salad bar, they have 3 different prepared salads. Many times I look at those and think they’re bizarre, mixing strange ingredients together and have tried them anyway. Turns out, they’re delicious.
  13. OP here. Well, it’s my last day on the Sunshine tomorrow and I’ve kept an eye on the sausage gravy situation. It appears that the first day they served it, they must have used curdled milk or maybe put it through a Ninja chopper or something because it’s back to the “normal” so-so gravy. Cold and watery, yet chunks of sausage. All is well. I’ll take it. 🙂
  14. YES!!! That’s what I thought. I had the rock biscuits previously and have been having it on wheat toast since then, which was lots better.
  15. Me too. But this stuff is simply not anything I’ve had in my life. I cannot imagine anyone eating it. Talk about food waste. I cannot believe anyone would put this disgusting slop on the buffet.
  16. I’m on Sunshine. The sausage gravy at the buffet is inedible. This ship is in the south and I can’t believe people would eat this. Flour, milk and sausage. How difficult is that? It tastes like something that came from one of those $4 breakfast buffets in Florida. Shameful. ☹️
  17. I grew up eating at the dinner table every single night. 7 days a week. That’s how my DH raised our family as well. I religiously made a nice meal. When we cruised as a family, I didn’t feel the need to spend 90 minutes in the MDR. Why? These are the same people I saw every night at the dinner table at home. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. I’m trying to get away from these people … 🙂
  18. A 25th anniversary ring. I figured I’d best get it while DH was encouraging me. 🤷‍♀️
  19. In the past, I bought just the value plan which is a little more than the social plan. I was able to text my people as well as send photos. As far as my friends, only some were able to get texts and photos, I’m guessing because they’re not in our phone plan. Basically I was told that Carnival doesn’t support texting in any plan. It’s gravy.
  20. It looks like I posted that on Sept 23. And the upsell was for my Dec 3 cruise on MG. I think the reason I received this upsell was because I was just on the MG on Sept 10 and spent a ridiculous amount in the casino. (Although I think my casino spend was a wash).
  21. I was wondering whether since the Sunshine out of Charleston was moved out a day because of the hurricane, and since because of this, Carnival is giving full refunds for anyone who doesn’t want to go, whether they’ll have many cancellations, which would then be sold for cheap at the last minute. 😁
  22. Yes - The OBC transferred with it. I think priority boarding in the fancy area in PC terminal will be worth it. Thank you for your input.
  23. We are on MG on Dec 3 for 7 days and had a regular balcony deck 11 midship at $914 pp base rate. It came with $500 OBC. I “qualified” 🙄 for an upsell offer to an ocean suite deck 9 in the aft for additional $416 total. I felt a little pressured to grab it … so I did. Was that a bad deal?
