  1. I pack a small bottle of Downy Wrinkle releaser...comes in a spray bottle it helps but doesn't make things perfect...but really we are tourists we are allowed to be a little wrinkly ;)

  2. Thankyou all for your advise. Its really hard when we only have 1 day in Valetta as to what should take priority. Do we do the hop on hop off bus and see around the area, focus on being at the township itself or go to the Blue Grotto which looks gorgeous.

The last thing we want to do is try and see it all and feel rushed as if we have only touched on lots of things rather than focus on one.

Thoughts ?????? Anyone who has been there done that.

Especially who has actually lived there.

I buy the pastizzi here at home frozen, I am sure the fresh ones there are scrumptious. No comparison

Ah lucky you!!!! We live in Canada now and there are no pastizzi shops anywhere around here. I am so jealous :)

I don't know how many hours you have in Malta but I think the issue with the hop on hop off is that the traffic is so congested you would spend lots of time getting from one point to another. The Blue Grotto could easily take a couple of hours if you choose a boat ride, swim and maybe having some lunch or a drink ( there are several little restaurants serving everything from burgers to fresh fish ) Valletta is also a great place to visit...a nice mixture of history, culture, retail and restaurants. Of course this is IMHO...I hope that whatever you decide to do that you enjoy it and have a great day :)

  3. If I could also suggest while you are in Valletta....any number of kiosks all over the city ( and Malta for that matter ) sell a local snacks called Pastizzi. It's a baked filo pastry filled with either ricotta cheese or mushy peas....they are so so so tasty...not to be missed. :)

  4. We lived in Malta ( DH is from there ). You could get a private cab to take you ( traffic is horrible so it will take awhile ) and take a boat excursion, they run all day. Ask the driver to let you have a swim, most of them are pretty easy going. Enjoy...it is my fav place in Malta :)

  5. I always give a thank you card with cash....I also bring a small bottle of maple syrup to give to our cabin attendant. We once sailed on Valentine's day and I had brought several small chocolate hearts and gave them to a few staff we had spoken to....just a little extra...who doesn't love a little surprise?

  6. Hi All,

We are planning a southern Caribbean cruise and are new to Celebrity. Can anyone tell me how the majority of people dress on formal nights? We like to dress up....would we be in the minority to wear a suit and gown? Many thanks.

  7. DH and I are interested in booking our first NCL cruise on the Epic. I have read though that smoke can be a problem due to the location of the casino. Wondering if I could get some opinions here, please. DH is sensitive to smoke so wondering if it is really a problem. Many thanks :)

  8. Hello Miss Vickie,

Do you remember how long the transfer takes from Pointe Seraphine to Ti Kaye?

    Thank you,

    Regina

    Hi Regina,

I was told approximately 30 minutes. The hotel told me that the dive shop operates the transfers.

  9. We are interested in booking a day pass at Ti Kaye. Can anyone who's done it tell me about their experience?

I would like to know what's included, the cost and the times the boat picks you up and brings you back.

    Many thanks.

  10. We have had this exact cabin on Jewel as well as other cabins in the same area (#9576, 9578 (opposite 9078)) on other Radiance class ships, and friends have been in #9076. We have never experienced any noise from the Centrum once our door was shut. As another poster said, this particular band/entertainment must have been extremely LOUD.

Thank you Rala, we're going to stay put then. I looked online last night and there aren't many cabins left, so your post ( and a few others ) is good news. Phew!!!

  11. It shouldn't be that bad for you since you are behind the wall, which blocks most of the noise. Don't think I would change cabins if I were you. If I were in 8586 or 8588, I would consider moving because there is an opening there that allows noise to come through worse.

Thanks for your post Linda. I appreciate it.
