  1. I believe P&O has a few adult only ships.

    Princess are you listening?

Perhaps an adult cruise or 2 during March and April might be a good idea. I would be willing to bet lots of people would book an adult only cruise.

  2. I am looking at the Coral Princess mini suites. Can anyone tell me anything about c504. It looks like it jets out and the balcony has a corner to it. C416, C503 and C417 all look the same as well as the cabins above these on deck 11. Thanks for any insight you might have on these rooms.

  3. Having done both, I prefer the partial transit. The full transit made very few stops on the Pacific side.

Below is a link to our story of a partial transit on the Coral Princess.

We are happy to answer any questions.

I am so glad I came across this post as yesterday DH and I were talking about doing a partial transit because he doesn't like to fly and we winter in FL. Leaving from and returning to FL is perfect for us. Your review was a big help. Thank you for posting it.

  4. This sounds like a case of "everything that could go wrong, did" How awful for the people involved. I know I book a cruise a year in advance, save money to pay for it and anticipate the cruise with a lot of excitement. If all those horrible thing happened to me I would have been devastated.

I hope the poster gets to go on another cruise and I hope this time it is wonderful.

  5. Many people have told me how easy it was to get their dog "certified" on line so that they can take their dog anywhere. Most times these dogs have no training. Sometimes, not always, the dog is disruptive. It is wrong but unfortunately these certifications are easy to get.

The people who do this really don't care about anyone except themselves and their dog.

  6. I noticed a lot of cabins were sold far in advance. I goggled the ship and sail date and found a flyer for a dance cruise out of Wisconsin. Sometimes this works as a way to tell if a group is sailing.

  7. I taught high school math for 30 years. I never objected to kids missing my class to vacation. I provided all the work ahead of time. Problems happened when the child could not teach themselves the material. The student could not make up the work until it was taught. When the student returned without the skills he missed, I would need to put in many additional hours after school, on my own time, taking time away from my own children, to provide the student with the lessons he missed. Yes I realize no one thinks teachers have a life beyond the classroom. But really why should my kids suffer because yours went on vacation?

If your child is a good student there isn't a problem. If the child is a poor student it can be very hard to catch up.

  8. Hi,

We are not new to cruising but are looking at taking our first HAL cruise next February. We love to dance, mostly ballroom but will dance to almost anything. Please anyone who has been on HAL tell us about dancing on board. Are there several places to dance? We are looking at Westerdam to the Eastern Caribbean in February.

    Thank you.

  9. My recent cruises have been on Princess but Hubby and I think we might like to go back to Royal Caribbean. We haven't been on Royal in 10 years and we have never been on Navigator.

Can anyone tell me is there a free adults only pool? Do they have traditional dinning? Any dancing for older folks, ballroom or 50's thru 80's tunes.

Also how crowed is this ship? I expect lots of kids on Royal Caribbean but are there any venues for adults only, especially at night?

Any information you can add would be great. We are trying to decide between a 7 day on Emerald Princess or 6 day on Navigator.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

  10. Every ship I have ever been on has a sign posted that clearly states diapered children are not allowed in the pool. Most people, if not all, read the sign and decide that the rule does not apply to them. It is a matter of my child is more important than anyone else on this ship so I will do whatever I want.

But it is the ship's responsibility to enforce the rule. There are pool attendants and it should be their job to ask parents to remove diapered babies from the pool. If the cruise line is not willing to enforce the regulation, they must accept part of the blame.
