  1. Our family just got off the CB on June 21st. It was the kids' first cruise and they enjoyed it so much that they wanted to do it again next year instead of any other vacation. We booked the CB again for a 5-day Caribbean Getaway to Jamaica and Grand Cayman. It's a little shorter than I would have liked, but it worked well with their Spring Break.

    Is it March yet?

We fell in love with Princess (Ruby Princess) our first Princess cruise as well. How did you like the CB? Our next cruise is on the CB in February. Any comments about the ship will be appreciated.

  2. The troubles of filling the ships was also existing on the 3 and 4 day cruises out of Fort Lauderdale.

We booked a short cruise out of Fort Lauderdale last Feb and there were several to choose from. Ruby Princess did only short cruises in Feb. We wanted to book a short cruise Feb 2015 and there are only 2 out of Fort Lauderdale a 4 and a 5 on Caribbean Princess. With only 2 cruises to choose from they might have less trouble filling the ship.

  3. I thought I recently read that shorts are now allowed in the main dining room. Does anyone know if this is true? Also any comments on how the majority of older women (grandmas) were dressed for dinner would be a great help. We just returned from a Princess cruise which was quite formal and I wore a dress every night. Would capris and a nice blouse be ok on a Disney cruise? We are sailing June 1st. Thanks for your help.

  4. We were on the Ruby for five days in February and had a wonderful cruise. It was our first on Princess. We wanted to book another in February 2015. There is only one 5 day offered in February of next year. It looks like they are running only a few short cruises next year. I did notice that a lot of cabins are sold already.

  5. On or recent Ruby cruise the chair next to me was saved with a towel for well over an hour. My husband came to join me and sat in the chair. A woman 2 chairs away said you can't sit there. It is saved When I pointed out to her that it had been empty for over an hour she got quite nasty and said that the towel meant it was saved. When I said I thought you could not save chairs her reply was everyone does it. A towel on a chair means you can't sit there. She wasn't very nice and so we left. I wish the pool attendant would do their job and not make passengers confront chair hogs.

  6. I just returned from the Ruby. Although I was able to put cash into a slot machine when I won I could not cash out without a sea pass card. The winnings went into the "cruise bank" I could use the bank to continue playing on another machine or go to the cashier with my sea pass card and cash out. Hope this answers your question.
  7. Thanks for the review. We are going on our first Princess cruise on Feb. 24 on the Ruby so I was excited to read all your comments about the ship. We can't wait. Can you tell me a little about the demographics. Were the a lot of seniors (we are seniors) or families with children? (love kids miss my grandchildren)

    Hope your friend recovers quickly.

  8. I.m guessing the young man did not get drunk in the teen center but drank somewhere else on the ship and then tried to enter the teen center. The staff asked him to leave. The staff is only responsible for what happens in the teen center. The parents are responsible for their child's behavior everywhere else. Why would it be the teen center staffs responsibility to walk the child to his cabin? Finding no parent there is it then their responsibility to stay with him until someone shows up?

  9. I am so excited to find this thread. DH and I are widowed, 60+ and recently married. We wanted to do something either of us had never done so we took a cruise and are hooked. We go on cruise #4 in Feb our first on Celebrity's Constellation. The first 3 were Royal Caribbean. Anyone out there who has been on this ship. Would love to hear about her.
