  1. Contact the Ocean Players Club at https://oceanplayersclub.com/contact/comp/ Click on Verify Offer and ask what you want. In the past they've been pretty quick to respond. As others on here have said, save a copy of your offer. Also print it off to show casino cashier if there's any question about it.
  2. On the Breeze in February we told our room steward we liked to always have ice. He would fill the bucket in the morning when he cleaned and also put a bucket in the refrigerator. That one would melt a little. I wish Carnival would use insulated ice buckets so the ice would last longer.
  3. Close the HUB app when you go to bed, otherwise you might get a notification at 5 a.m. to let you know about the Lightning Art Auction at 1 that afternoon! Happened to me last month on the Dream.
  4. Every cruise I've ever been on they asked you to be out of your cabin by 8:30. Last month we were in the Lido eating breakfast about 6:45 and they started calling numbers to get off if you were taking your luggage with you! We finished breakfast, went to the cabin and got our luggage and were off the ship by 7:20, no line at all in front of us, an all-time record for us. The ship did get in early, so that helped. Being Platinum we were supposed to be in one of the dining rooms by 7 if we had our luggage, then they would lead us off the ship which would usually be around 8. Bypassed that. I've seen on here where people say they get out of their cabin by 8:30, take their luggage with them and go to the Lido to have breakfast and drink coffee until all numbers have been called, then get off the ship. I don't know why we don't do that as we drive home so most of the time we're in no hurry to get off the ship.
  5. Email address is guestcare@carnival.com - I'm not sure if you'll get a response in a month, though.
  6. You have to do both. Also, on the second cruise, you have to do the muster drill again.
  7. On the Dream last month I got a HUB alert at 5 a.m. to tell me not to miss the Lightning Art Auction at 1 p.m.!!! When I went to Guest Services later the snotty man at the desk told me to give him my phone, he messed around with it than said he didn't see any proof of that happening! After basically calling me a liar he turned his back on me and walked off. This was just one of many "unCarnival" things that happened on that cruise. Will never cruise on Dream again, may not ever cruise again - and this was my 25th cruise!
  8. Went there end of April - what a beautiful beach and water! - so found out first-hand about the shops. Closest to where you get off the water shuttle are the shops where you can buy things with your Sail and Sign card. Got a t-shirt there. Past that are the independent shops where you pay cash or credit card. Found a shirt I liked better there at about half what I paid at the first shop. Thought I'd try to return the first t-shirt - no problem. They took it back, they credited my account. Really enjoyed my experience at Half Moon Cay.
  9. Don't know if this will be particularly exciting for a 7 year old, but we enjoyed the tram ride around the island. From the description it sounds pretty dull, but friends there went on it and enjoyed it so we took it. It goes all the way down to the corrals with the horses and Ted the Donkey. The guide points out all the interesting sites. A stop is made at the lagoon where they have the stingrays and some starfish. Kind of pricey at $30 each but we liked it.
  10. Email from Carnival this morning stating that due to "Beach Fest" being held in Galveston this weekend, plus road construction, I should allow extra time to get to the terminal Saturday morning. Can someone from Galveston or has visited there recently, tell me where road construction is being done near the terminal?
  11. If you buy something from one of the shops on Half Moon Cay, do you pay cash or credit card, or is it charged to your Sign and Sail card?
