  1. Smaller ships are not as profitable as te larger ships, so I doubt you'll see anything that small from Carnival for a long time, if ever. The ports that need the smaller ships need Carnival more than Carnival needs them.
  2. I actually won sports trivia on Panorama with those questions. Missed MLB HOF and my team got the NFL one because my friend was a fan of the player, but I don't remember who it was.
  3. No, or there wouldn't be any platinum perk for boarding as everyone would bring their "friends".
  4. I see both sides of this. If you leave a TBA, its easy to add a name to it, however if you end up going solo, wouldn't you lose that fare?
  5. Weird, I've never had an issue doing check-in for the 2nd cabin.
  6. Jijis is $15/pp. I love the Peppered Beef there. Sadly they changed the lunch options and it is no longer like the Mongolian Wok and now has a menu of set entrees.
  7. Dang, it went up. It was only $3 on Panorama in Jan.
  8. You probably just missed them because my 2nd cruise was in Dec 2012 and I purchased one. I know I was able to purchase 1 in 2015 while on Miracle, but that was the last time.
  9. You can use OBC to purchase it before your cruise at a cheaper rate, so not sure why you want to wait until you're onboard.
  10. In the amount of time, it took to post this, you likely lost the offer as they go out to many people at the same time and whoever gets it first gets it.
  11. No, likely what happened is the prices have gone up since you booked and you have to pay the going rate for the new cabin. Not when it comes to upgrades.
  12. Miracle is an amazing ship. Not as new and fancy as the new ones, but it almost has me considering another cruise out of Galveston. Not likely, but considering.
  13. Since it takes so long to get to those private islands, what do you suggest they do?
  14. That may be, maybe there is some truth to it. I know a lot has been cut since I started cruising 13 years ago. More and more cuts. By the time I add the specialty dining onboard and the drinks, I agree with you.
  15. Carnival has cut prices to bring in new cruisers that don't know what they are missing while driving loyal customers away.
  16. Normally Carnival would use Vancouver as a port to start cruises for when repositioning ships from Alaska to other ports so they could get around the PVSA of 1886. Now they just reposition the ship back to Australia instead of back to the US ports.
  17. Sometime they extend them, but it doesn't show a new expiration date. If you can book with it, go for it.
  18. I was on the Jan 14-21 cruise and it had several nights that it was too cold to enjoy the movie on deck. On the 19th, just after leaving cabo heading to Long beach, we left the movie early and went to the cabin and the TV said it was 46 degrees outside. Cabo was also a little on the cool side. High was only supposed to be 68 the day we were there.
  19. I know the first night is Strawberry Bisque. Not sure on the other ones as I am not a fan of the peach and mango. Didn't see cherry, but I did use to love that one as well.
  20. Its ben BOGO for as long as I can remember. That being said, I hope they leave it as the $25 free play.
  21. We used it a lot on the buffet for my daughter, however on debarkation day, there wasn't anyone there on our last 2 cruises.
  22. Firenze is currently sailing in Brazil so the So America route seems likely.
  23. Firenze was listed as cruising from Long Beach, so Europe is definitely out. That being said, John Heald keeps saying it will be legendary, so I think that is a hint that it will be Legend cruising over there.
