Just how many of us are there, anyway?
cruisingxpert replied to GregoryPaul's topic in Oceania Cruises
Maybe 1447 if every cabin that had a sofa bed was occupied? -
The prices did change on Jan 1st but they also posted this around the same time and I know several people who took advantage of it. This is what you would have seen up to a few days ago Posted Jan 6 After receiving different answers from Oceania reps, my TA contacted her Oceania Business Development Manager and they confirmed what you were told - $30 pp pd before you board to upgrade and $40 if you do it on the ship. Here's their reply: Here is the accurate information reflecting the price changes with the drinks package Advance Purchase (Prior to Sailing) $29.95 per guest, per day – House Select $59.95 per guest, per day – Prestige Select Onboard Purchase $39.95 per guest, per day – House Select $69.95 per guest, per day – Prestige Select That was on the site and just disappeared in the past few days

I agree. I think they have made some changes to that room on the new ship The drawings on cruisedeckplans show a l shaped sofa bed and no coffee table. I took my daughter with me on a cruise in anOceania suite. I ordered the cot for that media room because the king bed can't be separated(unless it's for Jacques Pepin and his daughter) and I was hoping to have the bed to myself. Didn't work too well. The bed was wedged between the sofa and the desk and to get onto the bed you had to fling yourself forward like you were an acrobat. Picture Patrick Swayze as the bed and Jennifer Gray doing that leap into his arms. Needless to say it only happened for 1 night.

Sirena A1 Aft Balcony Veranda or a PH?
cruisingxpert replied to Blockschip's topic in Oceania Cruises
Depends how much being able to sit and watch the Wake means to you. The penthouse cabin layouts on the small ships are much nicer than balcony or concierge cabins but that view is special. 6090 and 6093 which are A2 have slightly deeper balconies than the aft A1s on Deck 7 and 8. -
Riviera New Bar Drinks, Menus and Prices

The purchase before boarding Offer has disappeared. -
I was checking the prestige beverage package a few weeks ago and saw that if I purchase it before boarding it would be $59.95 a day. Just went to my account today and it is $69.95 a day with no mention of the $59.95. I also searched on the site under Beverages packages and nada about the buy before boarding offer.

I guess that is what happened to us in Dec. I thought maybe it had to do with some construction. Thanks for the info.

That's probably why they call you EasyGoingGuy😁 What A Market is on Riviera and said it 30 mins.

Love the pics and very happy that you are doing Live. Nice break from our cold and mostly sunless weather up here in Canada

Oceana first timer with basic question
cruisingxpert replied to SSFrance69's topic in Oceania Cruises
Here is an example of why Oceania does allow you to bring heated rollers on board- which I have done on 20 cruises with no issues. I shipped my bag to my cruise last year. I got an email that it had arrived at the ship. When I boarded, I waited for my bag to arrive in my cabin. As we were getting close to leaving, I started getting worried and asking where it was. Finally someone said it was in the receiving area(aka naughty room). I went down to that area and the person there thought I might have a heating blanket in my luggage- strangely, they hadn't opened it to check. The person who xrayed it had slapped a sticker saying heating blanket. I said it was my heating rollers and opened the bag to show them and they said no problem and gave me the bag with my rollers. -
Riviera New Bar Drinks, Menus and Prices
cruisingxpert replied to Robjame's topic in Oceania Cruises
Thank you. It's loyalty obc and some O credit because they changed departure port. Looking at the new price list and thinking maybe I will drink enough to justify it.😃 Only did it once before and didn't drink enough to justify the cost. -

I'm booked Cruise Only. If I go online and pre purchase the Premium Package, will they use my on board credit to pay for it? -
St. Vincent shore excursion - Bequia By Sailing Catamaran
cruisingxpert replied to SSFrance69's topic in Oceania Cruises
Did this ship excursion in December 2022. So much interest that O had 2 catamarans. We had 62 people on our catamaran that would probably have been okay with 35-40 people. I think they counted on people sitting on the netted part up front- think crochet nets. Needless to say, very few tried it out. Access to bathroom was a vertical ladder. I should have taken a picture- unbelievable. Princess Margaret Beach was okay with some shade. They had the beach bbq there and ran out of fish, coleslaw, vegetables, then ran out of cutlery and plates. We had a stop in Port Elizabeth which didn't have much charm. I looked for a private excursion but couldn't find any. -
For this view, I have no problem with occasional vibration.

What to do with the complimentary Oceania bottle of wine?
cruisingxpert replied to jonthomas's topic in Oceania Cruises
If any of you are on my May 20th Vista cruise you can give it to me.😊 The name Cyclo is a bit off- putting but it is drinkable. -
What are your favorite pre-cruise requests?
cruisingxpert replied to Dougolly's topic in Oceania Cruises
And I'm a fan of Midsomer Murders. I'll bring you A&W if I ever get to Midsomer😊 -
What are your favorite pre-cruise requests?
cruisingxpert replied to Dougolly's topic in Oceania Cruises
I order A&W root beer on almost every cruise and except for one time, I have always received it. You do need to order it because it is not something they carry regularly. -
There is no gratuity on top of the $300 charge. You can leave a tip at your discretion. Besides Polo and Toscana you can choose between these 2 menus. We had the Degustation menu which was lovely. I did ask and was allowed to drop the dessert and replace it with the Polo Quintet dessert Privee Menus.pdf

Kotor Diy excursions
cruisingxpert replied to cruisefanatic16's topic in Other Mediterranean and Black Sea Ports
Thank you for your review. I just contacted them to book the tour in May when we get to Kotor. -
I was looking at one of the itineraries on that list and it appears the pricing listed includes Air and Olife I wonder if you have to take that to get the "up to 800 SBC" or can you get it by taking the "cruise only fare"?

The fact that the cruises that were canceled because of the Marina refit( Oct 11 to Nov13) are all back on the site with availability in almost every category would suggest that they got the right information.
