Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We have traveled with Oceania a number of times now and the food is FANTASTIC And guess what, men almost always wear a sport jacket to dinner and the ladies are dressed impeccably.
  2. I’m 65 so this is going back, but they would make a real caesar salad tableside It was in a wooden bowl with Dijon mustard and anchovies. Also baked Alaska. I guess with the flames it is a no no today, but it was a nice end to a dining experience. The maitre’d used to cut the protein (meat) dishes served to our daughters. The food in the main dining room was good. Now we don’t set foot in there. Times …they are a’ changing.
  3. At the Coco Beach Club there is a fee for each person. This is the upper scale beach area. Yes there are cabanas with a per day fee. But this includes 8 people !! I think the per person fee is @ $223 per day. The children 3 and under for you would be free. Our “beach cabana” is $1999 for the day and an over water cabana would be $3499. A lot of money for either, but if you divide it amongst paying persons and getting 8 free passes if you book a cabana it’s not so bad. Yes you can ASK your concierge aboard the ship to get cabanas next to each other. A good tip may insure that. Hope all works out and enjoy the family on your cruise !
  4. Just another lurker. Thanks for all of your contributions. You all sound like such a wonderful group. Looking forward to our family cruise on OAS 9/3/2023
  5. Visit The Atlantis pavilion/hotel. Her daughter will like the lazy river float as well as walking through the gigantic aquarium ! She can get her hair braided on the beach. and you can gamble in their casino enjoy !
  6. Hope not sounding redundant, but IMO I think Oceania is an excellent choice. We too used others RCCL, Celebrity etc when our daughters were children (we are now in our sixties), then went on to Oceania. Bermuda is beautiful , it should still be warm in September. The two ports are nice to have. Only caveat in September is that it is still hurricane season. Yes we have sailed at that time but kept our fingers crossed. Definately try LaReserve dining experience, so special. wishing you safe travels !
  7. Following Looking forward to your opinions on Marina. We are on the cruise after yours. Have been On Oceania a few times and enjoy the atmosphere more than RCI and Celebrity.
