  1. Thanks for insight. However, I watched a you tube video showing same cabin on Scarlet Lady which shows a hammock. Absence of noise from night club etc is much more important to us though
  2. Just found my allocated cabin on App, 14326 A, deck 14 forward. it seems an ok position, with cabins below and above but any comments welcome. I am aware of the only difference between this and regular sea terrace cabins is the bigger bathrooms but as the difference in price between the two was only about £70 each, it seems worth it
  3. Hi, Experienced cruisers with about over 60 under our belts, with a little apprehension, we have booked our first VV cruise out of Barcelona end of September as it was too great a deal to miss. We are young at heart seniors , 74 and 71. We have booked an XL Terrace about 4 days ago When I look at VV website, I can see our booking but not our cabin number. I admit I’m scared we get allocated a noisy cabin over a club or under a noisy deck. My TA said she can possibly help in these circumstances so I’m keen to sort asap. Does anyone knows when I can expect allocation ( or is it already there in the booking confirmation and I am missing it?) Thanks in advance
  4. Just off Onward, no Azamazing evening. The was a “Special “ evening with a classical quartet called Paganini. Billed as a comedy, classical act. Didn’t appeal to us.
  5. We were allocated 2.30 pm embarkation. We arrived 1.45 and were aboard in less than 30 mins. Lines were fairly long but moved quickly and were well organised. once dropping luggage, there was a separate line for suites. Cabins were available immediately and luggage arrived very quickly. Azamara handled whole process very well
  6. Onward currently CC Suite 8020 choose again- yes No noise issues, under pool deck but have not heard a thing . Great position loving it ( has a bath but my wife like a bath!)
  7. On Onward just now. Ship is in excellent condition. Our cabin, CC suite 8020 is in great condition, obviously refitted. Steward and butler, faultless. Cruise Director is not De Gray chap as we expected but a Scots guy, Martin ( I think, not exactly sure) . He is ok, not memorable. Enjoying cruise very much.
  8. We are on Onward this Saturday, in a CC suite. Question question, we are in a CC suite and are Discovery level. What is our Wi-Fi allowance? Thanks
  9. We are on Onward this Saturday, in a CC suite. Can anyone on there currently or recently advise the best time to book the restaurants with a view of being able to enjoy whatever entertainment is on. Is there a set time for show / entertainment generally or does it vary each evening? Thanks
  10. Thanks for your reply. However I think family situation is resolved and we both travel
  11. Has anyone ever booked as a couple but ended up travelling solo? If so, how did it work out in terms of booking with Azamara? ( long story but wife may have to withdraw from cruise for family reasons but is urging me to go on my own) Any advice or experiences welcome
  12. We are sailing from Europe. It says they are not required from Europe but on website says all guests
  13. Just checked in for our cruise on Onward. On Azamara website it says vaccinations no longer required on European departures, yet on email confirming online check in completed, it says all guests must be vaccinated and boosted. In our case, as I’m sure in most cases, we are fully vaccinated, but I don’t understand the contradictory advice.
  14. Excuse my ignorance, what is different above the Atlas Bar as opposed to any of bar? Am I reading correctly that all drinks must be paid for? is it purely cocktails on offer?
  15. We are on 11 March sailing. Last week we were invited to bid on an upgrade we we declined as it seemed very expensive. Now, when I click on same link, the invitation has gone
  16. As an aside, having received email offering ( imo, expensive upgrade offers), is there ever a subsequent email offering upgrades at a lower cost if the uptake is low?
  17. We are on Onward March 11. We received an upgrade offer email today. I am staggered at what they are asking. We are in a CC suite currently.
  18. I have bitten the bullet and booked a flight going out the day before the cruise. The downside is it meant going out one one airline and back on a different one. It meant having to pay a ridiculous price for the flights, about 3 time the “normal “ price. However, it gives us comfort and at end of the day, it’s only the kid’s inheritance that’s affected!
  19. As an experienced cruiser, I kinda know the answer to my question. I guess I’m just looking for comfort and reassurance! We have now booked the Onward out of Gran Canaria on 11 March. We would prefer to go out the day before but the flights from Scotland don’t work out. We can fly out on the day with a scheduled arrival time into Gran Canaria at 14.55. The ship is due to depart at 8pm. Do you think that works OK?
  20. It was £800 per cabin, not pp!
  21. We have been away from this forum for a few years for obvious reasons. Long time experienced cruisers. We have sailed Azamara 3 times previously. Last Azamara cruise was 2015. Then, a a previous cruiser, you could register for a paid upgrade. we were offered an upgrade from a balcony to owners suite on our Greek islands cruise for £800 which we jumped at and had the most fantastic experience. Am I reading the forum correctly that it doesn’t work that way anymore?
