  1. With all the chatter from folk on here of ' we love Iona' and 'we hate Iona', there was only one thing for it and we've booked early 2023 to find out for ourselves🙃 Can't wait....and fully expect to be in the 'love it' category.
  2. Sorry you missed out on Sindu, but please post more pictures of your next meal at the Beach House. You got us looking at the menu, ready for our next cruise 😋
  3. I am in disbelief with how some on here would want to share their delight about how they evade watching the safety videos. They will be the first to complain if we all have to go back to the 'old way' .
  4. We had the same worries, but all was fine for us. I reckon you should be ok.🤞 They are great balconies. The quarantine section does not impact in any way apart from having to walk down the starboard corridor, which is no big deal. Have a lovely cruise.
  5. The buffet bug bear has to be the plonked cardigan or bag, and noone at the table......
  6. If the Captain says put your mask on, then you put it on. The Captain's word is the last word, for everything, simple.
  7. We were in D710 in late August. The quarantine started after D702 , going forward on the port side. Starboard side was open. Therefore, the suites at the back appeared to be unaffected, for our sailing anyway! Hope this helps.
  8. We have sailed in cabin D702 on Enchanted and D 710 on Sky, both this summer. The balconies are half covered, large, and we would book again in a heartbeat. We didn't notice any vibrations and the area was quiet. Quarantine cabins were on the port side and closed off after D702. The starboard side was open.
  9. Just to endorse what everyone else is saying..... We were on Enchanted D702 in June and loved the large balcony, and the good price it was offered at. On Sky in a few weeks D710, and really looking forward to that too.
  10. We definitely prefer aft to forward. Mid aft often comes up well with pricing too. We were blessed with good weather and seas on this particular voyage, so felt very little movement.
  11. Not expected, but nice if you want to offer. They may or may not accept your tip. From the car drop off point you leave your luggage at the kerbside designated area and watch your cases disappear on the conveyor belt, next to be seen outside your cabin a few hours later. Very slick, very simple.
  12. Nice to feel needed and wanted but..... Definitely the younger people are very useful. Different generation, comes a different skillset! Sorting out WiFi ; getting the best mobile phone deals; knowing everything there is to know about cars; one in financial services ;one just qualified as an electrician; one with a plumbing/gas apprenticeship. Couldn't do without my younger people😀
  13. Same happened to us in the UK for cruises in April and June. Both times took paper copies to the port for check-in. No problem at all.
  14. Please, please, please, send us some rain down south. Dangerously dry 🔥 Southern Water temporary use ban coming in next week as water supplies are so low.
  15. Are these tests classes as observed/ supervised? Looking to order up for Princess who request this. Have a great cruise!
  16. We were also on Enchanted last week and had a brilliant time. Hearsay said we were sailing around 70% capacity?? We had stunning weather for our Norway/Denmark cruise so the top decks were in use, which does make a big difference to any ship. No real problems with the internet, sometimes a little slow but fine for day to day email/ internet searches/ what's app etc. We didn't stream any films. Great Cruise Director, Matt - very proactive and funny (in our opinion) Gigi's pizzeria was good, and unlike our experience on Sky it was easy to get a table. Staff are lovely and working very hard. We didn't use the app for ordering drinks, coffees etc. Found it nicer to either go to the bar or stop a passing waiter. Hope this helps.
