I’ve done this cruise a couple of times when Maui was included. Celebrity could still add Maui if they went to Kahului which other lines are doing. Also I wish Celebrity would add Kauai to their schedule. It’s so beautiful there.
I’ve done land vacations all over Hawaii so that is my first choice but I would still take the cruise you mentioned and certainly add on some extra nights.
I don’t believe they have a ship that can safely make the turn into the harbour on Kauai.

If it’s a nice way to get there and if you’ll spend some extra time there at the end then sure. Don’t think I’d sign up for that cruise though. Big island isn’t my favourite. I’d do a land trip.

We’re going to Moorea, Tahiti and Raiatea on Solstice’s October 2025 Transpacific.
-
I’ve read a few people taking them on world cruises so I don’t see why not.

Wavelength out of PD were amazing.

Transatlantics are usually a decent “value”

Wow, so that’s her answer? Just remove anything decent and serve swill? Not the sharpest tool in the shed is she?

So, this is what I found out when researching this for our trip. Yes, aussies have it built in to their fare but the passengers from NA do not and will be charged as normal. But here’s the kicker…the daily tips we are charged do not go to the staff on your cruise. The Aussie based staff do not participate in that tip pool. It’s added to the general pool for the rest of the fleet.

Actually no, once a reservation is set to NRD it can't be changed to refundable. I just changed a sail date recently and they didn't collect the $100 pp at the time of change. They just added a line item to each passenger on the new invoice.
This is exactly what just happened to us.

The best I've had is at the bar at Pulitzer hotel in Amsterdam. Tried it with Campari but not as good.
I loved that hotel. Such a great bar.

Also, they wouldn't be able to fill a big ship for a WC. The Coral has been doing WC's as well from Sydney. Maybe one year, they will decide to swap them and N.A. might get the Coral for the FLL/LAX WC's.
Why? Crown has taken over from Coral doing the Aussie WC. Zuiderdam does the HAL WC.

A product of Canadian socialism?
It’s Ontario, not all of Canada. Each Province sets its own liquor laws.

Booked an IC on the Edge, same month and year, southbound Transpacific, 19-nights.
Amazing good pricing.
We were very pleased with the price and the itinerary is great. Haven’t seen 3 New Zealand stops on the TP before.

What ship? Which year?
In my signature. New release Solstice, Oct 2025

Island Princess is 7 years older than Equinox. Not a fan now they butchered her but the cruises we had on her were fine. Friends did the world cruise on her this year and definitely warned us off taking that ship. Too many maintenance issues.
interesting comment on the storage. Solstice, Equinox’s sister, is our favourite ship. We loved the storage above the bed. Thought it was genius.
I sadly think Equinox has been the experiment to see how low they can lower the bar on menus recently. Hope they come to their senses soon.- 1

It’s not completely bleak. I booked a Sky Suite this week, 19 day transpacific for under $10k for 2.

Sounds like they’re set. For Gold Coast we’ve stayed at Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort twice and loved it.

If you don't mind, which ship and sail date, please. 😊
Don’t mind at all. Solstice. Honolulu to Sydney. October 2, 2025.

I want to thank you guys for complaining loud and clear. Someone is listening. We were able to book a new release Sky Suite on a 19 day TransPacific for $450 more pp than a balcony + classic drinks. We’re very happy! First time in a suite on Celebrity.

I just love Port Douglas. We’ve done three land trips there. Great shirts!
-
Does anyone have an approx idea of when these itineraries be released? Tx
-
Celebrity would always be our first choice. But if X doesn’t offer the itinerary, Princess is a decent backup. Just can’t stand the smoking in the casino.

Not August! Never August. Mid to late September or late May are usually perfect.

Regarding Indonesia, In the paper work we received from Princess they said “A visa will be issued upon the ship's arrival and therefore you are not required to obtain one in advance of vour cruise; a visa fee will be applied to your stateroom account.”
is that not to be trusted? Or is it just cheaper to do it yourself?
Hawaii cruise still worth doing?

We usually go for three weeks to a month every year. Trust me, it doesn’t get old. It probably has the most to do of any of the islands combined. You just need to get out of Waikiki which most people don’t do.
