Smokers are more valuable in the casino. They need the smokers in there. They drink more and gamble more and stay longer than the tea-totaller non smokers do. 😁

This hideous stern section .. it reminds me of someone with an underbite showing their teeth. Uglyyyy. Also the Viking Crown Lounge on the Vision series looks like an afterthought .. like they just plopped it up there. That all being said, i loved the pool deck on the Enchantment with the groovy bridge things and the bar set up against the windows up there. Nice. Just kinda ugly ship externally, IMO.

How's the OP going to find the steward for another person's cabin? Are you suggesting that the OP hang around the other hallways in hopes that the steward comes along?
Absolutely not 10 seconds of work.
Exactly .. how creepy and stalkerish is that?! And how suspicious looking too.

Cabins stewards choice. Not yours.
And I’m definitely not coming around to your silly examples because that aren’t close to realistic. As if the steward couldn’t look in the bag before doing it (and more than likely would regardless).
Nope. No planting "goodie bags" in someone else's room. Terrible idea. And of course they were realistic examples.. you don't know what someone could be thinking .. or plotting. And what if the bag the OP was trying to get the poor steward to stick in those other people's cabins were sealed? Steward couldn't see what's in there.

Seriously?
Well then that person would be a jerk for doing something so offensive and shouldn’t ask anyone to help them.
Im assuming this is a thoughtful gift from a friend. You are acting like attendants can’t judge a situation and are incapable of saying no. This is most certainly not true. The attendants are normally very smart and savvy. They meet thousands of people and I’m sure can judge situations better than most.
Most service companies want employees to go out of their way to help guests. Many have programs that reward “heroes” who go above and beyond for customers. Like a big airline employee taking to her own home home an elderly woman who missed her connecting flight and bringing her back in the morning. And you are worried about a hypothetical of someone asking for an attendant to put a few gift bags in her friends room to surprise them. I sure hope Royal doesn’t become so sterile that this is considered silly or improper. Geez. My family has hid surprises in others cabins (with the help of the attendant) for decades. Amazingly there were no issues associated with such silly behavior.
See? Now you understand. No cabin steward should take the chance. I'm glad you're coming around.
And i wonder if RC has a policy for cabin attendants not planting things in their guest's cabins by anyone other than items purchased by RC itself.

You don’t ask your own room attendant. You ask their room attendant to simply lay it on their bed and hand them a
tip. Job done in 10 seconds. Their room attendant will be more than happy to get a tip for 10 seconds of work. This is in no way a burden.
The OP can do as they please. Either way, the stewards are not going to mind the extra few seconds of work for a nice tip. I’d bet they would love to earn earn an easy tip like they 20 times a day.
And ... how do we know what these "goodies" are? What if they're naughty adult type goodies ... and the "friends" in those other cabins, not knowing who they're from, get offended and report the cabin attendant for putting them there!
Bad idea. No goodies. OP can deliver themselves. This is silly.

Sure. Or they could simply ask their friends room attendant(s) to put it on their beds.
What is the auto tip for the attendant per day person. 2.50-4 bucks range. You think they aren’t more than happy to get an extra $10 for less than a minute of work? I’ll bet a large sum of money that if asked on an anonymous survey, every single attendant that answered would gladly take the opportunity to earn that extra tip. You all are acting like this is
some big ask. You are talking about laying a gift bag on the bed after you make it.
How would the OP know who the room attendants for these other people would be ... they didn't even know several of their cabins were. And i don't think room attendants would (or should) want to accept something from a stranger and put it in one of their guest's cabins anyway. How does the attendant know who's travelling with who?
No. Bad idea.

I’m not the op. But whatever. People ask staff to do extra stuff all the time. And this is a task that would take about 2 extra seconds.
And the OP said they expected these goodie bags to be delivered to "6 different cabins, 4 of the cabins are in a row (the other 2 cabins, I am not sure where they’re located). Detective work too? Not a reasonable expectation to put on your cabin attendant .. especially since due to lower than usual staffing, they've likely got extra work already. Silly idea. The OP can deliver the goodie bags themselves.

When they see you with them and know they are your friends. Not really. Geez this is getting blown up into a security issue and a significant burden on the attendants. SMH.
Yes .. I'm glad you agree.

This could also be seen as a little suspicious .. could look like you're trying to plant something in another person's cabin. If I were a cabin steward, i wouldn't do it.

I just think the classic raked cruise ship bow is 100% prettier than this new trend bow. It makes the ships look like a barge to me.

Isnt that new celebrity ship, the one with what looks like a freight elevator hanging off the side an ugly looking ship . RC has much prettier designs .
Yep -- that's the Edge ... so ugly ..the bow .. the "freight elevator" (LOL .. thats all im gonna see now is a freight elevator) .. and the fact that they outlined that silly thing in bright orange .. hideous.

I only sail on pretty ships (externally) 🤭 ... so that lets Oasis Class (hideous, overgrown looking tubs) and Quantum Class (just clunky and ungainly looking, especially the stern)... also not a fan of Vision class (also an ugly stern section and the weirdly placed Viking Crown lounge).. though I have been on Enchantment once and that was a decent cruise.
The rest in the RC fleet (IMO) are very pretty .. love the Freedom, Vision and Radiance classes and I've been on all 3. Also loved the Sovereign Class . . such an elegant, clean design.
When I'm in port looking over at "our" ship, I like being proud of the one I'm going back to. I know I'm gonna get flamed .. so .. fire away! Lol
Correction to above: i meant i love the Freedom, Voyager and Radiance classes.

I actually care very much about the look of the ship, too. I posted something about that a long time ago and the flames followed. I think RCI's V/F class ships are about the best of the new breed of ship. I also can't stand ships with hideous paint jobs. Yes NCL and Aida, I'm talking to you.
Agree 100%. Those giant hideous lips and eyes on the AIDA ships .. so tacky. Norwegian Epic as well .. thats horrible. I especially hate that new bow design on some of these brand new ones (Celebrity Edge, Norwegian Prima and the Virgin ships). They don't even look like ships any more.

RC has the most stupid names for their ships.
Time to start rehashing the old one's again like HAL does.
Even Carnival is bring old names back...
I agree ... the silly "Of The Seas" is getting boring now and in many cases, the name makes no sense anyway .. like what does "Oasis of the Seas" even mean?
Would be great to see a new Nordic Prince or Song of Norway!

Eleven thousand seven hundred people on one ship. No, thank you. Did the world ever really need a ship that big ?

Not complaining, but Does anyone know if Jade sailed with a partial load of passengers? Restaurant was empty last night at 8:00. Breakfast crowd was also absent this morning. Eating breakfast in the Sun on the stern of the ship at 8:30 with a 10 AM arrival time and empty seats outnumber filled ones by a large margin.
I on a ghost cruise? Has everyone need isolated?
OMG i would love this.

This is SO extremely dumb ... it's only gonna confuse people. ""Costa by Carnival" ... seriously ? I give this one season.

Banning smoking in casinos anytime soon seems unlikely
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
To repeat the OP's first fact:
From Michael Bayley:
"Every, I would say every couple of years, we do test this and we take one or two or three ships and we ban smoking in the casino. And the result is less people go in the casino and that's the reality of it," he explained.
😁
