Techspeak follows... please feel free to ignore  🙂

LOL! My background is as a database specialist, both as a programmer and DBA... I agree... stupid simple... and it probably wouldn't even require an additional DB query as the package would likely already have been read as part of building the customer object.

    Just lazy programming IMO.

took less than 5 minutes for me to create the punch cards needed for this ...🦄

Most of our inaugural sailings, the cruise lines have taken their MOST experienced crew members throughout different departments.  So, you should have great service.

Because they are new ships, there will be a learning curve due to the huge differences in the ship layout, etc.

Some ships sail pre inaugural with corporate employees, press, etc and practice on them first.  IDk if this will happen with the Sun.

they can bring over the 'rock stars' ... but until P decides to 'crew up' in the bars and prep areas - drink service is going to be slow in some areas -

1-2 bartenders in Vines and service is amazing

1-2 bartenders in Crooners - "Service is so terrible, I'm never sailing P again!!"

Yikes, I had the same injury a few years back and cannot imagine being on a ship 5 days later!  Just maneuvering the splint would be near impossible!

We obviously cancelled ... Good news, I go to the surgeon on Thurs for my 8 week follow-up. Currently on 'as tolerated' weight bearing, with the boot, and a walker. Hope x-rays show I can have full weight bearing, and wean off the boot gradually.

Not to mention you can hardly hear them because of all the household loud conversations going on or kids running around screaming. Unbelievable and so frustrating.

oh, like the service I got when trying to contact my surgeon to see about weight-bearing? very good English, got the job done - but clearly working where kids were heard in the background.  Home?, prolly

I discovered that a medical incident that happen when I was out of the United States was 100% covered by my medical insurance company. I still purchase PVP.  8% is worth the peace of mind.

same with me when I fell on REGAL - AON also picked up the deductibles from my aftercare from the Emergency Department and my Cardiologist.

Waiting to see when I file a current claim with AON as to what they will cover besides my cruise fare when I fell and broke a couple of bones near my ankle 5 days before a Halloween cruise a couple of months ago - wondering about Emergency Department copay, hospital stay co-pay, RX co-pay, surgeon co-pay, etc , medical equipment advised for home health care, etc ... all paid out of pocket so far.

Surely they have to have your permission to do that and if you don't give permission then you should get a refund.

It baffles me why they cannot just process the refund back onto your credit card (assuming that you registered one)

follow the money - merchant fees for the cc refund

I'm not too keen on cruising' the Caribbean but, the sphere class is a draw to us and we will acquiesce to the sun princess's beckoning call.

Fly across the pond (first class, of course) ... stay a few days in a 5 star boutique dwelling, then a cruise on the Sun P (Sky suite?) around the Med ... then take the ship back across the Pond 🤑

I stand corrected. He did karaoke tonight…

Thanks - nothing wrong with karaoke - just not the right venue in Crooners, sorry.

On our cruise with him - he had a 'lady/groupie' that set right up front with him, and she had her

own songbook!' - we walked out one time, and didn't go in a couple of other times when that was going on.  One night between sets, we went in for a minute, and when another entertainer showed up, she grabbed her songbook, asked where was Cory, and left.
