  1. I was wondering about this, but how did you find out numbers? Are these numbers for Land Tours coming aboard cruise ships? Are they testing positive AFTER the ship sets sail? More please.
  2. Good Luck. I was advised that it would take a month. Shocked that I was credited within a week.
  3. And the mystery continues.
  4. Well….wouldn’t you know it, my submission on Monday showed up today. Of course, it did not show up on my cruise for early next year. Will have to re-submit.
  5. Princess will run a very expensive “do it on your own” shuttle to Lahaina. I still don’t understand the “no tendering”. I heard the Royal is going to Lahaina. Rent a car in Kahului. There are a few places to visit nearby (not of interest to me). Otherwise, you are stuck with a mall. Do not try to do Hana on your own.
  6. Now this is interesting. I rarely can see Window Suite options. I can pull up Window Suites, but unable to find which ones are available. Hmmmm. I have no clue as on/off ad blocker.
  7. Did you test with a PCR or Rapid Antigen Test? I have the same timeline and am looking at my options. Thanks.
  8. How will they support Princess Premium package with 2 additional dinners per person if they can't keep both Crown Grill and Sabatini's open on the same night? Will they offer you "non-refundable" OBC? Again, selling products that can not be supported.
  9. I "live chatted" today. Agent said that they are processing June 7th today. Considering today is June 30, I guess I will have to wait 3 more weeks to see it on my account. That would make it about a month from sending in to getting the credit.
  10. Please refresh my memory....how far out are you able to choose your arrival time? Thanks...
  11. I have not been on a Royal Class ship and have no intentions of cruising on one either. If you feel this way about a "smaller" ship, the same can be said about the Royal Class ships with MORE passengers and less public spaces than the Caribbean Princess.
  12. I have seen children/young adults during suite breakfasts and first night/cc dining. I have always stopped by their table to share my observations. Parents are surprised that I had taken notice, but not surprised since they all knew how to behave in public. Maybe more passengers should share their compliments with others who are showing their children what is expected in the real world. We need more parents like this.
  13. Gee....$1 to hold a cruise with zero return or one FCD gets you OBC. Hmmmmm
  14. You have to be "joshing". Isn't that what Cruise CRITIC is here for? my bad....
  15. I can't sign on at all. Are the prices the same as before the $1 deposit?
  16. I checked out a couple of roll calls. The Alaska cruises are pretty tame. My guess is that many are blue cc members who don't know about Cruise Critic. Also, the younger clientele. migrate to twitter (of which I am not a member) and other social media platforms. You do still a lot of pages for longer cruises. I, for one, have stopped trying to organize roll calls for 7 day or less cruises. Interesting observation. Thank you.
  17. According to Marine Traffic, the Crown left Hoonah. Not sure if this is a replacement or the port they actually use for Icy Strait Point. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Hoonah,+AK/@58.1115384,-135.463449,13z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x54016e328db9b761:0x6cb7fb631ee5abfd!8m2!3d58.1100506!4d-135.4445
  18. @candydane Pre-Pandemic/pre-Medallion (that was supposed to be working, but wasn't), they stuck a sticker on my cruise card. I always managed to get a stone bed (ahhh). Did not make use of any other spa amenities. Post Pandemic, menus are on the television/app. I suppose you could ask for a hard copy, but there is no need to anymore. Best to ask your Assistant Manager in Club Class dining which nights are xxx. Last night is usually "American" with turkey, meatloaf, and Baked Alaska. I don't care for the Italian night, except for the tiramisu. Somehow, I always pick that night...for making my dinner reservations. Sea Days are usually formal nights. It is getting harder and harder to make specialty dining reservations after you get onboard. I happened to luck out with a Dine Line person who was very helpful in finding me a table with full reservations at a time I preferred. Not saying this will happen for you.
  19. I did not see a reason to repeat that since other posters had already made that statement. I was simply describing a suite experience on the Caribbean Princess.
