I have been to St Maarten twice and have done Bernard Tours both times which is a good tour with a stop at Maho for a couple of hours to see the planes. They have been in business for years and are just as reliable as any tour you would take through Royal. They and other tour operators on these islands are well aware of what time these ships come and go and will not jeopardize their business by not having you back to the port on time. I usually do excursions that are early and get back to the port area at least 2 or 3 hours early then I can walk around that shops at the port and then back to the ship. I never do excursions that end right close to departure time.

Went on Enchantment and didn’t like it. It was my least favorite class of Royal ships and would not go on it again. And getting some type of stomach virus and having to go to the ship’s infirmary about it didn’t make it any better. Couldn’t eat and hold down food for two days!

Santa Monica would be a good distance drive to the port in LA traffic. I would stay closer than Santa Monica.

Anyone that has a pool or hot tub at home knows that you have to properly treat them with chemicals. Because of this I take test strips with me on cruises as well as land base vacations if I plan on getting in public pools or hot tubs. You can purchase these at any pool supply stores. If the water does not test positively for being treated properly I do not get in. But hey that’s just me!

Trikes-Aruba is a good and fun way to tour around the island and see all the sites. We have done this twice and the 2nd time was just as much fun as the first time.

Same here. I have a cruise booked for October this year on Harmony and one booked on Allure in July 24 and the price increase jumped up big time in the cruise planner and especially the Coco Cay prices.

Does anybody know how to add more than one cruise on the app or can you only have one at a time??

It’s not even ranting! It’s just trolling. Have to call what it is. Every single aspect of the cruise all the way down to the excursions was awful……. Yeah Right! 🙄

I stay close to the stairs/elevators usually a hump cabin every time I cruise. The floor diagrams you see are a bit misleading as it appears that the rooms are directly across from the elevators/stairs. In actuality when you come up the stairs or off the elevators you have to then walk to the room hallways which there is a wall that separates that area. You do not hear the people getting on and off elevators or talking because of that distance and separation from the rooms.

Does anyone know if they are still doing jet skis at Coco Cay?? I usually do that excursion every time I go but for an upcoming cruise in October they have never been listed under excursions.

14 cruises and I have always prepaid gratuities since my very first cruise. I give extra to the wait staff and room steward at the end of each he cruise and that amount is based on well I thought the service they provided during the week was. I have no set amount for that extra but it has never been $20 per night for anyone being that I have already prepaid gratuities when I booked the cruise.

Where did you copy these from? Prices seems high for some. Keep in mind that cruises leave from Port Canaveral and not Orlando. Also the ships that sail from Miami ends in Miami not Orlando (Port Canaveral).

The room stewards are not supposed to remove the pool towels from your room. That is why they are blue so that they can be distinguished from the room towels.

I know it’s cruise critic and what that is about but that is not the statement I was making. People can complain about it hate we they want to complain about but my point was why continue to keep spending money on a subpar product which according to some is continuing to decline and can amount thousands of dollars a year. But like I said that’s just me from my observation.

One thing I will never understand is why the people that complain how bad the food quality is and service is, etc, etc, etc. on Royal continue to spend their money cruising on Royal year after year and for some multiple times a year. I just don’t get it but hey that just me!

Are they now going to charge you if you want more than one lobster tail? If so has anybody heard how much?

For those of you that have been there before how did you like it?? Did you think it was worth the price (currently $169.99 per person for my upcoming cruise later this year). How is upgraded lunch?? Plenty of chairs and umbrellas?? I have drink package so no issues there. I usually just get a couple of loungers and umbrellas on the beach.

I will be sailing on Harmony this year and from my understanding there is no solarium like on other Oasis class ships. So what is up there in place of it??

There is shopping right near the port within walking distance in Aruba and Curaçao and not just souvenir shops.

The only thing I be looking at daily is for price drops & drink package prices for my next cruise! 👀

That can vary in Philadelphia. I sent mine there for renewal and they received it on June 22 and I got it back on August 4th which was 6 weeks. This was non expedited.
