  1. Have not seen any other labeling in the buffet except GF. Internet is only so-so
  2. Per the in transit letter we got last night, a 1:00 arrival. In transit all aboard is 7:30
  3. From a post by copper 10-8 over on the HAL board (who is a retired HAL officer) now on a HAL SHIP DOING THE SAME ITINERARY as us, but 2 days ahead, it was a bit of a mess for the in transit passengers.
  4. Tonight is “Sweet Soul Music” . I do t usually go to the big shows preferring the small group music, but I will keep an eye on the patters and give you and update. The music groups i am enjoying are the “Drop” with my favorite Princess singer Helen and the Zinger trio.
  5. Yes you did get a lot of sea days LOL. We did that cruise in 2019 (?) on the old Golden. Loved it. A lot of your ship mates have stayed onboard, going all the way to Alaska.
  6. My patters shows “sweet Soul music” at 7:30 and 9:30 tonight
  7. We boarded at Los Angeles yesterday and are heading north to Vancouver by way of San Francisco, Victoria, and finally Vancouver. They ship is about 60% full and it’s very comfortable moving around. Apparently many people have been on since Sydney as the Majestic‘s working its way from Sydney to Vancouver. They had a pleasant and calm 28 day crushing. That is a great cruise. We did it in 2019 right before Covid on the old golden. My favorite party band singer, Helen (voice of Romania) is on board and doing her usual Good job rocking the ship. I have never seen an entertainer who enjoys herself while entertaining as much as Helen does. As a Celiac, I must eat gluten free ad while I have learned how to navigate the buffet ad restaurant on princess ships, it’s always kind of a pain having to seek out a chef and have them walk around and show me what is gluten-free. Majestic is the first princess ship I have encountered, which actually labels the dishes in the buffet as gluten-free. This is such a simple thing to do and saves both myself, and the chefs a great deal a bother. The sea is generally calm, although it was a little bumpy during the night. Tomorrow is San Francisco .
  8. I am not sure the Princess-Trackhouse NASCAR partnership is any better that a PCA affiliation either.
  9. When you reach a certain age (it will be different for everyone), think carefully about you cruise route and the possibility of a medical emergency. It’s a bad situation to be put ashore and hospitalized in some countries. I know from experience, getting medically debarked 1000 miles from home. They didn’t take insurance. Now, I limit cruising to North America and always have travel insurance ( but you will probably have to pay cash at the hospital and file for reimbursement ). I have considered that 28 day So. Pacific, but passed on it.
  10. Thank you for Sharing your cruise with us. I will be following along with great interest as we have a coastal and Hawaii booked on her when she reaches the west coast.
  11. I have given up trying to get the app to,accept my CC. I have been successful many times on past cruises, but not this time. I will just do it old school, and show up at the pier
  12. Thanks for the thought. Hand imputing though. Think I will just show up pier side like old school.
  13. Ocean ready will not accept my credit card. It’s a Costco visa and keeps saying invalid # ( it works fine everywhere else). I have tired it several times over the last few weeks, same result. Any ideas?
  14. If you are a person who tracks your steps and/or mileage walked, you will get lots and lots of walking on the Royal Class ship. I do a 3 mile walk around the ship first thing in the morning, but than pick up an additional 4 miles through the day, just in the normal course of moving around the ship.
  15. I always get so frustrated with this app as I prepare for a cruise. Maybe it’s just me, but I get messages like “bad gateway” and “this service not available now-try again later.” I guess I would be OK with Princess off-loading their administrative work to us customers if it was a user friendly interface. But it is always a major frustration experienced for me as I prepare for a cruise. And of course, no place to go for help. And yes, I have de-installed and reinstalled the app. Maybe just ignore it all and show up at the pier?
  16. I just posted a question on the medallion sticky thread asking about the medallion for the second cruise. I look forward to hearing what folks respond to this thread. We doing LA to Vancouver, than Alaska on Mejastic.
  17. How does the medallion work with a B2B cruise? Do I get a new and second medallion for the second cruise? If so when? Or does the on medallion work for both cruises? Thanks
  18. Ocean medallion will not accept my Visa card ……it continues to say error in the number. There is not an input error…...card is fully functional and correct # and expiration entered. Any ideas? Thanks
  19. It’s been a tough winter for us west coast cruisers. We have missed a port on all of my recent cruises (including Maui a month ago).
  20. Do that for sure, but don’t count on the cruise personalized. Check in with the head waiter the first night ( helps to eat in the same MDR each night) . He will take your orders every night for the next day. Buffet is more difficulties. Find a chief ( tall white hate) and he will show you what is safe for you.
  21. Does anyone have any success/experience bidding up to a mini from a Casino comped balcony? Thanks
  22. But a very rocky and windy crossing. Hopefully you will have better weather.
