  1. I was surprised to find out that hand sanitizing gels are NOT effective against norovirus. https://www.cdc.gov/norovirus/about/prevention.html Learn something new every day.
  2. We did not get up charged on Edge in February. It was yummy. Get the lobster ravioli with it.
  3. Thank you for the links. Bottom line going through Pearson, maybe, maybe not. Going through Montreal, luggage will transfer automatically, no picking up.
  4. It has been many years since I have connected through either Toronto or Montreal to take a flight to the US. Do you still need to pick up your luggage and carry it through customs? What about coming home?
  5. We booked concierge for our next cruise on Connie out of Tampa Feb 2024, mainly for the embarcation lunch. We were very disappointed with lunch offering on our last cruise (Edge out of Fort Lauderdale Feb 2023). The Mast Grill was horrible, Spa Cafe was closed, buffet was not yet open. When we booked our 2024 cruise Concierge class ws only $45 more than verandah. We figured the embarcation lunch would be a nice touch. Hopefully it will be available for our next cruise. We really don't need an event during the cruise to meet fellow concierge passengers.
  6. IMO complmentary Mast Grill on Edge is over priced.
  7. A bit of a rant. Many years ago (in the pre-internet era) I had a business trip that finished early. I called Air Canada and asked if I could get on an earlier flight wothout paying change fees. I was told to show up at the airport and ask at check-in. Which I did. The check-in agent was nastily adamant that I needed to pay to change my flight. I called Air Canada call center and spoke to a lovely lady who said that there was a note that I was not to be put on an earlier flight. At that point I told the call center lady that I now had a lot of hours to waste. She responded that she was not allowed to hang up on a client and she was most likely to be "down sized" soon (Air Canada had just announced that they were going to be cutting staff). We spent the next 2 hours chatting about a lot of different things. We both enjoyed our time talking. While there are some good Air Canada employees, I hate Air Canada. If there is an option, I fly with someone else. Personally I would not expect Air Canada to do anything to accomodate thier clients. I expect just the opposite from them.
  8. We were on the Edge in AQ. Agree with everything Miched has to say about the tgermal suite. IMO not worth the $.

I had never heard of this until I found one on our Edge cruise in February. It has a good home on our living room mantle.
  10. IMHO. Thermal Suite on Edge was nothing to write home about. If you like saunas okay. Wish they had hot tubs or a pool. Not something I would pay extra for again.
  11. The only reason we booked concierge class on our next cruise is because it was only $43 more than a veranda class.
  12. Agree with you. Fine dining should have tablecloths. We did 2 speciality restaurants on the Edge, placemats there as well.
  13. If you have not booked you flight yet, look at staying over and flying home early the day after your cruise. That way you are not getting home in the middle of the night.
  14. Not sure if it is/was on the app. It was on the mFine+Cut+Menu+with+Prices+Celebrity+Beyond.pdfenu second page in the box titled "Premium Cuts".
  15. Agree with the comment about location of Fine Cut on the Edge. We prefered the food at Fine Cut over Eden. Tomahawk steak with lobster ravioli was wonderful.
  16. At the Ottawa airport there is storage available https://yow.ca/en/coat-check-and-baggage-storage Last time we left from Montreal. We parked at the Airport Marriott underground parkade and left everything in the car. We stayed at the hotel the night before the flight and just walked over to check-in. When we got back the car was waiting for us, snow and ice free. This is a very expensive option though.
  17. There is nothing in that sun deck, not even a place to sit. Just an empty space. You can however look down onto the outdoor area of the big suites
  18. OP here. Great cruise on the Edge. Loved the cabin and infinity verandah. Great shower. No afternoon canapes and the bottle of bubbly was horrible. Blu was okay but the view out the windows was horrible. For us, Aqua Class is not worth the extra cost.
  19. Pet sitter or kennel costs. Snow removal. Someone to check your house as per your insurance policy.
  20. We got to the cruise terminal abot 30 minutes early. They did not have a problem and we just went in as directed. I don't think there will be a problem checking in together.
  21. DH gets all his rx done up in compliance packs by his pharmacy. Each dose is sealed and labelled. He brings enough for the trip plus 7 days. If anyrhing ever happened to him I would just hand the meds to the Dr. All the info is printed on each pack.
  22. https://www.lifeatseacruises.com/ I know a lot of you do long cruises. Would you consider this?
  23. On 9 Feb. while we were on board the Edge we booked our next cruise. We got $200 deposit, current offers and $350 in OBC. Our bookinf was transfered to a Big Box TA. Today I noticed on the Celebrity that the total cost of the cruise had dropped by $188. I called my Big Box TA, who contacted Celebrity. They would give me the new price but I would loose $300 OBC. I said no thank you. In the past they have applied price drops with no changes to OBC. Is this sonething new?
  24. We booked concierge for our next cruise because it was only $43 more per person than verandah.
