Just off the Constellation. We did a Petit Chef speciality dining. The menu was seafood based. I was gobsmacked when the lobster was presented, covered in slightly crushed generic potato chips. Yes, really, slighty crushed potato chips. Just like what is left towards the bottom of the big bag of plain generic chips that you buy at any grocery store. There was nothing else on the plate, just this small cut open lobster lobster covered in slightly crushed potato chips. I don't mind it when my work cafetaria serves potato chips as a side to my $8.00 sandwich, but as a garnish to a $60+ meal? Is this fine dining now? I complained about this and got the usual "we are so sorry" and "the recipes are set by corporate, we have to follow them." Personally, if I had guests over for supper (not counting BBQ or casual) I would never serve potato chips as the side. Am I that old fashion and out of touch with what is considered fine dining today?

Hi. Doing a Celebrity Cruise in a few weeks. Can I book a future Royal Caribbean cruise while on a Celebrity ship?

In my experience we could not do anything with Air Canada until after final payement and Flights by Celebrity actually paid the airline. We were able to choose our seats in December for our February cruise.

Booked CC for upcoming cruise only because it was $45 more. We are interested in the embarkation lunch. In my opinion CC is not worth much, would not pay hundreds more.

A few years ago I attended a meeting of knitters and crocheters. It was advertised in the daily. We only met once, no one seemed to connect. I found that the person who organized it seemed very judgy. She reminded me of staff that I have encountered in some specialty yarn shops. I bring my crochet. Only simple stuff so it does not interfer with my beverage package. I guess you can say that I am a happy hooker.😉

OP here. Thank you all for your input and advice about security. The phone is only used as an ereader, podcast player, for a few on-board ganes and to access an on-line forum (not this one). It is only used on wifi and not with any carrier, no data no phoning, no banking, hardly any email. I wanted to use the Celebrity app for the chat function to be able to contact DH while aboard.

Hi. I have an old iphone6 running software version 12.5.7. I downloaded the app onto this phone for our cruise last year. I decided to check it out in advance of this years cruise. I got onto the app and logged in. It found my cruise and gave me a pop-up saying an update was needed. No problem going to the app store. I tried to update but get a pop- up that says my ios is too old for the newest version of the app but also says I can download an older compatible version. When I click on the button to download an older version, nothing happens. I tried uninstalling the app, turning off the phone, manually re-downloading the app and get the same thing. Except for upgrading my phone (can't afford it, spent all my money on the cruise🙂) does anyone have any ideas what else I can do?

Our one and only experience with Aqua Class was on the Edge in Feb 2023. We loved the infinity verandah, but nothing else in our experience has convinced us to spend the extra for AQ again. Blu was nice, but so were the MDRs. We actually ate more suppers in the MDRs than Blu. Also, in general we did not like the Edge, so are not looking to sail on E class in the future.

We dined twice at Fine Cut on our last cruise in Feb 2023 and were not charged extra for the tomahawk steak. Has there been a change since then? Is it now an extra charge on top?

We are will be flying into Tampa. DH needs to use a wheel chair for longer distances. We have already informed the airline and cruise ship and have arranged scooter rental while on board the ship. When we land in Tampa the airline "should" help from the aircraft to curbside, but we want to go to the car rental area. In Canada the airport accessibility people have always helped us out, but I am not sure how it works in the US. The Tampa airport website is of no help Can anyone please advise?

Because, if you have the primium package you can. I ask for top shelf in all my drinks, not that I can taste the difference, but because I paid for it and I can.

In the past we always upgraded to Premium. For our next cruise (Feb 2024) we were not going to, but the upgrade was 58% off, so we did. I make sure to tell the bartenders to use top shelf in my drinks, and I watch them 🤪 pour. I like not being restricted, trying new drinks and not having a bill at the end of the cruise. Worth it for me.

DH will be getting both of his hips replaced AFTER our cruise in Feb 2024 on Celebrity Constellation. He can get around a bit with crutches, but can't really go more than 100 ft. at a time. We do not have an accessable cabin We are thinking or renting a mobility aid for the cruise. What would be best, wheelchair, power chair or scooter?

Was on Edge in Feb. I found the service and product (cappucinos and lattes) in Secundo the same as at the primary location.

We were in Aqua Class on our last cruise. Just had to ask the room attendant for it. No problem, delivered on ice. It was horrible, we ended up dumping it down the drain. Will not both on next cruise.

To those of you who posted a few days ago to let us know about a sale for upgrading from classic to premium drink package. I was able to upgrade for 53% off. If you had not posted I would not have known about this. Thanks again.

I go to the different bars and speciality restaurants and order things I would not drink at home. Some are hits, some are misses (Earth at Eden bar, tasted like well... earth). I also ask for my margarettas and other drinks to be made using top shelf. It is also a great opportunity to try different brands. I have them use different gins when I order a gin and tonic. Enjoy the freedom to explore.

Hi all. On our last cruise (Edge, February 2023) Crown Royal rye seemed scarse, only a few bars seemed to have it. I was looking at some posted bar menues and Crown Royal was not there. Has Celebrity stopped carrying Crown Royal?

Ask your room attendant. We were in Aqua last Feb (2023). Our very patient room attendant put it on ice for us a few days in a row. When we finally openned it, it was horrible (I drink pretty much anything). It ended up going down the drain.
