  1. Sheila, I was also hoping that they would have the new light grey soft furnishings as they had on Equinox when I sailed in January.
  2. What was the AQ room you from which you moved? I hate that fan noise, too. Looking forward to your review. Boarding Solstice in May.
  3. I’d like to understand what you did but I’m confused. Can you explain in a more step-by-step way? I really want to understand. Are you saying that you can change from a refundable fare to a non/refundable fare after final payment and get the cruise repriced? Ty
  4. I ordered one from Mast Grill in Jan. It was thin, already over cooked but returned to grill to be warmed up. Took just one bite. Not worth the calories, for sure.
  5. Thank you. I obviously don’t focus on this even when it’s obvious. 😂
  6. On a recent Equinox cruise, my DH asked me what the Pearl designation meant on our seapass card. Since we seldom ,if ever, go into the casino I figured it meant that it was based on what experts’ say is the chances of finding a pearl in an oyster—1 in about 10,000. Now, I’m curious to know what other designations there are & what do they mean?
  7. We sailed on Equinox in early January in AQ and dined in BLU. The waiters both told us each night we could select appetizers from the MDR & even entrees or desserts. They offered that information without being asked. Although we didn’t opt for that every evening, we did order the onion soup several times, the Crème Brûlée, Shrimp Appetizer (get a double order because it’s now only 3 small shrimp) and maybe one entree during the 10-day cruise. It was very nice to have that option and having the menu on the app made it easy to check what was on the MDR menu. Loved having the app!
  8. West Side Treasures in St Lucia was one of best ship excursions we’ve done & great use of OBC. Review posted in Caribbean destination board.
  9. Loved Take Three as well. Wow! What an incredible group of talented musicians. They mentioned they had 12 music degrees amongst the 3 of them & from top music schools. We were so delighted when they returned at the end of the cruise to perform again. Agree with @39augustthat the singer who joked that she was a female impressionist (not impersonator) did nail every singer she performed, not just by changing her look (wig) but her voice, moves & entire act. She even did a male singer. Finally, we also enjoyed Matt & Lainey which highlighted his guitar(s) playing and loved his fantastic interpretation of Dire Straits’ Sultans of Swing, as well as other songs. The shows on this cruise were really extra special.
  10. We were in Equinox earlier this month. No drink menus had been updated. Old menus & old prices. Seemed to me that upgrading to premium was a waste since menu prices per drink had not been updated.
  11. I did a zoom meeting on Equinox a few weeks ago after upgrading to the premium internet using ear phones. It wasn’t perfect but sufficient for my needs. The basic internet was barely adequate for emails.
  12. Was gone on my Jan 2nd Equinox cruise. I checked on 3 sea days. Others noticed this on other ships?
  13. I noticed that that the made-to-order stir fry which was my “go to” at lunch was gone. Also, the poached egg station only had salmon and spinach, no ham or Canadian bacon. When I asked the staff, they went off in the back to check and never came back. I just got fried eggs instead.
  14. Agree that it’s a hassle. We booked Murano on the ship with the Maitre D, and presented our seapass card with our Elite + designation. He confirmed it would be discounted 15%. On our on-Board account, we were charged the full price. That annoyance and the fact that we had to reserve a bit later than our preferred time for dinner (at Blu), we cancelled. It shouldn’t be that hard to get the loyalty benefit they promised and beautifully presented in a pre-printed card we found in our stateroom
  15. We arrived to embark Equinox at 1:30PM just 2 weeks ago. There wasn’t a single passenger in the entire terminal, just dozens of employees looking to be the one we picked to approach. The entire check-in has been streamlined. It’s a breeze. Just arrive at noon as has been recommended.
  16. Actually, on our last X cruise in early January, the bread basket served before dinner in Blu was exactly the same each of the 10 nights. They did mention some unrecognizable flavorings on the breadsticks and very thin cracker-like bread (can't remember what it was called right now) but the other 2 offerings were the same & quite uninteresting each night. Gone are the days when you looked forward to different and yummy bread choices each evening. Mind you, I love bread, but these were wasted calories with the corn, peas, beets and other similar "dips" the consistency & likely taste of bottled baby food. 🥴
  17. Maybe others have said this and I’ve missed it. I only eat at OVC for dinner when we are late returning from an excursion or on long cruises when we want a more casual, quick dinner some nights. It seems that X could reduce waste by closing stations, reassigning staff to MDR, and still provide much better options than shown in the OPs video for those who do eat dinner at OVC. Add a station to fresh grill chicken, fish (not tilapia), steaks & fresh veggies to order, rather than large trays of pre-cooked food. Nothing like a nice Ceasar salad with fresh grilled protein on top. To me it’s not about having 100’s of different choices at the OVC to serve just a few people, mostly going to waste, it’s about the quality of the choices. That video displaying the dinner options available should be embarrassing to X. I don’t blame cruisers who frequent the OVC for dinner for being upset.
  18. I love visiting the old churches in town with lots of historical information. https://www.trubahamianfoodtours.com/bahamas-special-events-and-festivals/nassau-churches/ And the octagonal public library built as a prison in 1797; a short walk from the ship.
  19. The choices were utterly ridiculous. Never heard of any of them.
  20. That’s a very interesting premise. We went once to the Martini bar on Equinox last week, ordered from the waiter, and received the smallest glass, with the smallest olives I’d ever seen. The olives were inedible. We’d ordered Grey Goose with our premium package but I’m certain that’s not what we got. It was closer to 8pm than 7pm but your explanation makes sense. First time I didn’t finish a martini. EVER. Skipped that bar for rest of cruise unlike cruise on Edge last spring with wonderful martinis every night.
  21. Well, this one was on me. My DH had booked flights by celebrity and they weren’t showing on the Celebrity website, just included in the final amount due. We received an updated booking invoice when we called that did include the reserved flights. Boy, that website could use improvement. 🥴 Thanks all!
  22. Same thing happened to us. We were told it takes a few days for the included gratuities to be reversed out of the charge. The following week, it had been. We called and asked for an updated booking invoice statement with clarification that gratuities were included and received it.
  23. I booked a cruise last July for Sept, 2023 and received my confirmation and balance due via email at that time. Tonight, I had just completed some port research and wanted to look at excursions available through Celebrity to make some bookings with my OBC. When I go to the Celebrity website to access my reservation, the amount owed showing today is $2,000+ more than on my invoice. I tried to call Celebrity but the wait time was 108 minutes. Curious if others are noting a similar problem. Are they having a massive computer fail causing this?
  24. I was told it didn’t apply on my cruise because I was getting a FLorida resident rate. It’s one BS story after another.
