  1. My friend and I were on the Sky Princess in January. We had lunch at Alfredo’s twice and enjoyed it very much. We thought the soup was delish. She had a veggie pizza (which she loved) and I had a Margherita Pizza that was always delish. We enjoyed tiramisu for dessert. We had no complaints. The first time we went we were seated immediately. The second time, they gave us a pager and we were seated in about 20 minutes or so.
  2. We were on the Sky Princess on 1/13. Green Lane. We arrived at the port around 11:30 a.m. Gave our luggage to a porter. Got in the Green Lane and were on board in a few minutes. It was easy peasy. There is nothing to worry about.
  3. I don’t think so. Our last night was a sea day, but formal night was the night before. We were in port until 4:00 p.m. We had plenty of time to get ready.
  4. We boarded the Sky Princess on January 13th around 11:30 a.m. We were in the Green Lane and it was the best. We were on board in a few minutes. Blue Lane was long. We were very happy!
  5. I got off the Sky Princess two weeks ago today. I have avoided getting Covid so far, and I was hoping to cruise for a week and not get it. I got the most recent Covid vaccine in November. I wore a mask on the plane to Fort Lauderdale. I ALWAYS wore a mask while on an elevator. The ship’s elevators were usually very crowded. We were on Deck 15, so usually one of the last to get off. We always washed our hands before entering the buffet and tried to use our cabin bathroom, when it made sense. I am happy to report that my friend and I stayed healthy.
  6. We were in a connecting Mini-Suite on the Sky Princess last week. There was absolutely no noise coming from the other room. Didn’t hear a thing.
  7. We were in the Tower (new section). We had a room with two queen sized beds. It was a nice sized room and the bathroom was big, too. If the difference isn’t too much, I would go with the newer section.
  8. We stayed at The Riverside Hotel two weeks ago. The hotel is lovely. I would stay there again and can highly recommend.
  9. I took these pictures on the Regal Princess in 2018.
  10. Oh, sorry, I misread that part. We took a shuttle to Port Everglades from the Riverside Hotel. I can’t edit my previous response. Sorry. 🙁
  11. We flew out of Terminal 2. The guard did not ask our airline, just the time.
  12. We flew home from FLL yesterday. Our flight was at Noon and we arrived at the airport around 8:40 a.m. (We were on the Sky Princess). I was holding my breath when the guard asked me our flight time. Fortunately, she let us go through. FLL was pretty calm yesterday, The last time I was there (February 1, 2020), it was chaos.
  13. I just stayed at the Riverside Hotel on January 12th. We took a shuttle from the hotel to the Port for $12 each. Easy peasy.
  14. We stayed at The Riverside Hotel on January 12th. It’s a lovely hotel on Las Olas Boulevard. Had dinner at the Boathouse Restaurant which was very good. We took a shuttle to the Port on Saturday morning. $12 each. I would stay here again. I can highly recommend.
  15. When we got the offer to bid, the minimum bid for the Forward Facing Club Class Mini-Suite was less than the minimum bid for the Club Class Mini-Suite. I am glad there was a distinction because I wouldn’t want the Forward Facing Mini-Suite due to the metal balcony railing. I prefer plexiglass so I can see the water when sitting down.
  16. Great! Thank you! Yes, they are boxed nicely. I took a picture and sent it to my travel companion. All I said was “Yahoo”. 😁. One week from today! 🛳️
  17. Yes! They came today. I didn’t take the box apart because it looks so nice. 😁. Are the lanyards in there, too? They must be, right?
  18. Just checked my status - “Out For Delivery. Expected by 4:30 p.m.” Woohoo! 😁🛳️
  19. Fingers crossed for you. Can you please tell me how to check on your bid? TIA!
  20. You do not know the room number. I currently have a bid in for a Reserve Class Mini-Suite on the Sky Princess in January. If I win the bid, our new cabin will be assigned and my cc will be charged. No going back. At least that’s the way I understand it.
  21. I decided to bid on a Club Class Mini-Suite for our cruise in January. I only bid a little over the minimum, so I don’t have high hopes. If we get it fine, if not, that’s fine, too. Now we wait. 😁
  22. No problem. I am still on the fence about bidding on the upgrade. I have had CC dining once and it was very nice to just walk up and be seated. I may bid, but only a little over the minimum. I feel pretty confident that they won’t put us in a CC Forward Facing Mini Suite, since the two categories are separate on the bidding email. Thanks for your help. Enjoy your cruise.
  23. Thank you. I did a search on YouTube for a “Sky a Princess Forward Facing Club Class Mini Suite” and the tour of the cabin showed solid balconies, both on the side and the front. However, the video I was watching didn’t really say what ship they were on. I believe the cabin number was L103, but I am not positive about that. I would have to look again. Thanks for your help.
  24. Thank you for for your response. So, are you saying that in a Forward Facing Mini Suite there is a regular PLEXI-GLASS balcony on the side (where you can sit and look at the water) in addition to the huge balcony facing forward (which, I understand, is not plexiglass)?
