  1. Ok. my bad as I did not pay attention to the addition to the footnote. Holiday sailings has been added to the footnote. In doing the mock bookings, it seems that "kids sail free promo" is also not available on Easter sail, going forward.
  2. Same for our recent Oasis sail. No cabin cleaning or picking up used towels, however he opened/closed the couch as a third bed. No need to pre-grats, however we did at the end of cruise. I was solo in cabin, and it was strange as he delivered cleaned and or pressed clothing and left a paper version of the cruise planner, but no replacement of the used towels.
  3. What are the blackout dates for promo code DP 340. I know that most of the Summer months are blocked out, but don't recall the rest of the year. In past bookings, I was able to use the promo on Easter sails but did a few mock bookings and is not available.
  4. Just off Oasis and the D lounge had people but not completely full. Some nights very few. Snacks were offered at Breakfast and Happy Hour time. Occasionally, while getting my decaf cappuccino, some cookies were available in the afternoon. Loved the prosciutto served in the PM hours. One night I got a plate full and brought it to Chop's as my granddaughter loves the stuff.🤣
  5. I’m a solo traveler and get the standard ocean view or neighborhood balconies and with the solo supplement I’m paying the same or lesser than a solo cabin and get double points.
  6. During the processing of the reservations, the agent was having a problem with my SIL C&A number, but when he confirmed that both reservations pricing, I assumed that everything was all right--which it wasn't. It was unusual as IMO consider the Casino Desk folks to be far above all the others in the servicing and knowledge process.
  7. Both names were on the invoice. The funny thing was that since my granddaughters needed to be with an adult in each cabin, my SIL C&A number was incorrect but at the same time his daughter in the cabin C&A was correct. My assumption, the calculation of the C&A balcony discount looked at the adult in cabin --SIL.
  8. Happened to me. Booked 2 reservations at the same for my daughter and family via the Casino desk. One of the reservations did not have a C&A # and did not generate the D balcony discount. I had the fare amounts all confirmed, however, I did not examine the invoice until the next day. Well, when I examined noticed that the discount of $226 wasn't there. Called CS and they wanted to charge me some $300 more because the fare had changed. I told them that I don't understand because the agent screwed up. Anyway, they told me that I need to speak to some higher individual. After going back and forth, at the end, it cost a difference of $63 in total. Lesson learned, since that episode, I do not hang up until I get an invoice that has all of the correct data and agreed $ amounts. By the way, first time this has happened to me. I blame it on the after effect of Covid.
  9. I electronically sent my request for the OBC and got a response that the names did not match, therefore, denying the request. So, the next day, since this was the first time it's happened, I decided to fax the request. The very next day I get confirmation of approval and denial.😜 Went to my cruise planner for that specific cruise and the OBC was posted. 👍
  10. Good grief. 😆 Possibly sweet tooth.
  11. They were quite big if not the same as previously on my Oasis August 20 cruise. In addition to the shrimps, I get the crab cake and the lamb chops as the entree. Ps. If they were any bigger, they would be the size of the lobster tail. 🤣 By the way for those that like seafood, may I recommend Seafood Linguini at Giovanni's, but with marinara.
  12. Both are good in their own way. Favorite is Giovanni’s. They also have a filet in their menu. Make sure you start off with the meat and cheese platter. Last time we asked for extra parmigiano cheese and they came through with nice chunks.
  13. Listen, not for anything but on my Oasis August 20 sail any invite by the LA was done via voice mail. Almost missed the Cheers with the Officer lunch. In the past got a paper invite to any appropriate event and a letter identifying D+ on board benefits. Guess saving on paper and ink of lazy LA.
  14. Yes, I have a very old one (8/16/2013) and was confirmed that it's still outstanding.
  15. Current ones the OBC amount is good if convert to an actual within 2 months. It expires entirely after a year from the date of thecertificate.
  16. The North Star per pay version goes from side to side over the water.
  17. I check my charges and credits on the interactive tv. Any errors want to catch in the bud. Also, go to GS and get copy of invoice the night before. In addition, within days, I receive an e-mail with the attached invoice.
  18. I'm booked on an 11 niter in January '25. Booked because of a very different itinerary, longer cruise and decent pricing. It'll be change of pace from the experience of sailing out of Bayonne and a repetitive itinerary. Keep in mind, that when Quantum was introduced, people and reviewers especially on this board, went bananas because it lacked a standard Royal promenade. Imagine a simple change and totally different configuration people were dumping on the ship.
  19. There are additional benefits at 340+& 525+--solo supplement, cheers with an officer, additional bottle of wine, better toiletries, etc.
  20. If I recall, under the old system. suites did not earn any extra points and longer cruises (9-10+?) earned an extra point.
  21. Why, the Lounge is pretty much empty these days. You know, I never thought about it, but in addition to the drink policy, part of the reason is that traditional dining went from 6 to 5:30 and more recently on Oasis it was 5 with a sign that allows you only 15 minutes grace.
  22. There's a thread of an announcement by Royal that the Diamond Lounges will be renamed Crown Lounges
  23. Royal is pretty loyal and generous to its customers. For instance, I would equate Kids sail free with the Casino free comped cruises. Points are earned on comped cruises. I'm not educated enough on Celebrity, but someone had posted some time ago when there was a huge discussion on this topic that Celebrity doesn't allow children to accumulate points. Maybe someone can confirm or educate me.
  24. The children retain any points earned as children. They need to earn their next tier on their own.
  25. Keep on mind that the C&A program allows for the parent's tier level to pass on to their children.
