Please re-read your post # 3, and I'm going to highlight the areas in question. Unless there's another Firefly😜 Playmakers which is on a limited number of ships has very good ala carte selections imo. Though I'm not sure 4 could easily eat at Emrils for $30 to $40 unless you are sharing food. I would consider them comparable price wise. It was on oasis last week. The bbq on both ships I would say are comparable. ..though included on mardi gras and i guess celebration, on some vista class is extra at night for the finger food, horizon for instance. Free breakfast at johnny rockets is better than anything on carnival imo. Sushi places are comparatively priced on both. At diamond plus I get bogo every cruise. Carnival at diamond gives me ONE free pay restaurant. .. no comparison imo, rcl wins for anyone at diamond plus or higher. And I sure miss my free drinks and wifi on carnival. It's not apples to apples imo when I can do a bogo. Chops winds up cheaper for me.

It's a question that I'm asking you--you quoted "And I sure miss my free drinks and wifi on carnival." You probably meant D+ on Royal gets the daily 5 drinks and 2 free days of wi-fi.

As D on Carnival you get unlimited drinks and wi-fi.

I believe there's a kiosk in the Promenade that hands them out. That is where my Son and family got theirs. This was on Oasis sailing from Bayonne, and it may be different on other ships.

Believe conveniency is of major concern to me as I'm about 25 minutes car ride from the port parking, plus I find any Oasis/Quantum ship to be a destination.

FYI: Entertainment schedule from Anthem's February 4th sail. One game that I highly recommend is in the Music Hall "Ultimate Lip Singing" game show. I found it quite entertaining and offered on the 3rd night of an 8 nite cruise.

Try 5PM on some ships. On my recent Anthem sail the printed time for traditional was 5:30, but they kept announcing that early dining was at 5:15pm. In the early stage of the cruise, I did not pick the announcement up as the PA is not necessarily clear and when I showed up at 5:30 the waiter was already taking diners orders.

Just got the notice of the March Anthem package cancellation. I don't know who writes and approve their messages and wish they were more forthcoming rather their explanation of "Due to change in Plans". 🤣 Everybody knows that it was their screw up.

I love the ship; however, I've sailed many times and the shows get boring and repetitive. However, I enjoy the acts/headliner(s) in the theatre, music played in smaller venues and especially in the Music Hall. Many nights I entertain myself in the Casino.😜 Ps. I also have the same complaints when I sail Oasis. Looking forward to change of pace in the upcoming sails on Symphony and Odyssey.

On my February Anthem cruise, my MTD began at 6:45. However, I was seated at a table for 8 with only 4 diners and it was traditional early (5:15). On or about the 3rd night we were joined by a MTD couple at about 5:30. The couple joined us for about 3 nights only. Maybe if there are empty seats in the MDR they allow some to dine earlier than the listed time. Ps. There are always empty seats in the MDR. Also, if one needs special times due to medical condition, I suggest contacting Royal at rcldining@rccl.com a few weeks prior to sail.
