  1. I've sailed Oasis in August, October and December. Had early traditional and the service was good to excellent. The old menu and the entrees and appetizers were very good with the exceptions of the pork chops entrees. Dry and chewy. I do a better job with Shake and Bake. The Osis WJ is a disgrace both for breakfast and lunch. No ready to make omelet/egg and waffle/pancakes stations. Tried the pr-made omelets. What you get is an omelet that has been sliced into 3 pieces with very little fillings. At the WJ lunch they put out seafood, chicken and egg spreads. Talk about garbage salads--so watery and don't know if they used too much mayo, however it certainly was not Hellman's. Sailed on Anthem in early February and the 1st 2 nights the service was ever so slow. some at our table threatened to go to the WJ for dinner. The Headwaiter promised better result going forward and he sure delivered. Don't know whether the problem was in the kitchen or our wait staff. The new menu was iffy. 3 out of the 8 nights entrees left a lot to be desired. The worst was Mexican night as i was looking forward to the Carne Asada, but all I got was a piece of meat that was dry and inedible. Italian and British night could have used better selections of appetizers. One night the chef's recommendation was the Pork Chop entree, but our waiter cautioned us not to order it.😆 The bright portion of my dining experience was the Anthem WJ. Better set up and selections than the Oasis class. For breakfast they have 2 made to order omelet/egg stations and waffle/pancake station. You can see the individual making the waffles fresh. When you order the freshly made omelets/eggs, they give you a gizmo (?) that tells you to pick up your order. One day, after placing my omelet order, I went to get coffee and left the gizmo at my table, and it must have gone off and one of the staff members delivered to my table. I was impressed. For lunch, they had at any given time 2 made to order pasta stations and 1 stir fry station. Both of these stations were quite busy. Like on Oasis the spreads were garbage. One day at lunch they had a dish called "Italian chicken beef steak".😊 Don't know what it was, but it certainly tasted good and quite moist. One day for lunch I was dying for a tuna salad sandwich or wrap. I went to 2x70 (Park Cafe version) and saw that they had tuna salad wrap. So, I ordered the wrap and was shocked that the length of the wrap was about a little over an inch. I was so shocked, and the server saw my look and gave me 2 additional tiny wraps. Although small, they tasted very good. Cutting back, anyone. By the way, no chips whatsoever on the ship. I even asked to look under the counter. I was told that chips have been eliminated fleetwide. I was advised to order from rooms service. I just bit my lips. Another item that has gone the way of the Dodo bird is the antipasti salad at Sorrento's. This is also fleetwide. I really enjoyed the olive salad with the pizza. Hope things improve.🙏 The stock has certainly rebounded although took a hit last week.
  2. Mine is a profit sharing plan. Based on how I do in the Casino🤣
  3. Remember, there are 2 versions. The free one is on port days and a charge of $25 (?) for the sea days version as it is longer and goes over the water from side to side. Reservations on the App It's such a pain. They tell you that reservations open on about 8 AM each day, but in my last 3 cruises I have not been successful. I get a notification that it's all booked up. I must be the slowest typist on the ship.😆 Never got a proper explanation from staff. This past February sail, I basically went and stood by if cancellations. Was successful. On my April Easter sail, I was raving about it to my family and could not wait to have them up on high and look out on both ship and port. Not a chance. Finally got so frustrated as the last port was Nasau that I had the D lounge concierge get me reservations for 4. Beautiful sight of the ship and Nassau. Ps. My understanding is only once per cruise.
  4. What made the launch more amazing at one point one can see a speck (rocket) side by side with an almost full moon. Would have loved to be high on the North Star and seen the launch.🚀
  5. We were in PC on our Anthem February 5 sail and the launch was postponed from 5:32 to 8:32 due to windy conditions. it was a marvelous sight watching the launch from the 15th deck
  6. Remember the major reason why in the USA it ranges between 15-20% of the bill as compared to other countries is that you must take into consideration the hourly wage being paid. What I find troubling sometimes is when the restaurant breaks down the tipping amount by % on bill, they do not exclude the sales tax or in some cases the CC charge. I know it's minor amount, but it irks me.😊
  7. The offset a reasonable wage is that prices would go up and the wait staff would still expect a gratuity. You are not being pressured to leave a tip but expect something of your action on social media.🤣
  8. On my December 4 Oasis sail there was a large table of at least 16+ diners set up. Early traditional dining on the 4th deck dining room and set up as you enter the restaurant. You could not miss it as you enter or exit.
  9. Maybe you can become a chef with Royal. You certainly know how to master a good dish.😊
  10. Maybe those posters that are super clean, make their own beds, clean out the trash, use a ratty towel multiple times or days, should place their magnetic sign with "Sleepint it off" and take it off when they want cabin service. I had a passenger adjoining my cabin on Anthem, that had the sleeping sign on for at a minimum 85% of the time. The only reason that I knew the cabin was occupied I heard her loud voice one day when my balcony door was open. Maybe she was a member of the test group.🤣
  11. I don't have to worry about it as my Entertaiment/Vacation $ is spent mostly on cruising and Atlantic City.
  12. Those are the folks that usually respond to request.
  13. What I found odd, I sailed on Anthem recently and MTD was listed at 6:45-9. I was seated in one of the 4 restaurants at a table for 8, but only attended by 5 in total. About 3 days into our cruise, a couple in MTD dining was seated at our table at 5:45. Just wondering if one goes earlier than the listed MTD time, is/are accommodated.
  14. If it's in their amenities description, then it's on me.
  15. Is that in the description before making reservations. So, what you are saying that in a week's stay, your room is cleaned, and towels replaced only once. Must be a flea bag.😊 I would stay as far away from them as far as possible.
  16. Do we know that the little guy gets stiffed. IMO, it's Royal that makes up for the difference int the overall pool, if any. Maybe someone with better understanding of the cruise line grats procedures and allocation can chime in. Ps. Talking about the normal grats and not the extra that a Pax will give based on performance.
  17. Unfortunately, the cutbacks will provide further support to those that remove the auto grats.😟
  18. Big improvement they got rid of those old and rusted loungers. Now they have the same as at Coco Cay all laid out and with umbrellas.
  19. Or $29.99 towards on board internet plan price.
  20. There was a "Pax on Lunch with Officers" event that was telling us that she got her old one reprogrammed on Anthem without a fee. I have an old one from Quantum and wondering if they will reprogram when I sail her again.
  21. I'm very familiar as to owns most of the stock. Was merely jesting, however, the company reputation may be damaged as more Paxs go the route of the social media by complaining and affect my investment. Not worried about the $100 OBC, that is a side perk and would not be heartbroken if they got rid of it.
