  1. Too bad, you missed the double points promo as it would have earned you 3 points.😜
  2. Funny, I just did an 8 niter on Anthem on Casino offer and charged $5 for a solo balcony, plus T&F. At my MDR table, there were 3 of 5 diners on comped Casino cruises.
  3. Thanks Fiona and RockMom. Another question are there 2 outside pools and where is the kiddy pool area on Odyssey.
  4. Call the C&A desk 800.526.9723. I had to follow up to see if the LA on Anthem had processed the request. Not surprised, none on record. PS, If D+ prompt #9.
  5. I love leaving out of Bayonne, NJ, but the 7- or 8-night itinerary going south is basically stale. Any chance of getting rid of Nassau and replace it with either St Thomas or St Marteen. Also, bring back the Savory Bites in the MDR, on request.🤣
  6. Why would they bring Odyssey to Bayonne if it doesn't have an indoor pool. I was on Anthem leaving February 4 and the temperature was a balmy 8 degrees. Many were in the indoor pool. Likewise coming up north on the 8th day, although the temperature was 40 with the wind blowing it felt in the low 20s. No one was at the outdoor pool, but the indoor pool was mobbed by children and parents. Just curious, what is in its place? With regards to shows. I've sailed on Anthem and Oasis some 6 times and although some of their productions shows (Cats, Gift, Spectra) are repetitive, there's a lot of different activities in smaller venues like Music Hall, Boleros, etc. I saw on day 3 one of the funniest skits in the Music Hall titled "Ultimate Lip Sync" game show. Simply hilarious. My big problem is the itinerary sailing South. Wish they would substitute Nassau or Port Canaveral with some other port(s). My 8-niter included Miami, but on the same 8 niter sailing in February '24 Miami is missing, but an extra day of sailing, however arriving at Port Canaveral at 7AM rather than 12 PM. Ps. It was a thrill of a lifetime to see the launch of the Space X rocket.
  7. Yes, if it's a regular cabin for 2. Studio cabins are awarded 1 point, if I'm not mistaken.
  8. At the 7th night you basically know the tablemate next to you as to how to behave and what to say. Not awkward at all.
  9. We found out from the bus driver shuttling us to Ron Jon. We found out the rescheduling from 5:32 to 8:32 from Royal dining room staff. Also, my cabin attendant was very much aware.
  10. That was once in a lifetime experience. Many passengers that I spoke were annoyed at the lack of announcements regarding such an event.
  11. Same for my February 4 Anthem sail. Had choice and got in board a few days later.
  12. Sailed Anthem last week and I found the WJ on the Anthem to be superior to Oasis for breakfast and lunch. For breakfast there are 2 freshly made to order eggs and omelets stations. In addition, one can see the French Toast and waffles being prepared and many times I would ask the maker to make me fresh ones. For lunch, Anthem has added a stir fry station(s) to go along with the freshly prepared past stations. The one thing that turned me off was the so-called tuna, egg and chicken spreads and they looked so liquidly that they did not look appetizing. One day for lunch they served "Italian chicken beef steak." Crazy, but it was tasty.🤣 Ps. No bananas for the first 3 days at breakfast. Must have gotten supply in Miami.
  13. I was on last week Anthem cruise and did not see that kind of tiny lobster. Mine was a tad larger than the previous ones and served in the shell. Nothing as small as the photo.
  14. Just sailed Anthem and always ordered 2 appetizers every night. One night the appetizers were not to my liking and ordered the spaghetti dish from the kid's menu as an appetizer.
  15. It wasn't coercing. After you spend some 7-night dining together you basically become friends/tablemates and did not bother that person and was glad to do it. Hey, free is good just like my 8 niter.🤣
  16. Just off Anthem and the waiter would not recommend the Pork Chops. Had them prior to the new menu and they were dry and chewy. The Carne Assada on Mexican night was like shoe leather. The lobster was a tad larger and IMO tasted just like the warm water ones. Appetizers selections for Italian and British nights was a lot to be desired. Next time on Italian night, I'll go to the WJ and make myself a plate of antipasto and bring it down to the MDR.🤣 However, the WJ on the Anthem for breakfast & lunch is very good. Between the layout of the stations, plus the omelets and waffle stations for breakfast was a blessing as compared to the one on Oasis. Also, for lunch, they have both pasta and stir fry stations. The stir fry seemed to be very popular. The only downside was the lack of bananas on the first 3 days. They must have gotten supply in Miami as there was plenty from that day on. By the way, there were no chips of any kind to be had in both 2x70 (Park Cafe version) and at Coco Cay's Mexican buffet stations. Was told by a sarcastic staff member to order the chips via room service. I almost bit my tongue. Another casualty was the elimination of the small antipasti station available at Sorrento's. Gone is the enjoyment of the olives salad with a slice of pizza.
  17. On Anthem and only us. Many loungers empty. There’s construction going on in back of the initial tram stop.
  18. Got mine for free on Anthem. At my table there was a discussion regarding whether the lobster was Maine or Carib. The person sitting next to me decided against the tail and opted for the cod dish. I nicely asked her to order the tail as a 2nd entree and I enjoyed it. The tail itself seemed a bit bigger, but the taste was similar to the previous ones. Advice, if you want a 2nd make a friend of your fellow diners🤣 At minimum it made up for the terrible Carne Assada on Mexican night and terrible appetizers selections on Italian night. Next time I’m going to get a plate of antipasto from the WJ and bring it to the MDR. 😀 PS. The tail is not remotely worth the $16.99 + grats.
  19. On Anthem now, last night was smart casual and very few sport jackets. Lots of shorts and polos.
  20. Sometimes I’ve had minor credits on my invoice and it’s T&F. Not a lot, just minor amounts.
