I remember when it was offered on the Q class it was held in the American Icon restaurant and as you entered there was a dessert station with a masterful chocolate syrup fountain in the center. The fountain was surrounded by cakes, ice cream. brownies, pies, etc. When I spooned the syrup over the ice cream it created a solid chocolate shell over the ice cream and reminded me of the Dairy Queen brown top.
They also had a buffet breakfast in the MDR.
Oh, those were the days.
I'm a shareholder myself, and if you start pinching pennies, it may come back to bite you.
Also, will the decision reached, one way or the other, is predicated on the feedback from the Symphony trial basis.
Ps, Sorry, I was responding to post #134.
If I was the OP, I would contact mbayley
Can you please explain, why are the agents there if they are uninformed and cannot offer realistic information. Are they there to just answer phones or provide proper instructions.
Do a mock booking and arm yourself with the price points. This morning I did a few mock bookings and got the D+ balcony discount with the so called 30% sale. Or better yet, call again and speak to a different CS rep.
I remember the shortage, but Royal never removed them from the menu. I remember my wife and I to tease the waiter and always ordered them and the reply was "they are not available due to shortages". Towards the end of cruise on Valentine's Day, my wife ordered the escargots, as usual, and she was pleasantly surprised that the waiter delivered in full butter 6 escargots. Don't know where they got them but became available ever since.😊
Each person orders their own appetizers, entrees, and desserts. If they indicate that each entree feeds 2-4, those Paxs are on diets.😁
Ps. You can order multiple appetizers.
On our October Oasis sail, once the asst. Waiter saw the Sea Pass initially and determined out tier status, he never asked for our card again for the rest of the cruise.
I'd rather they go this route. Standard menu with many selections.
At the rate Royal is going the Dinner menu will resemble the Chop's lunch or the lunch with Officers menu.😃
I got the savory bites every night except the first on my last 3 cruises. You just have to ask the head Waiter. Also, as a matter of fact. my granddaughter loved the pretzel rolls in Chop's and the head waiter was very accommodation and got them for her. Don't know going forward with all of these changes.
