Thank you very much for your valuable information 😀 Then it is like before in the YC restaurant, I need to order the night before. Very strange that they don't have space for snacks in the Top Sail Lounge, all the other ships in the fleet with YC have that. Another question if you have time, do they offer GF bread/alternatives for breakfast in the YC Restaurant ? All other cruiselines I have sailed with show their menus with allergies. I'm glad to hear that the speciality restaurants offer GF alternatives 👍😀

I'm very interested to hear how your fellow travellers gluten free experience is going , especially in the Yacht Club Restaurant and on the Pooldeck Lunch Buffet. Are there descent alternatives for breakfast ? I'm booked in the Yacht Club onboard the Seascape from Miami and have notified MSC through a special needs form. They have confirmed that it's noted in my booking. Have a great cruise 👌💯

Good evening from Norway, It's been a while since we last time sailed in YC, that was on the MSC Grandiosa back in October 2021. We are soon heading to Miami and the Seascape. @Cruise12347 i didn't see your message before now 🙈 The menus was not repetitive, they luckily offered a new menu every day. I didn't eat lunch in the MDR so I can't tell. How did your cruise go? Were you happy about the GF food options onboard?

@EmilyMac Thank you very much for your report from your cruise . It's somewhat disappointing to read your report as I'm booked in the Yacht Club onboard the MSC Seascape from Miami in March. I've done one cruise in Yacht Club since I got the celiac disease and that was on the MSC Grandiosa in the Mediterranean Sea. The food that they offered in the Yacht Club Restaurant was good to very good but outside meal hours there were so much limitations where and when to eat. The buffet was a no go, and almost nothing was on offer for lunch in the YC Grill on the pooldeck. Particularly disappointing to read that the lunch on Ocean Cay was bad. But next time I'm much better prepared and I will for sure be a more demanding guest than last time. After the cruise on the MSC Grandiosa I've been on Princess Cruises and Azamara Cruises. They do a much better job than MSC and especially Azamara was excellent. No need to preorder the evening before as they have several GF options on their menus every day. Plenty of GF food in the buffet as well and all food is clearly allergy marked. They had a dedicated GF corner for breakfast in the buffetrestaurant. The food was amazing in both the MDR and the buffet. If only MSC could have allergy marked their food in the buffet things would have been much better.

On the Journey they had a range of Elemis products in the SPA and the prices were reasonable 👌

The models sold onboard are souvenir models and not that detailed but they are still a nice souvenir from the cruise. MSC Cruises have really nice and much more detailed shipmodels for sale onboard. According to a thread back in 2013 Azamara didn't sell shipmodels onboard, at least back then. But I can confirm that they now sell beautiful and quite detailed models in the shop onboard for those interested. The price is USD 45. I did buy one last week , as a memory of the cruise onboard the Journey.

My favourite cocktail from the Atlas Bar Menu in The Den onboard the Azamara Journey was the Date Of Cairo. Loved it 👍 What I did miss on the ship was a cozy wine bar 👍

I've just returned home from the Azamara Journey and I'm happy to report that Azamara really offers great gluten free food onboard. They had several gluten free options every evening in the Discoveries Restaurant , both starters, mains and desserts. Plenty of options and no need to preorder meals the evening before. The menus are clearly marked with food allergies. The buffet was excellent and had gluten free pizza as well. Dedicated gluten free bread corner for breakfast. The Patio had delicious gluten free burger buns. Gluten free bread was available in the MDR, Buffet and roomservice. The Mosaic Café had also gluten free snacks. The crew and staff happily answered any food question and their knowledge was in general very good. So, I had a wonderful gluten free cruise experience onboard Azamara and it was totally stress free . Vacation at it's best 👌

Greetings from the Azamara Journey, we have just entered the Adriatic Sea, cruising from Giardini Naxos to Monopoli with expected arrival 1230 AM. This is our first cruise on thr Azamara and I'm happy to report that the cruise is absolutely terrific. The service in Discoveries is excellent and most of the food is very good. Tonight we dine in Aqualina. Did the Prime C a few days ago . Lovely ambiance. I'm impressed by the crew onboard 👏😀 They do a great job. Very friendly and serviceminded. We're very happy cruisers 😀👍

We have used Bob's limo in Rome several times, both to and from Civitavecchia. It's an American/Italian company and their service is excellent 👌 Highly recommended 👍

Good afternoon from Norway, We are booked on the Journey from Nice in August and have already got our travel documents from Azamara. We have also done the online check-in and are ready to sail. However , today we got another email from Azamara with the following information: "All guest documentation, including the pre arrival health questionnaire and proof of vaccination, will be verified and processed" However, the health questionnaire is not included in the travel documents and is nowhere to be found on their website. So, will we get the health questionnaire later on or must it be filled out in the port before embarkation? 🤔 Any answers appreciated 🙏 🙂 norwegiancruiser

That's what I did too, took some weeks before they replied and here is the answer I got : Thank you for contacting the Access Department. Allergies are handled daily on all sailings. We have advised our ship staff of your dietary/allergy needs. Our galley has a separate preparation area away from the main production area to prepare meals for guests with allergies and to avoid cross-contamination of the meals. Our Food and Beverage Staff attend recurring training programs regarding allergy protocols. We are pleased to advise you that Azamara Cruises offers Gluten Free meals as a standard offering on our menus in the main dining room. When you eat in the buffet, please ask for a manager so they can arrange to get a meal from the galley. This will avoid any cross contamination that may occur at the buffet. When eating in specialty restaurants or other food venues, it is important to advise our staff of the allergies.
