  1. Whale watching in Juneau -- Jayleen's Alaska Whale watching in Icy Strait -- Glacier Wind We have been out with both independent tour companies and always had a great experience. We are looking forward to our two 2023 whale watching excursions with Jayleen and one 2023 whale watching excursion with Glacier Wind.
  2. Still nothing? When I emailed Allen Marine I received a response from ndavis at Allen Marine dot com. Her title is office manager at Juneau.
  3. 2024 Alaska cruises are already posted.
  4. We are on the Crown Princess to Alaska in July and the Ovation to Alaska in August. Both of our itineraries include Victoria --- wonder if we will also be impacted. And if so, how long will it take before we find out?
  5. Glacier Wind Whale Watching excursion is our first choice when we visit the port.
  6. I took a look at your itinerary and noticed that the excursion to Hubbard was not being offered for your Hubbard sailing date. I wonder if you were going a week later if the timing would have worked. When I emailed Allen Marine about the Hubbard excursion I did so in the early morning and received a return email later on that same day --- hope you get an answer today.
  7. I'm sorry. Wish the excursion timing was better for you.
  8. Sorry, I have been away for a few days and just catching up on posts that are directed to me. For the Hubbard excursion, I just kept checking our cruise until it showed up as an available option.
  9. Thanks everyone for the replies about the app vs website check in. For check in, can I check both my husband and myself in together --- on the website I have already put down the information showing he is my travel companion. Or, does he have to check in under his account?
  10. I don't think anyone has answered this part of my question yet --- can you check in on line (via computer) or do you have to do it through the app? If the app, is it user friendly? I have only used the Princess app (hit and miss) and Royal Caribbean (user friendly).
  11. Thanks. Would love to go on the Tracy Arm excursion but don't think it will be running during the time we are cruising as we are going early season (5/4/24). Tracy Arm as well as Hubbard Wilderness Explorer are two of our favorite excursions. We realize that excursions may be limited by going too early in the season but the itinerary is so unique to us that we decided on booking anyway. Alaska is our happy place!
  12. Thank you for your post. Yes, I have already signed myself and my husband up for our Carnival accounts. And, thank you so much for the information on "faster to the fun" -- I just heard someone mention it on a blog but I didn't get to hear the entire recording to know what it was all about. I will definitely be checking into it. Since we will be sailing from Seattle, would we find the shore excursion under Seattle???
  13. We have never sailed on Carnival but we have sailed extensively on other lines. Yesterday, I found a nice itinerary to Alaska that we want to try so I went ahead and booked the cruise on Carnival. I have a couple of questions for you kind folks: Since we are new to Carnival, I assume that we won't have the best boarding times -- correct? How soon are boarding times available and where would I find them --- online or do I need to go through an app? How soon are itinerary excursions available? Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.
  14. We did the same last year. I was able to purchase a computer with my gift cards and also received a generous cash back bonus for purchasing my cruises.
  15. Agree with Coral, Tracy Arm boat excursion is much better than Misty Fjord. Loved seeing the "bergs" up close and personal. To me, and this is just my opinion, Misty Fjord was not as impressive as Tracy Arm.
  16. Agree, the ride is beautiful especially if there is still snow on the journey.
  17. If you are on the Majestic, the only boat tour off the ship would be Hubbard.
  18. Recently, I have heard of cases where people have asked for their cabins to not be upgraded and Princess has indeed moved them. Ever since I heard of this happening, I check my cabin selection every couple of days.
  19. Keeping fingers crossed that it all works out for you.
  20. I'm sorry. So, you finally decided on a cruising date? Is it for 2023? What ship and itinerary? We originally had a Celebrity 7-day May 2024 cruise booked. After checking with Allen Marine, we decided that we would rebook to a Princess 14-day in June for 2024. The change will allow us to take the Hubbard Glacier tour (fingers crossed). Keep checking your excursions, it might magically pop up.
  21. For anyone that might be wondering about the timing of the Allen Marine Hubbard Excursion, I reached out to the company with regard to a Princess excursion that I am interested in doing. Here is the response I received: "Thank you for your interest in our Hubbard Glacier & Wilderness Exploration Tour. Our Hubbard Glacier tour season operates mid-end of May and runs thru mid-September. We also have to be aware of ice conditions that remain that early in the season, which could affect the dates we are able to get the boat out there safely. We do offer this tour thru Princess Cruise lines but on select itineraries. You can check if it is available for your ship when booking on their website."
  22. I didn't realize that the Radiance offered this excursion. What month are you sailing in 2023?
  23. OOPS -- Just noticed that I somehow entered the wrong excursion amount in post #5 above. The correct Princess Hubbard excursion cost is $299.95.
  24. Wow, the regular pricing is so expensive on Celebrity. We are only paying $299.95 per person on our Princess cruise.
