I said I don't believe they'll sail in October. There is much to be done before they can sail. They won't get the recommendations from the task force until end of August and then they still need to implement and get CDC approval. Sadly, I believe that will take more than a month.

Me too - I guess we are just 'doomed' to not sail the rest of this year - but man oh man - that last 55 days was awesome wasn't it?  ❤️  Miss you both

Esahuma -  are you sure Grandeur is cancelled through Oct 31?  We have an 11 night Oct 29 and I don’t think it was cancelled. I wish it was cancelled so I could get my money back in 6 months!🤣

I did mis-speak  by 2 days - Your cruise on 29 Oct will be the first cruise on Grandeur to sail IF it goes at all this year 😞

Anyone have an update on Voyager of the Seas? It seems like she, along with Grandeur of the Seas, are the only ships who haven't been deployed during summer 2020. I am only really focused on news on Royal Caribbean deploying Voyager of the Seas to Los Angeles.

Grandeur sailings have been postponed through 31 October 2020 😞

Here is the day two vlog by @ROYAL CARIBBEAN DUDE

Thank you so much for sharing - we disembard Radiance to fly home after 44 days onbaord and found out later the next day that everyone had to disembark and get back to the their home countries -

We appreciate all of the crew for the RCL family and pray that you all stay safe - ALSO - will you get assigned to the larger passenger cabins?  That would sure be nice!  I know Captain Kate on Celebrity announced that all crew will be moving into larger quarters!

Good morning -- is this thread still active, or has another one been started?  I've lost track.  Since there are no new deployments to speak of, perhaps we are all taking a summer break. I'm still waiting for Hawaii/Alaska in spring, 2021.

    TYIA for any clarification.

Hello Karen - we are waiting for British Isles 2021 to be release alo - Hope this find you happy and Healthy!  🙂

It is Ovation’s 5 year dry dock. Probably not extensive but fairly major. They will need to service all of the internal systems as well as refresh the public spaces.

well - whatever dry dock - I am keeping a positive outlook - besides - we love Asia - if we do have tickets booked and this maybe turns upside down - we will hop onto a couple 5 days cruises - love - to go to those ports again out of Singapore like we did on Mariner!  🙂

    Hello everyone!

I started low to no carb eating 6 weeks ago today.  so far, I have lost 8.3 pounds and a LOT of inches.  The first week was rough as I found myself craving all the carbs, sugar etc...but once I got over that hump, I really haven't had any issues.  I allow Sunday to be my cheat day.  I do not go crazy, but I do allow myself things I don't ever have during the week.  I am 54 and have noticed it takes a bit longer for the weight to come off.  I am walking at least 4 evenings a week ranging from 2-3 miles.  I have more energy and am sleeping much better and amazed at just generally how much better I feel.  I like to think I made a decision to make a lifestyle change and not a diet.  I cruise in 36 days and am not going to deprive myself of the foods I love.  I will however, eat them in moderation lol

Wishing everyone on this thread major success in their journey!

    Happy Cruising everyone!

CONGRATULATIONS!  Happy Cruising to you also - we leave again tomorrow for 7 days the Caribbean on Summit out of San Juan! 🙂

  9. Just returned home - left 27 Feb and10 days in Buenos Aires - B2B on Eclipse around S. America for 29 days - I did gain 5 POF mostly from drinking (no carb vodka and sprite zero) but I did eat a couple of desserts and a little pasta and a few slices of bread -

SO NOW - I am doing extended fasting (EF) for at least 7 days -should take care of it but we leave again for 7 days Summit cruise in 10 days!  lol 🙂

I tend to fast on days I'm flying. Good excuse not to eat to avoid airport/airline food.  If I do eat I usually take some almonds and home made beef jerky to eat on the plane. That works for me.

Even so, I tend to gain 5 lbs or more while flying. Don't know if it's water retention or what but it usually drops off within a couple days of being home.

    Same here!  🙂

I've now been on keto for 14 months. Just returned from a cruise and pretty much stayed on keto the whole time. Did a lot of walking and took the stairs mostly. I was up 7 lbs when I got home but lost it in three days of being home and back to my normal way of eating. I've noticed that when I travel by plane I tend to hold onto weight. It drops off in a couple days normally.

Same here with the weight from Booze and flying - The only time I go off LCHF or Keto is on flights - we don't usually have much to eat on planes and we did have a 1 hour stay at the Admiral Club at JFK - then did fasting for 24 hours and right back to Keto - we have an Airbnb here in Buenos Aires so breakfast was 1 egg - ham - cheese salami - and IF until dinner - now able to stay Keto!  🙂
