New to Celebrity here so I am going to attempt some clarification. Are you saying Celebrity now or has in the past allowed two bottles of wine PER PERSON to board with them or is it two bottles of wine PER CABIN? We're not taking the drink package as we could never consume even half of the money's worth per day but an extra bottle of wine, shared with friends on our deck, would be nice to have.

Just did some Googling and found a nice hotel out by the airport. (Blue Lagoon) Much less expensive than in town near the cruise port yet still only a 15-20 drive to cruise port. We can deal with that. It will reduce the lack of sleep and the stress level of trying to get through the Monday morning rush hour added onto the 3-1/2 hour drive down. BTW, I highly recommend PriceLine for booking a hotel. They have what is called "PriceBreak" and will offer three hotels at a highly discounted rate. Read the fine print but it might work in your favor.

We live just south of Daytona Beach. It's about a 3-1/2 hour drive to Port of Miami and even with that short drive, we are considering driving down south another two hours or so and staying overnight to avoid the additional morning traffic in Miami. We've not booked anything yet but somewhere between Ft. Lauderdale and Miami will be our first choice. If we find something, we'll let you know and you can then decide. BTW, we will most definitely park in the cruise port.

What is the advantage of booking on the ship instead of directly with the cruise line. More cruise credits?

I'm coming in closer from Daytona area, about 3-1/2 hours. Is there more than one parking garage specifically for the cruise terminals? Do you need to make a reservation or pay on arrival? Any guarantee there is parking available? Is it in a garage or open lot?

My recent problems with Princess website is that they fail to let me get through to the area of locating the cabin I wish to book. Everything up to that point works OK. I won't book a cruise without knowing where my cabin is. "Reserve a Guarantee Stateroom." In the meantime, and after two weeks of this frustration, I have booked a lovely cruise with Celebrity. Princess just may have lost a good customer as I have Elite status and had a loyal following for Princess.
