  1. Walgreen's Pharmacy at 1561 JFK Boulevard in Jersey City & their location at 1080 Broadway in Bayonne both offer the rapid naat test. The rapid antigen test is not available. CVS Pharmacy at 59 Washington Street in Hoboken offers the rapid antigen test. If you are without a car, the Hudson Bergen light rail travels between the 3 cities.
  2. From the New Jersey Turnpike use exit 14 A. Note that there are exits numbered 14, 14 A, 14 B & 14 C. For Cape Liberty cruise terminal in Bayonne use exit 14 A. After paying the toll at exit 14 A, stay to the left, follow the sign for 440 'Chosin Few Way'. You will go up a ramp, stay to the right & exit onto 'Chosin Few Way' where it splits with 440. Once on Chosin Few Way, go to the end, turn left onto Goldsborough Drive. The terminal is about 2 miles away. The road is very bumpy & the paint on road distinguinshing the one lane in each direction is faint. As you approach the terminal, the road will expand to 2 entry lanes. Traffic personnel will stop cars just in front of the terminal to direct them to open spaces at the luggage drop zone. All vehicles must pass by the luggage zone whether they stop to drop luggage or bypass it to go to the parking garage or lots. It is best for you to exit at the luggage zone. Your luggage will be taken and you will have a short walk(to your left) to the terminal entrance. Because 3 ships are sailing from Bayonne, the parking garage and surface parking lots are being used. Some of these surface lots are, in my opinion, very far from the terminal. Reports have been that handicap are prioritized to park in the garage. I was allowed to park in the garage in May (without handicap plates), I had expected I would be told to park in the open lots. If you do not have handicap plates/placard, you may be assigned to park in the surface lots. Take the parking ticket with you on the ship. If you are in the garage, you pay for parking upon disembarking. You will pass through facial recognition in the terminal, then go right to exit the building. There are machines to pay for parking outside the terminal & employees will be there to assist. After paying, you will then wait in a line to use the one working elevator in the garage. Keep the payment stub/ticket to use to raise the gate exiting the garage (if I remember correctly). Some who have parked in the lots have reported they paid on arrival day not disembarkation day. Some have said they paid on disembarkation. Easiest route back to the NJTP will be via Chosin Few Way. There will not be a sign directing drivers to the NJTP. There should be a street sign. Turn right on Chosin Few Way (Costco should be visible from the intersection) and follow signs for NJTP. If you do not have EZ Pass and have to get a paper ticket, be aware there is one lane that has the ticket dispenser at the height of a tractor trailer window, not a car window. I suggest arriving at Cape Liberty by 10:45 am, thus the only slight wait you should have would be by the luggage zone. In years past, traffic formed from 11 am onward. I do think with the new boarding appointment times it has reduced the traffic leading to the terminal. I arrived at 12:35 in May without incurring traffic. Chosin Few Way is the best route upon exiting the NJTP though route 440 and Avenue E all lead to the cruise port, just not as easy as the Chosin Few Way route. If you miss the turn at Chosin Few Way on the way back, you could turn right on 440 (at the traffic light) and it will take you to the NJTP. At the terminal, there is only 1 entry point. There will be 2 roped lanes, 1 for suite & key members & parents with unvaccinated kids, the other for all other guests. When you get to the entry ask the employee which scheduled times are allowed in as too many wait on line earlier than their scheduled time. I had an early entry time in December, cruisers with mobility issues regardless of appointment time were allowed in as there were no more than 30 people waiting and all of us were allowed in within the first 10 minutes, otherwise appointment times are enforced at Cape Liberty. he best & easiest route would be via Chosin Few Way.
  3. A very helpful video on You Tube shows disembarking the ferry at Red Hook with the short walk to the cruise ship. Enter 'traveling to brooklyn cruise terminal by ferry' in the YT search bar.
  4. You can use a computer along with the app to provide the information required. If I remember correctly, an email was sent with the qr code. When our ship arrived in Canada, no one visting the port was asked for any information regarding Arrivecan. I have read many posts also stating nothing was asked for when visiting Canadian ports.
  5. There is no public transportation to/from the terminal building. Public transportation is available within 3 miles of Cape Liberty via the Hudson Bergen light rail station at 34th Street in Bayonne. Ride service to and from the light rail station to the terminal is necessary. I would recommend the public transit option for those with backpack or carry on size luggage. Handling more or larger size luggage would make the public transit option challenging.
  6. Would have been impossible to as Adventure of the Seas was not sailing from Bayonne in February. The ship repositioned from Galveston in May.
  7. You would not take Amtrak into New York City Penn Station. It would be better and cheaper to use New Jersey Transit trains, which run more frequently. Do not get confused by Newark Penn Station & NY Penn Station, your destination is the latter with a short cab ride to the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. Assuming you are driving 80 east. Look at cities serviced by NJ Transit trains 'Morristown line' & 'Montclair - Boonton lines'. The cities of Morristown, Denville & Wayne, to start with. Much closer to NYC would be the area near the Meadowlands sports complex, Rutherford, East Rutherford & Secaucus with train & NJ Transit bus service to the Port Authority bus terminal in Manhattan, again a cab ride to the cruise terminal. Hilton Garden Inn & Hampton Inn in Ridgefield Park NJ pre covid offered cruise/park/sleep packages which included transport to the Manhattan terminal. There was a hotel in North Bergen NJ that also offered the package but I do not recall which.
  8. On Enchantment in April, a crepe station at dinner was was available almost all 12 nights of the cruise. It was the only ship I have sailed that brought made to order eggs to your table during breakfast hours.
  9. When the driver pulls up to the terminal he will stop at the luggage zone which is where you will get out with a short walk to the entrance. There is one entrance. At the entrance is one lane for suite & key members. I have seen parents with children who need to be tested also use this lane. All others will will use the other entry lane. Unfortunately, many will be in line earlier than their assigned boarding time causing the line to extend far back. I suggest you go to the entry point and ask the attendant who is able to line up. Once I was told groups with 3 different entry times were allowed entry. Once inside the terminal, there is no special section for emerald. Look for the shortest line or go where told to go. On disembarkment, facial recognition is used. Exit the terminal to your left, once outside go right to the pick up zone for car services. Overhead numbers will indicate zones 2-10, for you to inform your driver where you are. The last zone is #10, it is closest to the parking garage entry doors & elevator. Zone 10 is also for those using taxi, they must cross the 2 crosswalks on the road to the lot for the taxi dispatcher. The Tear Drop Memorial is very close to the luggage zone. It was given by Russia in remembrance of September 11. It can be seen from the ship. If you have time to wait before your assigned entry, you might want to visit the memorial. There are benches outside the terminal but not enough for all who arrive early and must wait until their assigned time.
  10. That statement, your assumption, is false. The parking garage is not reserved only for Oasis sailings. I was on Adventure in late May, a mid week sailing. Oasis & Summit had departed days earlier. I was directed to park in the garage. Earlier arriving cruisers were directed to surface lots, those of us who arrived after noon parked in the garage and there will some open parking spaces on the top level when the ship departed.
  11. You will wait in traffic, when it occurs, be it your vehicle or a hired one. The last 2 miles of the approach to the terminal at Cape Liberty is not well paved and poorly marked. Immediately in front of the terminal, the road expands to two lanes. All vehicles must pass by the luggage drop zone, regardless if they stop to utilize it, before going to the parking garage or parking lots. Due to autos being stopped until spots in the luggage zone become available, this causes traffic. There is no traffic, no back up if you arrive before 10:45. People expect to arrive at the time of their preference or most convenient to them and expect to not be delayed. If you arrive outside of your preferred arrival time you wont encounter traffic. I have sailed 5 times from Bayonne since last October and the new scheduled boarding appointment times has greatly reduced the vehicle backups I witnessed in previous years. My last cruise I arrived at 12:35, encountered no delay except for the usual wait pre luggage zone. Much to my surprise, I was directed to park in the garage, which was not allowed for drivers who had arrived earlier that day. When the ship departed, there will spaces available on the top deck of the garage, this being with 3 ships sailing out of Bayonne that week.
  12. Liberty sailed out of Bayonne in 2015, glad to see it is returning.
  13. 2019 was the only time I used A2S. One way flight home from Amsterdam, $900 first class, which was a significant saving. Yesterday I called for 1 way flights in 2023 from Europe. I provided 3 different airports on various dates. The price A2S quoted, from all 3 airports, was more than what I found online. I was certain I was dealing with a new employee who was quoting me incorrect prices. I called back, checked on 1 flight and received the same quote I was originally told. Not what I expected, surprised and disappointed at the prices A2S gave.
