  1. Diamond drink vouchers cannot be used at stand alone Starbucks kiosks.
  2. 2 posters who recently sailed Oasis have responded cans of Coke Zero are available which is what you asked. You did not ask if the cans of Coke Zero were seen. I didn't always 'see' cans of Coke Zero but I always got a can of Coke Zero when asked except in the WJ at lunch. You can use your diamond drink vouchers for other cans of soda as well. Because cans are not seen does not mean they are not available. Diamond drink vouchers were also good for Vitality Cafe shakes and Johnny Rockets shakes.
  3. I was on the same October 16 Oasis sailing as you were and the ship did not sail right by her. The back of the statue is visible from the ship while it is docked at Cape Liberty. If that is your definition of sailing right by her, it is wrong and misleading especially to the OP who is not from this country and was asking if they might experience sailing by the statue which is an impressive sight. You drove from New Hampshire, which is north of the statue, and you ended your driving in Bayonne which is south of the statue. There is more accuracy and honesty in saying you drove by the statue, despite never having seen it from the route you took than saying you have "sailed right by the Statue of Liberty" on every of your departures from Bayonne. Hopefully the OP knows the correct answer to their question from all the helpful responses.
  4. On Oasis 10/9 & 10/16. Only venue I had trouble getting a can of Coke Zero was the Windjammer at lunch. Everywhere else I asked had it in stock.
  5. Now that you sailed from Bayonne and did not go past the SoL, realize how fortunate you were and recognize that cruises from Bayonne that divert to the statue are the exception not the rule. 13 cruises from Bayonne and 15 by years end, still only once did we go by the statue.
  6. Playmakers showed Penn State vs Michigan on the 16th & Ohio State vs Iowa last Saturday. I saw part of 1 of those games in my cabin broadcast on Royal's Prime One channel (channel 16?). The Navy & Tennessee games were on ESPN channels.
  7. I believe it was members of the Hamilton family whose seats were being saved by the Royal employee.
  8. I second South Beach. It is the first tram stop. Snack Shack and restroom located close to the tram stop. The bar is located at the other end of the beach near the towel station.
  9. There was a tram from the ship directly to the beach club in December 2021, I know because I got on it by mistake. I was on Oasis the past 2 weeks with calls at Coco Cay. There did not appear to be a tram specifically for the beach club. The island trams stopped there but no express service from the ship. Was told that due to heavy rain storms the day prior, there was no tram service from the ship to the island.
  10. In this case it is obvious who is to blame...the cruise line!😆
  11. Benny, outstanding photos of the ice show. As to the first 4 rows being reserved D+, Key, etc, I was told the same on October 14. The attendant removed the rope, I proceeded to one of those 4 rows. He then told me that those seats were reserved despite the first 8 being unoccupied. This was the employee telling me this not a seat saver. I reminded him of the no reserve policy, he repeated his statement. I sat in another row. Soon after the announcement was made of no reserving of seats, the employee did not look in my direction. I'll just say the employee who told me those seats were reserved was well rewarded by the parent/grandparent of the late arriving family members. Beware! 😃
  12. I thought you were traveling on a Sunday but it is a Friday morning. A 10 am weekday flight would cause stress for me despite the airport being about 10 miles from Cape Liberty. Just got off Oasis on Sunday, definitely do self assist and have a pre arranged ride. I used taxi service from Cape Liberty December 2021 and it was not well organized. Some cruisers who were waiting 30 minutes were still waiting when the taxi I used departed. After facial recognition, exit the terminal to the left then walk right to the car services pick up zone. There are overhead hanging numbers to identify your location. If you do use taxi, you must walk to zone 10 then cross 2 crosswalks to the taxi pick up area.
  13. Agreed. While I could have and did drive more than 9 hours in the 70's & 80's, I would not attempt nor enjoy anything more than 6 hours in a car today. My suggestion was if they do make it to Jersey. Too many drivers spend the night pre cruise in the Newark area whereas Parsippany is a much better choice imo.
  14. Received my Enchantment block earned in March on October 11 while I was on Oasis. Luckily a neighbor took them inside her house.
  15. Exactly, nor is it the responsibility of posters to provide such expertise. The limit of $800 is printed on the departure sheet that every cabin gets. A simple inquiry of guest services would have been the course of action I would have taken, then again I consider myself responsible. On the 16th consecutive cruisers were held in the terminal for maybe 10-15 minutes as opposed to immediately reboarding. Eventually a group of about 6 came out from the same corridor exiting guests had used. Someone at the front of the consecutive cruiser line yelled out, 'get a watch', which was well received by the line. After another couple came through that corridor, only then were consecutive cruisers allowed back on board. I know. I was there!
  16. Exited Oasis on Sunday. Surprised to see 6 different sports stations, included among them ESPN ESPNU ESPN SEC Sky Sports. The Fox Saturday noon kickoff Big 10 games were also shown.
  17. Multiple Sunday games, Monday & Thursday night games were shown on Oasis the past 2 weeks.
  18. Cardinals-Saints game was broadcast last week on Oasis.
  19. Nor did they look at the departure information left in the cabin which states "guests are subject to the customs allowance of their country. US guests(returning to the US) purchases up to $800. A simple inquiry at guest services would have avoided all the drama. It is called personal responsibility.
  20. Checking my expenses on the tv was how I found a false charge made to my account on a recent Oasis cruise. Beware🤣
  21. If you are driving 80 east look at Parsippany, Rockaway and Morristown, all in NJ. The first two should be less expensive lodging than Morristown and offer numerous dining choices on route 46. You will be at most 60 minutes from Cape Liberty.
  22. Did consecutive cruises on Enchantment in the spring. Despite being short staffed, the service on the first cruise was outstanding perhaps the best I have encountered on Royal. The second cruise had an additional 300 passengers which negativity impacted service.
  23. Smallest diamond lounge I have seen. The chairs are placed too close together and the service area for food is ridiculously tiny.
  24. Same situation on October 9. Adventure September 1 sailing, boarding times were being more strictly enforced.
