MSC Divina December 28 to January 7, 2024. B2B in the YC
ConnieTact replied to jean87510's topic in MSC Cruises
Recently on Euribia, it was on a day that lots of Germans got onboard in Hamburg. It was a Monday and Gala night. On Virtuosa, it was the day we boarded in Southampton. Best to just go to the Perfume and Make up shop and ask. They often have an offer of two items for 10%, 2 for 15% and 3 for 20%. So that’s fine if you want three items. They also do a 20% off day (even for one item) once a week. Also, for loyalty members there is a spend $50 and get $10 off on boarding day. -
Thanks for all the detail in your report. It’s really interesting. (You know, I am intrigued about the trout vomit delicacy now! Wish you had taken a photo! 😂) I was imagining that nothing would be included in the tea place so it’s good news to hear we can have a cuppa in there included in our drinks package. Is this true of the champagne bar too? We have Premium extra package (up to €14) so hope we can get a glass in there or just pay the difference if not. glad you enjoyed Masters of the Sea pub. I think it’ll be where we enjoy the ship entertainment the most, although we love shows too. Enjoy Malta! It’s so beautiful there.

Bid Upgrade Question for Newer MSC Cruiser (only been on 1 MSC cruise)

Which ship are you going on? I’ve been in YC on Grandiosa, Virtuosa and Euribia all have been brilliant! About to go on YC World Europa next week. I’m sold on the product! 😊 -
Meet & Mingle 13 january 2024
ConnieTact replied to Rockyworldtravel's topic in MSC World Europa Roll Calls
The best way to have a VIP experience on MSC is to travel in yacht club! There will be a cocktail party where all the officers are introduced. Often there is no Meet and Mingle on MSC as the sailings pick up and drop off people at each port, like a bus. Its up to individuals to arrange a Meet and Mingle. I’ve done this before on previous trips but not this one. We board on the 12th! Not long now. Enjoy! -

Great. May be worth just leaving Pepe a note to say you want to see him with feedback. My MSC miracles often happen after contacts such as this! 😅 Enjoy your cruise! -

Wow, it sounds like you had to work really hard to get good service from butlers and concierge! I would escalate to YC director, just to feedback your experience so far. He should show interest and take notes and sort things for you. I’m sure as you missed out re Butchers Cut he will be able to swing something for this cruise rather than you wait for the next one. As you said, it is from their error not yours. You’ve done well to spell it out to both butlers so, now hopefully, you can enjoy improved service. -

I do wonder though about the waiters in the section that you first sat in. It is them that need to have their lack of service addressed. If the manager isn’t told they cannot do anything about it. Yes, if you give a second chance, that’s great if you end up sitting somewhere else but, the people sitting in the original place still have the inattentive waiters! 😅 I always feedback in a very friendly way with both positive and negative. Im enjoying your review so far! -
New to MSC - How to get Free Specialty Dining for Diamond Member
ConnieTact replied to Dede F's topic in MSC Cruises
You can’t book before you board. Wait until you are on the ship, book a speciality restaurant and say you want to use your diamond meal credit and they’ll tell you what you can order from the menu. which ship are you going on? -
MSC World Europa Chef’s Garden Kitchen -What’s on the menu?
ConnieTact replied to ConnieTact's topic in MSC Cruises
Thanks Maria63 that’s good information. I think we may give Hola Tacos a try. I’m fed up with Butchers Cut. I don’t eat much meat and the salmon is the only fish offering (without paying extra). TBH this may end up being another perk we don’t end up using as YC food is too good to miss! If we find that Hola Tacos is available for a lunch we could just try for a change! Thanks again and Happy Christmas! -
Again, I too, hope your husband has recovered. This sounded like an awful thing to happen. if only I knew about this, when we were on the ship, I would have asked onboard (we were there 1-8 Dec.) As you said, they are really helpful onboard but less so when dealing with Customer services when off the ship. I wonder if anyone onboard now, could talk to customer services to investigate what happened to your stuff? They would know what they would have done with it and may even remember you. Just a thought and ‘putting out there’ for any helpful person sailing on Euribia now.

MSC World Europa Chef’s Garden Kitchen -What’s on the menu?
ConnieTact replied to ConnieTact's topic in MSC Cruises
I’ll do a live report in January, with lots of food pictures. We’re in YC and the food is always great in there. We only ‘eat out’ at a lunch time for the complimentary speciality dine (mostly Butchers Cut but last time it was in Il Campo on Euribia). We also enjoy the pizzas we get from Room service (also included in YC price). We really like Italian food so always the pasta options too. -
I agree that it’s best to buy in advance. It is for wash and fold service (but not ironing). It’s great on a longer break or if travelling light, but now I just it wash when I get home!

MSC World Europa Chef’s Garden Kitchen -What’s on the menu?
ConnieTact posted a topic in MSC Cruises
We will be in this ship in three weeks time and we have a complimentary dine as diamond members. We are used to taking them in Butchers Cut but, with this new offering we are thinking if a change! Does anyone have a menu for the restaurant? I looked online and can’t find anything. has anyone dined there and if so, can you me know what you thought of it. MrCT not keen on fish, so I’m wondering what he may find. Thanks in advance! -
I like them both! We’ve been on Virtuosa five times so it was refreshing to have a few changes. There is no doubt the Carousel on Euribia get extremely busy so getting there early is a much if you want to sit down. We only went along a couple of times but depending on the type of music played, I enjoyed it. I loved the Big Band disco party! There’s a lot on offer onboard with this addition because if not your thing, there are still parties in the atrium and other music offerings around the ship. As I don’t eat much meat, I do struggle with Butchers Cut and Le Grill offering with the package. It worked out well for me to choose three side dishes as my main. Virtuosa charged me for this but Euribia didn’t. We always go at lunchtime and it’s always quiet in these Venus on both ships. Thanks for your kind words re the photos. Happy cruise planning!
