  1. I am so sorry about the confusion. However, we found that being at a table for two may as well have been a table for six. The people next to us on each side were about 12 inches away.
  2. But the vaccination was not required to enter US. The point of this recent discussion was why Canadians had to be vaccinated/ test to enter their own country. Yes, Alaska is in US but it was not required.
  3. ??? But, Vancouver is not in the jurisdiction of the US. Maybe the planet will become more sane after 5/11/23
  4. I think you have the same Naturalist we did last September on the Grand. She was amazing and braved the elements while cheering us on!
  5. We are the next door neighbor to British Columbia. How strange that Canada would require it for their own but not some others, like us.
  6. Thank you. I had no clue. I love Bingo so I may consider this with upcoming cruise in June with 5 sea days.
  7. Good to know! I fear that we will not ever be in that group.
  8. When we docked there in January 2018, there were a few American Coast Guard boats docked as well.
  9. We have enjoyed dinners in the Crowne Grill. I also think their presentations needs improvement. They could at least sprinkle some green parsley around the rim of the dish! Truly!!!
  10. Regardless of your cabin type, you will sign up for disembarkation times. Last September, we signed up to be in the first group to walk off with our own bags which was 7:30 am
  11. @Drdarkknight Thank you so much for sharing this adventure with us! It is really fun to heart about a newbie's experience and reactions for their first cruise. We have enjoyed an Alaska cruise 5 times and I know you will both love it as well. He sure to get out and about looking for whale spouts.
  12. We do not regret doing the full transit which was on the Coral so we went through the old locks. We were able to touch the walls of the locks... They were THAT close!
  13. It is not required. We sailed from Vancouver last September.
  14. On our PC full transit (LA to Ft. Lauderdale), the Pacific was smooth and the seas after the canal to Ft. Lauderdale were not smooth.
  15. Thanks for your response! Personally, I enjoy your comments because you are a "local".
  16. How do you tip your tour guides? I would think that cash would be preferred, and the only way.
  17. @trbarton I waved as you sailed by! We are having fantastic weather right now on the coast. It looks like they were quite responsive to hosting just a private Chef's Table for CC members? We leave June 3 on the Sky for 10 nights. Maybe I will check out the interest. did you just collect names and turn it in to someone upon boarding? What is the cost? Thanks
  18. We often see the same food in the buffet that is on the dining room menu; not everything but many items.
  19. @pkt1976 Thanks so much for sharing! What a great idea for a comedy cruise. We have also enjoyed Carlos Oscar and hope to again. I love that your friends are now also loving cruising.
  20. Most people are surprised and confused about international coverage. Our Advantage Plan covers us internationally (evacuation included!) for a $90.00 co-pay. This is of course not for a routine visit. The Supplemental Plans cover you internationally with a 20% co-pay and a LIFETIME MAXIMUM of 50K. We love our Regence Advantage Plan and it saves us a TON of money, includes dental and prescriptions.
  21. @willow surfside: You stated, "We are considering an Iceland/Norway cruise in August.". My best advice to you is that the shore excursion companies fill up FAST!!!!! Make your decision very soon or wait until Summer 2024. We are going this June and even last year, some of the companies and their tours were already booked. Summer is very busy for Norway and Iceland.
