Why would you want to turn back a perk you earned. If you don't want it give it away or don't use it.Personally I think Princess needs to rethink this. I believe that on cruises shorter than 5 days the minibar set up should be cut in half or eliminated entirely, and on cruises longer than 10 days doubled in size. -
Ok here is a flame. I don't care how your dress, it won't affect my meal. I wouldn't go up to the matre'd and have him follow me and start counting people who were not dressed appropriate enough for you. I do not go to formal, because I do not dress up, but I would not want some Penquin coming down and pointing fingers at whos dress appropiate or not. Eat your meal enjoy your company and don't let someones clothing ruin your dinner, the last I check I don't eat wool or cotton with my meal.
Ditto :)

What ship is your next RCL cruise? Chop's or Portofino is not all that expensive, and even better if you have a coupon. Give it a try, you might just have a good time and like it.
Rick and Deirdra
My next 2 cruises are with Princess then Celebrity and we get complimentary specialty restaurant first night for a full suite on Princess. I have 2 RCL cruises also booked. If I get a Bogo I will try one.
-
No, I've never tried tried the specialty restaurants on RCL. Chef table sounds ridiculously priced so never will try that.
-
A suggestion for the future, when you are changing cabins for any reason have the ship diagram up on your computer and see exactly what cabin they are referring to .

What a TA earns ( or anyone else for that matter) is none of my business. I'm sure they want all the bookings they can get for the volume and perks they receive for that volume.
-
VERY misleading title. You were not upgraded by the upgrade fairy you were SOLD an upsell. It might have been a very reasonable price but it was NOT complimentary as most people hope for. Enjoy your cruise, suites have wonderful perks.
-
Have you called Celebrity to ask, they probably know the answer. The Xpedition was one of the best trips I ever took. It's not like any cruise, more of an adventure. Did you remember to get your 10% off the fare for being an elite member? In the price range you're paying that's a big savings.

Thank you, that answered most of my questions.

There is no picture of this category on the princess web site. It seems there is no whirlpool tub, not a deal breaker for me but is sounds like the bathroom is not like a suite. I grabbed this cabin on the 100% fare as a FCC because it was the last suite available. Also will the balcony be locked because it's a forward cabin making the balcony almost worthless. It is a suite with suite amenities so I'm positive we'll enjoy it but want to know what to expect.

My experience 3 months ago, it will go towards your OBC.

....for males black tie and Speedo and female thong bikini in black or formal colors....
BUT...............if I don't plan to eat in the MDR on formal night can I wear my flip flops with that formal black bikini before I go to the windjammer for dinner?

I didn't know there was a dress code for the CL. As a D+ I don't seem to know what's expected . Would you enlighten me please?suite guests are much more likely to ignore the dress code of the CL. D+, on the other hand, know what's expected and dress and act accordingly. -
Something that seems to be forgotten is that not everyone drinks. I am D+ and order a diet coke if and when I go to the CL. Since i usually buy a soda card it's not really a perk for me. I like the gift I get to pick much better then the CL. I have a few towels, totes and enjoy them for years after my cruise. My next 5 cruises that I have booked has only one RCL cruise, the others are Princess and NCL and Celebrity. I think there are a lot of us cruisers who aren't loyal to anyone but ourselves. I choose a sailing on itinerary, port of departure, price, available balcony cabins, and friends. The perks are the icing on the cake not the reason to pick a cruise line.

Any suggestions or ideas?
Yes, stop worrying about things that are not as important as enjoying your cruise. If you cruise enough it will happen that one day you'll move up the tiers but until then just cruise because you want the vacation.
-
call celebrity, maybe they know.

If I were bumped in or out of an elevator or hit by a ping pong ball I wouldn't even remember it after 10 minutes.
-
If you signed up to Snorkel LESSONS you'd have a valid point
-
There is a misconception that things are free when in fact they are included. Don't think for a minute that all the perks aren't loaded into the fare.
-
I must march to the beat of a different drummer because i don't care about all these tiers. I cruise because i like it. I look to see which cruise has the itinerary, price, departure port and make a decision on those factors. The cruise line must know something about the the masses of people who value status over substance. I enjoy any perks they give me which are quite numerous because i cruise enough . I never consider the tier level or points when i choose a cruise or the cabin.
-
I wonder if they will have the corresponding tier to match what tier you're at on RCL.

Could you order two drinks at once with your vouchers or is it one at a time? Glad you are enjoying these vouchers, I am looking forward to using mine on my next cruise if they use vouchers.
-
I am select dining, so tips are already paid. This sounds like not enough. What extra would you suggest: excellent waiter? Excellent cabin attendant? Just ok waiter/attendant? Who is often ignored? Suggestions, particularly for a holiday cruise?
The cruise line thinks it's just right so why second guess them?
-
You are already charged for great service so you don't have to tip extra unless you really want to. The cruise line has already figured out what is fair and they expect you to get fantastic service so I don't tip extra. It would have to be something way over the top for me to tip twice for the same service.
Upgrade - What would you do

If you get motion sickness do not take a forward cabin. If you're ok with that then take the upgrade.
