  1. @david63 we got our Caribbean Princess account summary on Saturday too, having also disembarked in May 2023. But for our Island Princess cruise that disembarked on 25 August, we got the statement the next day... When I chased Customer Relations for a refund of refundable credits for the May cruise, I was advised that next time I should "cash out" before disembarking - they allow UK-based passengers to do this to avoid the whole refund process afterwards. Then on Island last month, we got a letter in our cabin advising we had refundable credits and we could cash out - so we did, no problem at all.
  2. You can get small (500ml) bottles of water included in the Plus package, still or sparkling. I don't think the larger bottles are included, but since the smaller bottles are unlimited I don't suppose it matters. We tend to pick up two bottles of still water on our way back to the cabin each evening for the next day.
  3. To hopefully give some comfort... We had the "no packages" message in the app right up to boarding Island Princess earlier this month, despite cruise personalizer confirming that we did have the Plus package. No issues onboard at all, so I assume it's just an app problem. Agree that taking the paperwork just in case is a good idea. As above, you should be able to make dining reservations after making final payment, using the app or alternatively there is a link on cruise personaliser to a web-based solution.
  4. That being in addition to the £409pp for the Premium Economy upgrade. So a total of £998 extra for 2 people in Premium Economy including the seat reservations.
  5. We reserved our Premium Economy seats earlier this week for an additional £45 per person per flight - so £180 total (same as stated above for Economy)
  6. Thanks @LA30 our cruise was amazing!
  7. Just wanted to come back to this post to say thanks once again for the P4C recommendations - we've just returned from our cruise and we would definitely recommend them. VERY easy to book and to use, only a short walk from the short stay car park to the terminal, courteous service, text messages delivered as promised, very pleased! And saving over £120 for a 300 metre walk! Perfect.
  8. I'm in the UK, and my TA has always asked if I want to have multiple sets of FCDs applied to the same booking when I've had them in hand - but with the consequence that only one lot of OBC is applied (each) for the booking, and not two (or more). So I've always said no. This has been the case for years here.
  9. This was exactly our opinion before our first Princess cruise in 2010, having travelled extensively with P&O upto that point and loving it every time. We got a ridiculously cheap offer for a round Britain cruise on Crown Princess that summer and never really looked back. P&O is still our choice for Caribbean fly-cruises, mainly due to how much easier the flight arrangements are, but Princess is definitely our preference for the cruise experience.
  10. Much to my wife's disgust, when we first registered with Princess back in 2010 with our P&O cruise history, I was credited with one more cruise than her, which made me really smug in the days when your cruise cards had the number of cruises printed on them 😛 at least she didn't twig that maybe I cruised without her...
  11. 10% discount across the board is great! I just tried the same for the same cruise, I don't have an FCC but got the same prices as you. Not seen this before either.
  12. Totally agree with this. We have been lucky to have 2x 14 night Caribbean cruises in the last year - one on Britannia last November and the other on Caribbean Princess this May. Our Britannia cruise was our first P&O cruise for 6 years, having being "converted" to Princess a few years earlier and having had a bad experience on Azura over a Christmas/New Year cruise. We loved both these cruises and while we still have a slight preference for Princess overall, the included direct charter flights with P&O (from Manchester) are a huge advantage. P&O would be our first choice for our next Caribbean cruise for sure.
  13. You just need to sign up to their marketing - there are links on both these pages: Parking: https://www.manchesterairport.co.uk/parking/ Lounges: https://www.manchesterairport.co.uk/at-the-airport/airport-lounges/
  14. A few years back now, but as a family of 4 with young children, we picked up a taxi from the taxi rank at the entrance to the harbour and did our own thing first to The Little Chapel and then onto the German Underground Hospital, before returning to port. I can't remember the costs but it wasn't expensive (I would have remembered otherwise 😉) and perhaps we spent about 2.5 hours in total. We all really enjoyed our visit, the hospital was fascinating.
  15. We're in the north west of England, near Liverpool. Yesterday's weather was cool, wet and windy - highest temp 61F and this is July 🙂 There are often some warmer days at the time of year you'll be sailing but totally unreliable and I would agree a waterproof coat is a must. Expect temperatures between 55-60F for the northern parts of your cruise, maybe a few degrees higher in the first and last couple of days in the south. And have a great time! Despite being from the UK, we loved our first round-Britain cruise and would love to do it again!
  16. As above, unfortunately no - and quite a few people assume that you would. We had pre-booked a Manchester lounge for our flights back in November last year, and had to wait 25 mins in a queue while two family groups argued rather heatedly to get in (without success). As Thejuggler said above, sign up to the airport email and you'll probably get offers for parking and lounges every couple of weeks.
  17. I saw this a few years back on an Azura cruise (c. 2016?) - tickets with a 30-min expiry were being pinned to vacant sunbeds by deck attendants, and if they were still unoccupied after the time had elapsed, all personal belongings and towels were removed to a table near the bar. It only lasted a couple of sea days and then just stopped without notice (and I've no idea why although I have my suspicions...).
  18. Exactly this. If you wait to get home, there is a different offer with a lower OBC amount. My circumstance related to a failed attempt to purchase FCD onboard and because I left it late in the cruise, I didn't get the chance to follow up before disembarking - and as a result, PCL weren't willing/able to honour the enhanced rate for purchasing FCD onboard. Lesson learned - I now book FCDs as soon as I'm onboard!
  19. It has never been like that for me - I've always purchased FCD while onboard at £75pp and always got the rates in USD shown in the image above (i.e. $100 obc for 14 day balcony cabin). But after my attempt to purchase FCD on Sky Princess last summer failed, I followed up after returning home and only got the "back home" rate of $60 obc - still paying £75 FCD. My latest FCD purchased onboard is back up to $100 obc.
  20. I think the above is still valid for purchasing FCD while onboard, the $60 (for me at least) was for a 14 night cruise in a balcony cabin after following up an FCD after returning home
  21. This might be just for the UK passengers, but the OBC offered from a Future Cruise Deposit is different (lower) if you take the offer after returning home rather than when onboard. I had a similar situation to the OP - I tried to book 2xFCD through the app onboard Sky towards the end of our cruise last summer, but it wasn't processed. I followed up with shoreside after returning home and whilst they could process my FCDs, they couldn't/wouldn't apply the same level of benefit as booking these onboard. So I got $60x2 OBC for a balcony cabin instead of the $100x2 OBC that would have been given... So now we apply for FCDs as soon as we board and check that they have been processed.
  22. Here's what the Carnival shareholder benefit Ts & Cs say: Employees, travel agents cruising at travel agent rates, interline rates, tour conductors or anyone cruising on a reduced-rate or complimentary basis are excluded from this offer. I'm wondering what "reduced-rate" actually means here, given how often prices change and how I understand travel agents are usually able to offer some small discount against the list price... I suppose technically any small additional discount could result in being denied the OBC...
  23. I'm really surprised to hear this - I would have thought that OBC would only be denied if you were actually the travel agent taking advantage of offers they must get, or friends & family of P&O staff. Definitely ask your travel agent to help explain - and please let us know how it goes!
  24. It doesn't look like it I'm afraid. I tried to do this for a couple of 2025 cruises, but as soon as I request an accessible cabin on the first screen of booking, I'm advised to call P&O directly. From what I can see, the accessible cabins also aren't indicated on the deck plans in the booking process (I checked cabin B426 on Britannia for the 2025 cruise and there was no indicator there).
  25. For anyone still struggling: 1. Click Book now for the cruise you're interested in 2. Choose number of guests and click Continue 3. Find your preferred type of cabin (accepting that these are "from" prices, with balcony prices being fully obstructed, but at least each type is shown here) and then click Choose this cabin 4. Make sure the Select Price option is selected and click Book now 5. In the Your cabins section, click 6. Then select I'll choose my cabin location (I think these options were previously the other way around on the screen!) 7. Et voila! A whole deck at a time showing all the available cabins for the chosen cabin type: Also showing if there is an additional cost for other decks: I like it - I spend far too much time checking availability like this so this is a great improvement for me at least.
