  1. Luckily, I have found ways to make things work without contacting "customer service". Just a thought on your medallions - if you have time - we had good luck ordering our medallions using the "web version" of the app that is in cruise personalizer on the Princess website. The app on my phone says that I still have to order my medallions but our order shows up correctly in the "web version". If your order is not correct in the "web version" you can cancel it and try again. I hope this helps!
  2. Princess and HAL have cruised Alaska the longest so they tend to have better itineraries and longer port stays. Haven't done HAL but we did Princess and thought it was wonderful. Very Alaska focused. They have a naturalist on board that does presentations during the week and points out things along the way. While you are in Glacier Bay they bring Park Rangers on board to narrate what you are seeing. If you have a National Park Passport book you can get it stamped. They sell a 300 page book that comes with a map that follows the route your ship will take and it highlights good places to see wildlife and other points of interest that you will see between the ports. I hope this helps!
  3. I also have to use my booking number. My username and password have not worked on the app or the website for months. I have called twice and they tell me they will open a ticket and someone will get back to me but i have never heard back from anyone.
  4. Thanks for the help! I'm sure one of these will work for us!
  5. If I was you I would book through NCL or I would just go to town and do the walking tour and I would plan to catch one of the earlier shuttles back. I have heard where the shuttles fill up and you have to wait for a later one. I hope this helps!
  6. True - the latest he has ever showed up is July 22 - we will be there on July 21 so I hope he is a little early!
  7. Same - I have been watching since 2016! When I saw this cruisetour I knew I had to do it! I sure hope Otis shows up again this year!
  8. Did you try to log in using your booking number? I couldn't do it with userid and password but booking number works. I was able to do it before I was paid in full. I hope this helps!
  9. We are doing the same cruisetour in July. I can't wait!
  10. They sell a 300 page book on board that follows the route your ship takes and it comes with a map. It's great because it provides information on what you can see between the ports. It points out areas that are good for wildlife sightings and other points of interest.
  11. Just found the other one and that might be doable! Thanks!
  12. Google maps says that is 3.6 miles away!
  13. You can book your reservations in the app and one of the options is "shared table". I hope this helps!
  14. It is $30 for a 24 hour period so you can get to partial days for $30. I hope this helps!
  15. I thought of that but they close at 3 and we won't be there yet.
  16. This shows the dining venues by type across the fleet and pictures of the Premium desserts. There is no charge for the buffet. Casual dining venues on Emerald are Planks (BBQ), The Salty Dog (pub), Steamers (seafood) and Vines (charcuterie). Steamers and Planks are pop-ups so they will occcupy part of the buffet on the nights they are open. I hope this helps!
  17. Wish we had Planks and Steamers! Would much rather eat there than Alfredo's, Ocean Terrace or Vines.
  18. You can bring on 12 cans per person. Must be cans - no bottles. I hope this helps!
  19. If you want to book the same time in the same dining room for every night you can do that in one step with the "Book Dining Plan". If you use the "Create New Reservation" you will need to choose your time and dining room for each night. We did it each day because one day we have an excursion that gets back a little later and one day we want to eat a little earlier. You can always change your reservations if things come up to change your plans. I hope this helps!
  20. We will have granola bars with us if we have any left since this is the last day of our trip. I was just hoping for something more substantial and I don't drink coffee. We will arrive in Anchorage the afternoon on the day before so hopefully we will be able to pick up something. It just seems that a lot of breakfast places in the area are closed on weekends or they close early in the day.
  21. You can send messages to others on the ship using the Princess app and you don't need to pay for WIFI. The only down side is they won't get a notification that they have a message so they will have to check their phone to see it. I hope this helps!
  22. There is a boarding "window" and it is the same for everyone
  23. We will be leaving early in the morning for our flights to Katmai National Park. I see they have a breakfast place but it doesn't open until 6am. Do they have a shop where we can get something to eat before that or is there anyplace nearby that we could by something the night before to eat in the morning? TIA
