  1. I have not seen this asked before. Our TA booked our flights through EZAir. Our names are listed correctly on our Travel Summary but they look "funny" when I call up our flights on the airline sites. My TA tells me this is normal but I don't want to have any trouble with TSA. Our names are listed as Firstmiddle Mr Last. Do I need to worry about the missing space between the first and middle name or will it be okay with TSA? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but we don't fly very often and we cruise even less. Thanks!
  2. You are correct - if you order within the package there are no "service charges" - if you order outside of the package there are additional "service charges". The original poster was stating the prices of items if you don't have a package.
  3. If you choose to eat at one of the "Casual" venues and your meal is not covered by a package you will pay $14.99 & 18% service charge so your bill will be $17.69. I hope this helps!
  4. We are booked at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel. It is attahced to the airport so you can walk off the plane and into the hotel. It is expensive but for our date in July it is $500 less than Pan Pacific. We are taking a cruise line transfer from the airport to the pier in the morning. Cheaper options would be taxi, uber or the skytrain all readily available at the airport. I hope this helps!

If you go to claalaska.com you can see where every ship is scheduled to dock in every port in Alaska. I hope this helps!
  6. No - you have to cancel first and then rebook. i was afraid to do that for fear of loosing what we had. It would only save us $60 so I decided not to risk it.
  7. The Plus fare really isn't a bad idea for your daughter. The Plus fare includes crew appreciation of $16-$18/day/person, WIFI of $25/day/person and the Zero-alcohol beverage package of $29.99/day/person & 18% service charge. These three items would cost at least $76.39 compared to $60 for the Plus fare. I hope this helps!
  8. What cruiseline are you on? Why can't you book a cruiseline transfer? We are on Princess and we fly into Vancouver on the 12th of July and we are taking a Princess transfer from the airport to the pier on the 13th.
  9. I tried it again and it still didn't work. I called Princess and they said they would "open a ticket" for me and I should hear something in 3-5 days. I'm not holding my breath!
  10. Yes - make sure to keep your phone in airplane mode. Try it at home to make sure that it works with your phone.
  11. I'm glad you got it to work! I have done that before and it didn't work but i will try it again.
  12. We decided to book at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport hotel which is attached to the airport so we can walk off the plane and into the hotel without additional shuffling around after traveling all day. It is still expensive but $500 less than the Pan Pacific. It is a little more expensive then other airport hotels that provide free shuttles but we like the convenience. Then we are taking the cruise line transfer from the airport to the pier in the morning. You can also use the skytrain, taxi or uber to the pier. I hope this helps!
  13. yes I have checked my spam folder and yes my email is correct. After this cruise I will set up a new account with my husband's email to use in the future. Not a big deal to me. Just thought others might like to know that they are not alone!
  14. Nope - i can't change my password on the website. If I try it says it has sent an email to reset but I never get an email. I called and they said keep trying! I ended up booking my cruise with a TA because I couldn't log in to Princess. This was in December and I still haven't been able to get in. I just use my booking number to access everything. Luckily, I don't cruise often so it's not a big deal to me.
  15. I have not been able to log into the Princess Website for months with my user name and password. I just use my booking number to log in.
  16. Main Dining Room - I could have booked Specialty but I don't have any OBC so I would have had to pay for it. Not interested enough in it to do that.
  17. I am not Platinum or Elite, I am in a balcony cabin and I have not made final payment. I cruise in July and I was able to make my dinner reservations a couple of weeks ago. I hope this helps!
  18. We have booked the train/bus combo because the bus has the ability to stop along the way for wildlife and picture taking. We recently did a round trip scenic train trip near our home and it was frustrating trying to take pictures from the moving train. Especially, with the wildlife. I hope this helps!
  19. Here are the dining venues by category across the fleet. Changes were made in August. I hope this helps!
  20. Be aware if you are going to Ketchikan on Norwegian your dock will be a 20 minute shuttle ride away from town.
  21. The Juneau whale watching tours are in Auke Bay - not a place cruise ships can go. You get much closer to the whales and the boat captains let each other know when they see whales so others can come to the same area.
  22. We enjoyed the Skagway museum. It is open til 4:00 and it is donation based.
  23. Princess and Holland America are the 2 lines that have the best Glacier Bay National Park access. I personally wouldn't take an Alaskan cruise without a balcony. We spent so much time out there on our last cruise. We saw sea otters, seals, whales, dolphins, bald eagles, waterfalls and rainbows from our balcony. Make sure to take binoculars! Just for fun I just looked at the Princess site for a cruise from seatle that includes Glacier Bay National Park in August and you can get a balcony for $3,664 for the 2 of you. Not sure what your budget is but this gives you an idea. I hope this helps! Happy planning!
  24. There are actually 4 levels of dining. Complimentary, Casual, Specialty and Experiential. The Casual ones cost $14.99 & 18% service charge and 2 of them are included in the Plus plan. On the Caribbean Princess those are Planks BBQ and Steamers Seafood. The thing that causes so much confusion is that they use very similar names for different venues. The "Salty Dog Grill" is complimentary pool side food but the "Salty Dog Gastropub" is a sit down "Casual" venue on some of the ships. The Gastropub is not on the Caribbean Princess, To add to the confusion both of the Casual dining venues on the Caribbean Princess are listed as "popups". I haven't been on a ship with them yet but according to the Princess website they will be in a Section of the "World Fresh Marketplace" during the hours that they are open. I wish they would be on my ship because they sound better then the ones we have. Oh well, I don't cruise for the food and I probably won't use my 2 free casual meals. I have attached a screen shot of the venue categories. I hope this helps!
