Incorrect.....Nieuw Amsterdam does not have Vista Suites. Deck 6 mid ships is SS Signature Suites and Deck 8 has SY Signature Suites. The suites on Deck 7 are Neptune Suites. Mid ship Vista Suites are on Pinnacle Class ships on decks 4~8. @RetiredTravelered you are not 'missing anything'. Generalisation is that mid ship rooms have less movement than rooms forward or aft. But if the ship doesn't have them in that position then you have to select the next best. There are mid ship Verandah cabins on Deck 5 (may or may not be already sold), or select a verandah room as close to the mid ship area as possible. BVI is a British Overseas Territory, it is not part of the UK although the Islanders have full British citizenship. The ETA only applies for entry to UK.

Inter City train from under Amsterdam airport directly to Rotterdam. Marriott is just opposite Rotterdam centraal station and Hilton is a block or so away. We did it in April this year during rush hour and although the train was very full, the offers of help we received for our luggage was overwhelming. We are in our 70's and there is a step up from platform to train, but would have no hesitation in doing it again.

Not new. It has been used for a few years. It actually named Muelle Adosado. Muelle is the spanish word for 'dock' and adosado means 'adjacent', so it translates as a 'row of docks' or a 'number of docks adjacent to each other'. Down Las Rambas to the column and turn right. Take the shuttle bus.

They really are not aiming at a southern european market, which would not eat before 9pm! But 7, or 7.15 is much too early for me. We all must be tramps! "she gets too hungry for dinner at eight....." 😉

I hang those ones on to the ceiling just above the door. Bought them from Amazon a few years ago, but here is the link to the product. Great for hanging wet clothes after a shore ex. Or 'pinning' the itinerary to a wall.

I have not seen a 'daily rate' offered recently.

April 2024 in Med on Nieuw Statendam it was 5pm and 7.15pm. 🙄

My most recent were on Rotterdam & Nieuw Statendam and I know one, if not both, of them had the electronics. However, I will admit that I was not carrying out a scientific survey, but just being 'nosey'!😇

We had a connecting room last year on Nieuw Statendam and did not have any problems. I always take a few magnetic hooks and hang coats or bathrobes as an extra baffle, just incase!

Gotcha! They would never play soccer on that field. It is a Gaelic pitch where they play Gaelic Football or Hurling. For a long, long time anyone who played 'foreign games' ie soccer, would not be permitted to play gaelic games and it is only very recently that the GAA permited their stadia to be used for soccer/rugby/american football etc. The clue is the goal posts, which look similar to rugby posts, but have a net in the lower (goal) area.
