  1. I never even heard of gelato on the WJ. No idea they even offered it.
  2. We’re due to board Grandeur on Saturday. I think everything will have pushed through by then.
  3. We have not sailed on Enchantment but a few years ago (less than 8 ) we were on Grandeur in a GS right beneath the WJ and I promised NEVER again. It was really noisy. REALLY noisy. I will never ever pay for a full suite again on a Vision class ship unless it is one of the ones that is NOT beneath the WJ.
  4. I think if you have kids along the hibachi is worth it but for just adults, I don't think it's worth extra money (in addition to what is charged for a dining package). Once you've been to one, you know all of the "jokes" and the schtick is just kinda silly. Personally I don't find the food to be particularly great, but it's not terrible. It's definitely one and done though, IMO.
  5. Yes, we've done that when we both get full offers but wouldn't be worth it since I just got the $$ off.
  6. We just got off Wonder where Dan won a comp cruise offer and I only won a $$$ off coupon. We are combing those where my $$$ off will go towards the upgrade.
  7. Yes. The post was responding to @Tree_skier’s video I post 525. I should have referenced it. Sorry to confuse.
  8. Yep. Me too. 1 serving of cap and then 1 serving of espresso. If you don’t add [at least 1] an extra espresso you end up with a cup of warm milk. Ick.
  9. Thanks for the room video. That bunk space is waaay bigger than I thought it would be. Very nice room with lots of space.
  10. It was a mixed bag. Mostly, it’s just a slightly more organized and less hectic version of the windjammer. I had been under the [mistaken] impression that the main courses would be served and only the side dishes were self serve but I was wrong. It’s all self-serve and the food quality is no better (or worse) than the jammer. Go with an open mind. It wasn’t horrible but I will definitely not bother with going again. I guess the most positive thing I will say is that you were assigned a table vs having to scavenge for one yourself. Other than that, it was full buffet execution. The thing that surprised me the most was seeing people dining there in their swimsuits. There were many people who made no attempt to “dress” for dinner ! Ladies were in the swimsuits with wet towels wrapped around their waists ! I wasn’t offended, I was just surprised.
  11. Vintages has never been included in the UDP that I am aware of. It is included for Star Class but not the dining packages unless something has changed recently.
  12. The only suite amenity dining on AD will be breakfast in a specialty venue (most likely, Chops). To my knowledge none of the ships have special sections of the MDR for upper level C&A members or suites anymore. In most cases, suites can go to the head of the line for MDR seating but before trying this I would check with the suites Concierge to make sure that it is a “thing” on AD. They may or may not allow the head-of-the-line thing. In the old days you could just flash your suites seapass and the dining herders knew to take you to the front. Not sure what they’re doing these days. No special menu items that I am aware of.
  13. I don’t see why not. Should be fine
  14. Ellen, I wouldn’t change anything if I were you. I think the lady helping me had no clue. It was one of the Promenade kiosks (I know better…I got what I deserved !). I’ve known too many people who did exactly what you are doing and it worked out fine. I just didn’t feel like arguing and in the end, it was all fine. I just had to switch some restaurants around. Honestly, I think I would have been fine too if I had just pushed forward with my original plans instead of asking for permission ! Lol Good luck !
  15. This week on Wonder we were told we must use our BOGO vouchers on nights 1 and/or 2. I was very annoyed. We were also denied using a BOGO for Hooked (which I was prepared for) and also Mason Jar brunch. I had to completely re-shuffle my dining rezzies but it all worked out.
  16. We’ll be going to the Bistro for dinner tonite (Wonder) for the first time EVER. We have eaten breakfast there many times but never dinner. Looking forward to trying it out for dinner.
  17. Yes and yes You will get your vouchers even when in SC and you can share them with whomever you wish. The Genie will definitely include your in- laws in dinner and entertainment activities.
  18. @Cruise a holic I hope you brought up your suite issue with the Hotel Director. Unless you go to them before you leave the ship you are unlikely to get any compensation, but if you address is up the chain you most likely would have. I realize most people aren't gunning for compensation but if you have an issue, you should let the management know about it and know about your disappointment.
  19. Vintages tapas is never an option for the UDP. It is excluded. 😌
  20. Here’s a hypothetical… If Dan and I were both to receive the “One person complimentary” offer, could we combine them and get a normal fully comped cruise for 2 ?
  21. We were excited to see an offer on Clubroyaleoffers.com until we realized it was one of those useless single complimentary offers. What a bunch of BS unless you happen to be a solo cruiser, which we are not.
  22. Update ! The crappy 4 and 5 night sailings offer that Dan received turned out to be one of those @#@#@ single person offers. Utterly useless 😔
