  1. The other rooms for five guests were the very front four interior rooms, and I was worried about my daughters and seasickness if we happen to have rough seas.

I appreciate all info and advice. We've only sailed on Riviera and wanted to try something new, but my family will not be happy with me if the room is noisy late at night.

I would say move it to be honest. There was a floor separating us and the theatre and we could very clearly hear the noise. Not sure but I am sure the music from the dance club would be equally as loud and it goes much later than the theatre did.

  2. Why would they not apply:confused:

Carnival USA and Carnival Australia are 2 different companies but I use Carnival USA not Carnival AU:)

last time I booked from Australia with ES I got price drops but couldnt get resident rates as they are North America specific..

I have seen posts where people in UK had issues. Maybe it is because they use Carnival UK & not USA? Who knows .. just thought I would have you check.

  3. We were on the Glory and got 20 % off a future 6 day or less cruise. I just booked a 5 day for Feb and tried the site. It let us put in all the info but did nothing. I called a rep and he put it all in for me. This was on a Saturday, by Monday it was all posted to our acct.

A side note. The way they posted it didnt reflect 20% off. They made the PP rate less than what we paid and then just deleted the difference from our total. Very strange but since the total matches I am not worried about it.

  4. Why doesn't Carnival go to Dominica anymore??? That is my dad's favorite port thus far

They stopped going to Dominica a looooong time ago. It was a scheduled stop on my first cruise in March '11 and was cancelled in 2010. There wee a couple of different things posted- maybe someone else can help.

BUT royal does a couple itineraries with Dominica as a stop.

  5. Not everybody feels that way. We like the stadium tiers. Everybody that's up on the Lido Deck gets a chance to see what's going on. They did away with them on the Sunshine and now have clamshells for only a fraction of the people that use to be able to be up there. We never use the Serenity area, don't frequent the bars, don't do brunch and the burgers they serve were good enough for us.

Yes, some people love the 2.0 but not everybody does.

We LOVED the stadium seating on the Victory and what was the Destiny.

  6. There are a couple of threads on the subject of cruises currently missing from the site but are showing up on fare viewer. Did you look there to see if it is still listed.

My Feb cruise is missing from the site( all Feb cruises on the Victory are) but it still shows on the fare viewer site. Who knows what is going on. I guess they have some bugs to work out for their "new and improved" site

  7. We were disappointed to see that the taste bar replaced the sushi on the Victory.... especially since the Victory doesnt currently have any pay for restaurants ( no steakhouse). Much rather have the sushi, it was always super busy so we were surprised.

I have seen some people post that on some ships they have found sushi in the buffet so we will have to keep our fingers crossed.

  8. I am not sure if this works the same way but we were given a 20% off code to use for a future cruise due to being on a sailing during hurricane sandy last year. We had the same restrictions, book with in 2 years sail with in 3. I booked our cruise and tried to use the link provided but it wouldnt work so i called Carnival to have them apply it.

They did this on a saturday and it was posted on monday. I never received confirmation. I just happened to look at our pricing and it was there. HOWEVER they really did it strange. They dont show the 20% off. They show a reduced rate pp (not equal to 20% of what we paid) and then the taxes. The total then shows the difference not covered in the pp rate. Strange but the total is correct.
