Thank you for posting this itinerary, kazu!  What an amazing experience this must be! 😍

We're boarding the Amsterdam at the end of this World Voyage on May 16th for the 17-day repositioning cruise through the Panama Canal to Vancouver, B.C. (...where I presume the Amsterdam will then be doing the Alaska season).

Never hear much about the Amsterdam but am looking forward to sailing on a smaller ship.

Chinook Wind - We did this last year and stayed on for the first 7 day Alaska voyage as well. We really enjoyed the smaller boat. The food was the best that we have had on any of our many cruises. I hope that you have a great cruise.

    Goodness....

Was gonna book a HAL cruise out of San Diego.... I see the Oosterdam for 03/14/2020 thru 03/21/2020 but I see nothing departing 03/21/2020.  Funny when I do the search it say "2 Results" but only one shows.  Just making sure I'm not missing something....  THANKS!

Oosterdam is doing 28-Day Hawaii, Tahiti & Marquesas sailing on 3/21/2020

I also call to have them remove the tray.

While we're on the subject of stuff in the hallways, something needs to be done about leaving the scooters in the hallway.  Back with the arthritic hip, getting past those scooters was very painful.

The scooters that I object to are the ones parked outside the elevators, or at the top of the stairs, and plugged into the powerpoint. So dangerous in an emergency.

  5. Hear is an example of the zodiac excursions offered on the Papeete to Auckland cruise. This is 2 hours long and costs $US149. Aged 12 and above.

EXC In-Depth offers innovative, expert-led, themed adventures. You are invited to dig deep into one or more theme on each tour -- nature and science, arts and culture, food and wine, history and perspective, or photography and active exploration.

The Explorations team takes you by Zodiac for a cruise along the convoluted coastline of the Vava'u island group. In the shadow of green hillsides, you'll pass tiny villages and wild forests, and make your way to a small island with a picturesque beach. Here you can relax, swim and enjoy this quiet corner of serene Polynesia.

  6. You have to open it in your cabin. You can drink it anywhere.

It must be consumed in your cabin if you have not paid corkage.

Each guest 21 years^ and older may bring one bottle of wine or champagne (no larger than 750ml) onboard in carry-on luggage at the beginning of the voyage. This bottle will not be subject to a corkage fee if consumed in the stateroom.
